Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Dare to Provoke a Psychic? Be Prepared!

"So, this guy's a creep, huh."

Saiki quickly understood why Sakura Airi was so reluctant to come here.

It was likely because Airi had come to buy a digital camera earlier and was recognized by this clerk, who turned out to be a perv. He must have stalked or harassed her before.

Maybe this is why Sakura's so hesitant to interact with people? And since she's naturally a bit gloomy, she couldn't bring herself to talk about it.

Saiki thought, quickly pulling out his phone and opening Airi's personal blog to scan the comments.

Soon, he noticed a string of comments that felt physically uncomfortable to read:

"I've always felt we're close."

"You're even cuter today."

"Did you notice our eyes met? I did."

The same user posted such comments daily, growing bolder each time.

Despite school rules banning outside communication, Airi could still see the comments.

Saiki glanced at the clerk's phone on the counter. With a slight use of his powers, he saw the clerk was the one leaving these creepy comments.

This confirms it.

Saiki's gaze shifted to the clerk.

"Hey, my friend's camera broke. Can you fix it?"

Kushida, unaware of the situation, politely asked about repairs, gesturing to Airi.

"Of course!"

The clerk's eyes briefly landed on Kushida before quickly returning to Airi.

This girl's not bad... but the one next to her is my Shizuku!

Shizuku's camera broke? There really is a god!

Now I can finally learn her real name and get her address and phone number... Perfect!

The clerk smirked, his lewd gaze fixed on Airi. "Got a warranty card? If not, fill out your address and contact info here."

Airi hesitated, feeling uncomfortable under his stare, but the camera was too important to her. After a few seconds, she steeled herself, her slender hand trembling as she reached for it.

That's Shizuku's personal camera! It must be full of private photos! I can almost feel her warmth!

The clerk's thoughts grew darker as he reached for the camera—

But Saiki's hand suddenly intercepted.

"Let me take a look. I might be able to fix it."

Airi paused, confused, but handed it over.

Saiki pretended to fiddle with it while secretly using his power—Object Restoration.

It reverts objects to their state from the previous day, effectively repairing them. It works on people too, but injuries or illnesses return the next day.

What's this kid doing? That's Shizuku's camera! He has no right to touch it!

The clerk's curses echoed in Saiki's mind.

Saiki ignored him, handing the camera back to Airi. "Fixed. Take it."

"Huh?" Airi was stunned but turned it on. To her surprise, it worked.

It's... fixed? I can avoid him now... I should thank that guy... But how? And what's his name? Saiki, right?

Finally remembered my name?

"Saiki, didn't know you were good with electronics! Why didn't you fix it sooner?" Kushida asked.

"Not really. I just remembered it might be a loose battery. Happened to me before." Saiki lied casually.

Loose battery? But I tried everything yesterday... Did Saiki do something?

Airi was still puzzled.

"At least we saved some points!" Kushida smiled at Airi, then turned to the clerk. "Thanks, we're good now!"

"Should check it again! Might have other issues!" The clerk, desperate to get Airi's info, insisted.

In his mind, he cursed Saiki: Damn brat, ruining my plans! You're dead to me!

"No need." Saiki said calmly, his gaze sharpening as he met the clerk's.

Yeah, I heard every word you said about me.

You're not my problem, but if someone like you stays in school, it could cause trouble.

So, for provoking a psychic, be prepared.
