"So how's the book?" Mr. Cat said, seeing that I had finished reading.
"Thank you for your help," I responded.
"My pleasure."
I stood up from the chair and left, but before I got far, I turned around and asked Mr. Cat, "Are there any interesting things in this library?"
Hearing my question, Mr. Cat turned green and responded while nodding his head, "This is only the tip of the iceberg. Above the Region, there is a Division. Each of these Divisions contains ??? number of Regions, and each Division has its unique theme," he said while manifesting a holographic interface.
"There is a Division where the floor is a vast, bottomless ocean. Underwater, books are submerged, waiting to be read." The holographic interface showed a library Division where the floor was indeed a bottomless ocean, with bookshelves submerged and stretching endlessly into the depths. The books within were waterproof and gave off the mysterious vibe of the ocean.
"I suggest when visiting this Division, carry a boat with you—and the necessary diving gear that could support diving to depths of ???."
"There is a jungle brimming with trees, carrying bookshelves full of books on their branches."
"Towers with built-in bookshelves. A Division where fire is undying and constant—books in flames that never burn, except for unworthy readers. Floating shelves in a bottomless peat. An endless void where the book is the world." The picture within the holographic interface shifted, following what Mr. Cat described.
"There are many, but I can only say this." He showed more pictures before ending his words.
Seeing the cat's introduction, my interest peaked, but I didn't act on it. I'll explore this place when I have time—right now, that's not my priority.
With a wave of my hand, I left Mr. Cat.
After running a bit and jumping through the Teleportation Point and General Teleportation Point, I reached the entrance of the library.
Upon arriving, a Librarian noticed me and waved her hand in greeting.
I nodded my head and left, leaving behind a word, "See you later."
The Librarian smiled while returning to her work.
'The Librarians of the Guild are all pretty girls. I might visit this place often... but of course, to read books.'
I walked through the hallway of the Guild, returning to the large lobby.
The magical lights glowed with brilliance, and through a window, the city bathed in the orange hue of sunset. Half of the sky had darkened, stars beginning to twinkle.
The other half glowed with the orange hue of the setting sun.
The moon began to rise from the east, showing its beautiful full face.
Beyond this scenery, looming in the backdrop, was the unimaginably massive purple planet—unchanging and unmoving—dominating the sky.
In the lobby, the population of Adventurers spiked; they were all returning from their adventures within the dungeon.
Long queues occupied the front desk while the Guild Employees accommodated them.
The magic stone exchange booths had even longer queues. I walked out of the Guild, but before I did, I didn't forget to wave to Eina.
Eina looked at me and gave a business smile while waving.
She was still a bit distant, but at least she responded. She was opening up a bit. Someone noticed Eina's movement and saw what I did—they tried too, but Eina only nodded politely and returned to her work.
I left the Guild and went to my second target: real estate. I planned to buy land here.
The place wasn't that far—it only took 30 minutes of walking to reach it.
"Are there any available lots?" I asked the receptionist at the front desk.
"There is. What kind of land do you need?" she asked.
"The abandoned ones. They're cheaper that way."
"Those lands are quite cheap, but I wouldn't recommend buying them. Some are near problematic areas, and because of that, no one is buying them," she spoke calmly.
"No problem," I responded.
"If that's the case..." The girl took out some documents detailing the available lands within the city.
She began to introduce each of the available lands—their characteristics and why they were priced that way. Some hadn't been bought because of prior crimes, such as murder or massacre.
Some were rumored to be haunted. Others were near the slums, where crimes happened daily. But even with all these kinds, there were still good ones—for example, an abandoned mansion with no downside except for its slightly pricey cost, or a house near the wall that no one wanted because of how far it was from the bustling areas of the city.
She introduced many lands with their pros and cons, and after a while, something finally caught my eye.
"I'll buy this one."
The receptionist flashed a bright smile and started processing my purchase.
After a while, she finished the process and the land was officially mine.
The land I bought was a medium-sized lot with an abandoned two-floor house.
The house was located in the slums and close to the Elsis Ruins—a part of the city filled with ancient ruins from the Old Era. This place once hosted a battlefield that decided who would be the next ruler of Orario, a battle where good and evil clashed relentlessly. This was also where the new kings of Orario were born—namely the Loki and Freya Familias. The former had three Level 7s, while the latter had the soul-level 8 of the city and even the old world. Of course, the Guild and Sovereignty are not included in that equation.
The lot was located in the east, and it was near an interesting structure: an abandoned church and an ordinary-looking house a bit farther from it. These two structures were what caught my attention in the first place. The church was the same one used by Hestia, and the house gave off the same vibe as the Guild's main building, the Pantheon.
These two structures were reflected in the window of the abandoned house when I was looking at its picture.
After buying what I came for, I left. Heading to the land I bought.
