Chapter 2 - Chapter Five: The Age of Kings and Crusades

Circa 1200 CE – The Crusades

As the world entered the medieval period, Marcus continued to shape the course of history. He appeared in the courts of kings, offering advice during the Crusades, a series of religious wars fought between Christians and Muslims. His actions during this time were particularly notable in the Holy Land, where he helped strategize the defense of Jerusalem.

During the siege of Acre, Marcus met with Richard the Lionheart, the famous English king, offering him tactical advice on how to break through the Muslim defenses. Richard, ever the warrior, was hesitant to take the advice of a stranger, but when his forces were on the brink of defeat, he reluctantly agreed to Marcus's plan. The strategy worked, and the Crusaders were able to take the city.

But Marcus's involvement did not end there. He continued to move through Europe and the Middle East, quietly influencing the outcomes of battles, ensuring that the balance of power shifted just enough to prevent any one side from gaining too much influence.
