The fight began when she (the Cretan) used her (the diamond) for her skills.
"You caught me off guard, you Cretan!"
"Aha! You have weaknesses my friend, you have always believed you were perfect" she spits as she spews that last word, thrown with the flying saliva as a degrading insult.
"I have never declared perfection! You have always hated me for one thing or another, I only ever wanted your friendship! Your loyalty!" She pleas, for understanding perhaps.
She won't get any
"MY loyalty?!" She screeches, and begins cackling a deep cracking through her vocal cords.
"You were the one! You were the betrayer! You constantly threw your undeserved success in my face! YOU had the audacity to portray your perfect life as if it was disgusting! You had EVERYTHING!" She screams, agony exploding from her mouth.
"You had it all! And pretended like you had nothing!"
She didn't have nothing, however with responsibility comes great pain and understanding. She did go through all of it and more, she was being made into a diamond under great pressure, she endured much. She only ever thought she was speaking to a comrade, a confidant, a friend. And yet, she was betrayed. She was used, compared to this creature every day. this creature became the very thing she had feared she was the entire time. Disguised as what can only be described as, a perfect chameleon, pretending to be a beautiful person, but underneath she was filth and disaster. Cretan.
The Cretan threw a dagger at her, expecting it to land true. However, over all this time still underestimating this diamonds abilities to overcome, to dodge manuever, and to fight the good clean fight.
She catches the dagger between two fingers, throwing it into the grass. The Cretan explodes an eerie screech from its venomous mouth, creating an ear splitting sound. Only other Cretans could stand such a sound, the rest forced to cover their ears.
And thankfully, she gave away all the others, all the disguised. Giving her sworn enemy the advantage once again.
And we believe, how unfortunate this creature must be, to have given such a concealment away.
The Cretan jumps at the diamond, slashing her sword down with all her might, expecting victory upon the battlefield. Killing her one true nemesis, however said nemesis has so many on her side. So many have gathered to bring justice and show support of the diamond. The Cretan is stopped by a shield, a shield of red painted blood and fire, along with black shards of obsidian stabbing outward.
The shield of a brave fearless warrior, one of great viscousness against enemies. The warrior of pure truth and stabbing boldness.
In the back of the battlefield, the one to be called as 'mother' despite her being only as a mother of one, the collective called her as such for her true nature, her goodness of spirit, her calm acceptance, and her ability to cast light upon all those who have wronged or done wrong. She was the truest form a mother could take.
She spoke, a simple sentence to the viscious warrior, a wise sentence indeed.
"Let her not be harmed, for she does not know in what she does, nor does she understand the consequences."
The viscous warrior snarled a slight, and mechanically shoved the Cretan back causing the creature to cascade to the ground.
He cannot help himself at times, especially once the diamond is involved. He is her eternal protector after all.
The mother once again speaks "she is but a child, living amongst intellectual beings"
"And yet children may know better than she! Hahaha!!" The warriors companions all laugh at the voice of the brown bearded guardian of the viscous one which holds the shield of truth.
With the mothers declaration, the diamond does stand and takes charge "as is mother says, she will not be harmed, but taken away where she will not be seen by me ever again, along with her fellow cretans."
"Understood" the truth holder turns to his companions, all in large stature to protect the righteous.
"Take all, move them to the blocking"
And so they begin to obtain the Cretans, binding their wrists, forcing them to the blocking. It is a three days ruck to the blocking from the battleground.
The diamond was advised not to accompany them, from the truth bringer, her most trusted protector. however, the diamond does not easily become swayed in her walks. She chooses to accompany the hoard of guardians, she hopes to obtain a semblance of peace from the encounter, a semblance of understanding to replace this bitter taste of betrayal.
Little does she know, she will not ever receive it from the mouth of a Cretan, for the Cretan will not give such satisfaction. You see, the hearts are blackened, the light gone, and no room for true compassion nor empathy lay there. But the diamond cannot see hearts as I, the diamond only hopes. Her hopes are what bring about the greatest change in the world, her hopes bring dreams, purpose and such joy and beauty.
Hence why sending the Cretan away, and out of her sight, is a very hitting slight indeed.
