Chapter 34 - 34

During the fall, Niley tried to steady herself, kicking her right leg against a tree to slow her descent.

"Be careful!"

Niley, who had just jumped down to attack the wolf king, turned around in time to see Han falling. She gasped, her heart in her throat.

Her husband had asked her to follow Han into the mountains. She had secretly brought people deeper into the forest. Not only was this dangerous, but if something happened, she would also have trouble explaining it to Mr. Chen.

Thinking this, she threw a vine at Han, wrapping it around him to pull him toward her. She was relieved to see that he was unharmed, but still shaken.

Before she could warn him, the wolf pack launched an attack.

She quickly pulled Han behind her and began flinging vines at the wolves, stabbing them one by one.

Han had only seen Niley using the vines for healing, but now, he was stunned to see them act with purpose.

The vines seemed alive, chasing down the wolves and delivering deadly strikes.

However, after a while, the vines became transparent and weakened, and Han looked at Niley, worried.

Niley had been seriously injured while fighting a zombie horde and used up her energy to safely teleport here. She had only recently recovered, but now, with her energy low and her worry about Mr. Chen, she had left her safe space too soon.

Seeing the wolves still attacking, Niley sneered. "Looking for death!"

With that, she withdrew her energy and launched herself at the nearest wolf, attacking with her bare hands.

Han, hearing Niley's cold voice, was about to say something but decided against it, fearing it would distract her. He was shocked when she ran toward the wolves without hesitation.

As the morning mist slowly faded, the forest was filled with the bodies of fallen wolves. Niley was in the distance, furiously attacking the pack.

She used deadly moves with every strike. Han was in awe, realizing his little wife was not just an ordinary person.

Before Niley could speak, Han also gripped his scythe and charged toward a nearby wolf.

But due to the difference in strength between men and women in this world, he was quickly outmaneuvered by a gray wolf. It leaped out of the way and turned to attack him, growling and snapping its claws.

Han barely dodged, but the wolf's claws scratched his back, causing a sharp pain.

Despite the pain, he gripped his scythe tightly, preparing to strike when the wolf lunged again.

In the blink of an eye, the wolf howled, and the other wolves turned to attack Han instead of Niley.

Niley noticed this and saw Han's back exposed, revealing three deep claw marks.

She was furious.

The wolves began to close in on Han, but before they could attack, Niley moved fast, targeting a smaller wolf.

She grabbed its neck and pounded its head with her fists until it stopped breathing. She moved to the next wolf, attacking with precision.

Han realized the situation was dangerous as the wolves surrounded him. Just as he bent to prepare for the fight, Niley was already ahead, attacking with speed and ferocity.

He didn't hesitate, raising his scythe to strike the nearest wolf. It dodged, but he quickly struck again, hitting it in the head.

The wolf stumbled, and Han quickly delivered two more blows, ensuring it was dead.

He didn't stop, immediately moving on to the next wolf, only to find that the wolves surrounding him had all collapsed, dead.

In the distance, Niley was still chasing down the remaining wolves, some even fleeing from her.

Han, witnessing her ruthless killing, knew there was no reason to stop her. After all, the wolves' revenge would be worse if they didn't finish them off now.

He gathered the dead wolves, counting twenty in total. Though exhausted, he didn't stop to rest. They had to leave before more animals arrived to investigate the blood.

After a while, Han grew anxious. He began to follow Niley's trail but was stopped by the sight of a large figure approaching.

It was Niley, carrying several wolves on her back.

He quickly walked over to her. "Wife, let me help."

Niley shook her head, not letting him touch them. The wolves were too heavy for her to store in her space, so she dumped them on the ground before checking Han's wounds.

Han was surprised by her silent demeanor but felt excitement rather than fear. She had killed over twenty wolves, yet he felt no fear.

Suddenly, a warm touch on his back made him flinch. He had never been this close to a woman before, and being touched on his back made him uneasy. He almost stumbled from the sensation.

"Hey!" Niley clicked her tongue, raising an eyebrow as she glanced at his ear. "Don't move. I need to clean your wound."

Her eyes lingered on his red ears for a moment before she realized how intimate the gesture was in this world. But with Han like this, if she didn't take care of his wound, Mr. Chen would surely punish her when they got back.

She shook her head, scolding herself for getting them into this situation, then began to clean and heal his wound, using her space abilities.
