POV: Ada Wong
Location: Echo Blacksite – Cell Sector Theta
She counted every second of her captivity.
Every bootstep. Every security cycle. Every guard rotation.
Every lie Zeyren whispered when he thought she was too drugged to notice.
Now?
Now the lock clicked.
Ada slid the stolen keycard through the panel—her hands still bloody from the last guard who got too close.
The cell door hissed open.
She didn't breathe.
Didn't blink.
Just moved.
The halls were cold and quiet—too quiet. No alarms. No lights. Just the pulse of Genesis energy in the walls.
She'd made it fifty steps before she heard it:
A breath that wasn't hers.
Ada turned, drawing a blade silently from her boot.
And from the shadows stepped a figure.
Echo Class – Cipher.
Female. Masked. Dagger in each hand. The only thing visible were her eyes—silver like ice.
"I was hoping you'd try this," Cipher said.
Ada didn't respond.
She didn't have to.
They launched at each other in the same second.
Fight Begins: Ghost vs Ghost
Cipher moved like smoke—every strike fast, controlled, almost surgical.
Ada blocked, countered, twisted—slashed low, drawing blood.
"Not bad," Cipher hissed.
"Not trying yet," Ada replied, spinning and kicking her into the wall.
Final Scene of the Chapter
They clashed blades once more.
Cipher paused, just for a breath, and whispered:
"You're not going to make it to him."
Ada narrowed her eyes. "Then you'd better kill me now."
They both leapt—blades flashing.
Darkness swallowed the room.
