Chapter 10 - Ten

I could not help it. Instead of bursting into tears and be the delusional madwoman, I laughed. So hard and loud that I felt that my throat were going to get dry and burst out.

"Why are you laughing, Alexandria?" he asked while staring at me curiously and suspiciously.

I closed my lips and tried to force back the fits of laughter, "You are a good jester."

His brows furrowed then he shook his head, "You think I am lying to you and doing all those things up?"

A frown was placed on my lips as I nodded my head vigorously, "Of course you are." I grunted, "Werewolves are not real and just a fantasy that humans have had invented and thought of."

His brows ceased deeper as a frown was visible on his face. His face was serious and not even one sign of joking can be seen, it was as if everything he had said was true but I knew better. What he said was simply not true. It was impossible.

My jaw had gone slack as the laughter subsided, "So you are telling me that werewolves are real?" I scoffed.

He looked away as a choked laugh came out of my lips.

"You're kidding." I uttered, answering my own question.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath then looked back once again at me. His blue eyes made my body shivers in delight and something more... Something worse that I could not point out. Something dangerous.

"Alexandria..." he mumbled making my hormones goes to chaos as my name slipped from his mouth fluently and perfectly, ".. you are a werewolf."

I looked down and bit my lower lip, "I am not a werewolf Spade. There's no such thing as a werewolf in real life." I stated firmly.

He sighed, "Do you want to see one?" he asked, "Do you want a proof Alexa? Because if you do, I can show you the proof you have been waiting and asking for."

My breath lodged in my throat at what he said. I knew that every minute that counts, I was just digging my own grave by letting it get into this. Spade had anger issues that I did not want to show nor deal with.

The dream felt like real, it was a very hard and aching process where all your limbs would feel as if you have been beaten down by hundreds of men. Strong and large buff men.

"I want to see it then."

As the words flew out of my mouth, I instantly regretted it. I never meant to push him to the edge to do the unthinkable. Neither is showing me his friends in their shirtless facade nor him in a wolf costume just to show me he was right. In my thinking capacity right now, I did not think that the things he was saying was true. Every part of it.

He lifted my chin making me looked at his blue eyes that were looking sullenly at me, "Are you sure?"

I did everything to keep my voice calm and steady, "Of course."

He slowly nodded his head, "Very well."

He stood up from the bed making me frown. Is he going away? He pushed the bed a little as I stared at him in amusement. He was strong and I liked that. He was looking at the wall behind me as my conscience kicked in. Was there someone behind me that was in a wolf costume? Was this some kind of sick prank that they were pulling again?

I tilted my head to look back but there was nothing but a wall. I huffed out a breath and looked back once again

to Spade. His arms were flexing as if his muscles were throbbing. His jaw hardened as little hairs stood up then his eyes shifted colors. Blue, dark blue then amber. As quickly as I saw him as a full-pledge human, as quickly as a pure black wolf stood in the room. His dark blue eyes staring straight into mine with those dangerous orbs that took my breath away.

I could not take it anymore. A loud gurgling scream ripped out from my lips.

Suddenly, two guys barged into the room. Their hands in a tight fist while looking around the room, "Where's the fight? I am ready to kick some as-es." the guy with black hair said.

My jaw dropped to the floor as my eyes bulged wider. What was happening? Who were they? My eyes once again scooped back to the wolf then at the two guys.

"Help me." I pleaded with the two of them.

Their eyes instantly fell down on me as their fist slumped down, "Where's the fight, Miss?" the guy with shoulder-length red hair asked while staring at me with a frown.

My finger pointed at the black wolf that was a few paces away, "He ate Spade!" I yelled.

They looked at me as if I was an unknown creature that landed on Earth and will conquer it with my little minions. They were looking at me then at the wolf, their lips set into a firm thin line. Their eyes narrowed into slits as it befalls on me.

"Are you joking... Miss?"

I shook my head, "Why would I? I mean, he literally ate Spade in just a matter of seconds."

"That..." the guy with the black hair pointed at the wolf, "...miss, is our soon to be Alpha."

I face-palmed myself. Then I heard footsteps running away from the room and the door closing. My body shook as I felt the fear creeping in me but it quickly vanished as I felt the warmth radiating somewhere closer. I slowly fluttered my eyes open and was met with blue eyes that were staring back at me.

"Why did you scream?" he asked with his deep husky voice that sent me to edge whenever he speaks.

"Spade...?" I stated, unsure.

His eyes twinkled, "I thought you want proof. So I give you proof."

My eyes widened as I stared at him suspiciously with my heart beating faster than normal, "What did you just say?"

My voice was shaky as my heart kept slamming in my chest. It was a bitter sweet feeling since I also felt butterflies in my stomach. My cheeks flushed as I stared at his electrifying blue eyes that made me weak inside.

His face was only an inch closer and his breath fanned my face. "I, my dear Alexandria, am a werewolf just like you," he ushered then brushed his lips on mine.
