Prolouge

I am standing right now here in front of the big glass wall. City lights is such a therapeutic view.

I just woke up from a bad dream. Until now, I still don't understand why I keep having that dream.

It was a dream about me. Crying and shouting for help. Shaking while looking at my bloody hand.

That dream was scary, and it felt so real.

I just pulled my hair so I wouldn't think about it again.

When I got back to my senses, I went back to bed. I'm trying to sleep again when suddenly I hear a sound. It's my phone vibrating.

I looked at the table on my side where my cellphone was.

[My pookie wookie bitch friend is calling.]

I smiled when I saw the name written on it. I'm the one who put that name when we were just in high school. I didn't change it because I didn't pay much attention to it anymore.

I immediately clicked the green button and pressed my phone into my right ear. I wish I hadn't done that.

I was greeted by her loud shout. She's like a worm that is poured with salt just because she felt excitement. She was squeaking and squeaking.

"Fuck, there wasn't a warning! It is your fault if ever I became deaf." I started when I didn't hear any more noise from the other line. She just chuckled at my response.

"I'm sorry, girl. Anyways, I miss you! "

She said it sweetly. I smiled. She knew I often dream about it. That's why she always does this to entertain me. She calls me every night to see if I'm okay. Even though the other things she says are pointless, she still helps me. I'm so lucky to have Hyuline in my life. Hyuline has been my one and only trusted best friend since I was in 7th grade. I was brought back to reality when she spoke again.

"How was your sleep, Xy? Are you okay? Did you eat? Did you drink milk? Did you already take your medicine? Do you want me to come see you there now? " She asked me one question after another. Right, she's always acting like a mother to me. Before she could ask again, I answered immediately.

"Stay calm, hyuline. I'm okay, I'm not dying yet." I chuckled. It is still quiet on the other line, as if she is still thinking about what to say. Seconds later, she spoke again.

"You didn't answer all my questions, Xy," she said seriously. I just sighed. Yes, she's always acting like a clown to me whenever I'm sad. But you'll be really surprised when she gets serious.

"My sleep is good, hyuline. I also ate and drank milk and medicine before going to bed." I lied. Right, I haven't taken my medicine yet. I don't know, but there's a part of me that thinks I shouldn't take it if I want answers to my questions.

"Do you want me to go there? I'll be watching you, Xy."

"I'm not a kid anymore, Hyuline. Besides, you should take care of yourself too. Take a rest, you still have duty tomorrow," I said worriedly. I know that she is always tired, and instead of resting, I am always the one she takes care of during her free time.

"You're my rest, Xy," she said softly. I chuckled. Cute.

"You're cringe. You have a boyfriend, but I'm your rest? You're cheating," I said jokingly.

"Nathan? Geez! He's willing to be a hooker. So, no worries." I just shook my head at her naughtiness. She was really good at changing the topic.

"Take a rest now, Hyuline. I'm going to sleep too."

"I want a different rest, Xy," she joked darkly.

"Bad grass is forbidden in the heaven." I interrupted her. She just chuckled.

Seconds later, she suddenly became serious again. "I wanted to tell you something, Xy." I was terrified. I didn't know, but I had a bad feeling about this. If she was going to say something good, her scream would come first. But no, it seems like this information is too serious.

"Spill it," I said shortly. I'm now preparing myself for the info she was about to say. But it looks like I'm really unlucky. I couldn't even avoid it when she told me.

"Tiger Ken Miller is in the Philippines right now."
