"Congratulations, it's a boy!"
Julian's mother gasped for air, tears streaming down her face. "Ohhh, my baby boy" she whispered.
"What will his name be?" the midwife asked gently.
"His name will be Julian" she said, smiling through the exhaustion.
"If only his Father is here to see his only child, but he chose to abandon us" she said with a sudden burst of tears.
As the years goes by, Julian have been living as a normal child throughout the years. Playing with other kids, helping his mother at house chores. Until one day, he starts manifesting his magic abilities along with other kids at the village.
Ninety percent of people of in this world can manifest magic. Some people who can't manifest magic were viewed as an inferior being that are similar to commoners. Imagine a commoner who can't even use a magic.
Some people are not born equal, most people are born with vast amount of mana are the ones with noble blood in them. Commoners have average mana making them more inferior than those with noble blood.
"Mom, its been months already since i turned 6 years old, why i still can't manifest magic, just like you? Just like the other kids?" Julian said to his mother.
"You have to be patient, Julian" His mother said while patting his head.
"I've been waiting for months, Mom. The other kids are bullying me because I can't use any" Julian said with a little tears in his eyes.
His mother hugs him tightly.
Suddenly there's a commotion outside of their house. They are being attacked by a group of bandits, the whole neighborhood has been plunged into a chaos.
The door suddenly opens, "Maria, we need to get out of here now!" Their neighbor Danny suddenly bursting open their door.
"What is happening?" Maria says while being in a state of shock.
"The bandits are attacking the village, come Maria let's get out of here" Danny says as he suddenly got struck behind with a sword.
"Hello BITCHES! Ohhh would you look at that, a fine ass lady with a child" Says the bandit at the door with a sword coated with blood of Danny.
Maria is preparing for a fight, "Julian, go behind me".
"Fire Manifesto: Flame Bomb" a medium size flame ball launches very fast at bandit making it explode.
Maria grabs Julian to escape at the backdoor quickly. "That bitch!" the bandit says with an annoyed voice, he quickly chase them. "Hey bitch! I'm gonna kill you along with your child!" as he was shouting, he casts a magic spell called "Fire Manifesto: Flamethrower", a very powerful flame magic, as they was about to be engulf in flames, Julian was behind and tries to block it with his left hand.
Julian absorbs most of the flame, his mother and bandit were shocked at what they witnessed. "Julian, is that your ability?" her mother says, "What a lame ass ability you got there kid!" the bandit mocks Julian.
Julian is trying to process what just happened, "I think this is my magic ability Mom, absorbing things? But i feel something itchy at my right hand", suddenly a flame like is manifesting at his right hand.
"This is weird, i absorbed the flame and now it manifests at my right hand?"
He aims it at the bandit, "Take this you asshole!", an overflowing flames have been launched at the bandit similar to his Flamethrower, it suddenly engulfs the bandit with flames burning him completely along with their home.
"Julian, that's a powerful magic!" Her mother hugs her tightly.
"Mom, i can actually use magic!" Julian was very happy that he can actually use magic.
Suddenly a group of bandits have surrounded them.
