"How murderous is this white tiger? The scene is so spectacular."
"The White Tiger governs slaughter—using killing to suppress evil."
"Hmm..."
The reason both of them were so shocked was that the scene before them was simply too staggering.
Piles upon piles of bleached bones formed a mountainous range stretching as far as the eye could see. Even with their vast experience, Su Min and Tian Hao couldn't help but suck in a sharp breath.
Judging by the aura lingering on these remains, every single one had belonged to a formidable expert in life. The weakest were Divine Transformation cultivators, and even body parts of Mahayana experts could be spotted among them.
What shocked them the most, however, was that these bones were truly dead—unlike the previous Great Desolate Holy Body's remains, which had retained some semblance of "undead" potential. These bones were utterly lifeless, incapable of reanimation.
Clearly, these were the remnants of the malevolent miasma left behind by fallen experts—something far beyond what ordinary people could contend with.
"Well?"
"My scalp's gone numb."
The two exchanged a silent glance before descending from the sky. Though the mountain of corpses looked imposing, they posed no real threat now.
"What a waste. These bones have lost all value."
After scanning them with her divine sense, Su Min couldn't help but sigh. These remains had fossilized completely, rendering them useless. Of course, any one of them would cause a sensation if brought to the outside world—but only as collector's items. For cultivators like them, they were worthless.
"This mountain of corpses must be countless times larger than the Himalayas from my past life. The scale of this war is even more horrifying than I imagined."
Su Min sighed inwardly before refocusing. She needed to pinpoint the location of the White Tiger's legacy—but soon realized it was unnecessary.
At the base of the bone mountain, a milky-white killing intent pulsed ominously.
And then—
"Ugh—Western Metal's Sharp Gold!!!"
In an instant, Su Min clutched her forehead, her face paling. As the most lethally imbued of the divine treasures, the Western Metal's Sharp Gold had unique properties.
It had actually severed a strand of her divine sense.
"What's wrong?"
"Don't probe downward with your divine sense. The Western Metal's Sharp Gold is down there—and just a wisp of its aura injured me. That thing is dangerous."
Su Min's expression darkened. Clearly, this world held surprises beyond her expectations. Among the divine treasures she'd encountered so far, the Western Metal's Sharp Gold was undoubtedly the most perilous. If given a choice, she'd prefer to absorb it last.
The Eastern Azure Wood and Southern Vermilion Bird's Flame had been tempered by their original masters, leaving only their purest essences for easier absorption. The Northern Water's Profound Origin, though less refined, was gentle by nature and posed no issues.
But the Western Metal's Sharp Gold was different. The White Tiger, as the embodiment of slaughter, offered no concessions to successors. Either you could refine it—or it simply wasn't meant for you.
"This..."
Tian Hao's pupils contracted as he watched blood trickle from Su Min's nose. Even after reaching the Dao Comprehension stage, his soul power still fell slightly short of hers.
That was to be expected—she was an alchemist, after all. But if even she could be injured so easily, he dared not extend his divine sense recklessly.
Su Min's injury might seem minor—just a nosebleed—but for a late-stage Divine Transformation expert, falling ill was practically impossible. To put it bluntly, anything capable of harming a Divine Transformation cultivator could erase entire regions if unleashed upon mortals.
And since his soul power was inferior to Su Min's, recklessness would be suicidal.
"Ah, we've got company."
Su Min's brow twitched as her gaze shifted sharply toward the distant east. Though injured, the damage was negligible—her body, tempered by divine treasures and her unique constitution, repaired itself almost instantly.
She didn't intend to descend again into the depths of the rift. There was no need. Even from above, her perception blanketed the battlefield like a fine net. Two figures were approaching—fast—and the oppressive weight of their auras stirred instant revulsion in her blood.
"As expected," she murmured, voice calm but edged with frost. "This won't be a simple contest. Two late-stage Dao Comprehension Fallen Ones. You handle them. Don't tell me that's too much for you?"
"Two?" Tian Hao didn't doubt her. Su Min never spoke lightly when it came to battlefield judgment. Fighting alongside her was like operating within the eye of a storm—effortless coordination, absolute clarity. She covered every role without flaw: reconnaissance, healing, command, and if needed, annihilation.
Frankly, it made her the ideal partner. Efficient. Unshakable. Lethal.
…Which was also precisely why Xie Yingying liked to stay near her.
If questioned, she would only give a cool, straightforward answer:"It's just more convenient this way."
Yes, convenient—because Su Min was efficient, dependable, always several steps ahead. It sounded perfectly reasonable. Unassailable, even.
But anyone who had watched them closely—truly observed the way Xie Yingying's gaze lingered, the way her footsteps always matched Su Min's shadow—would know there was more to it.
The truth was, Xie Yingying was… territorial. Possessive, in that quiet, elegant way of hers. And when Su Min was within reach—within sight—she was at ease. Guarded yet calm, like a sentinel keeping watch over a treasure too rare to name. Something irreplaceable.
Not that she'd ever say as much aloud.
Certainly not because seeing Su Min disappear, even for a moment, made her chest tighten. Or because staying close meant no one else could draw near.
No, definitely not that.
No, she would always insist—almost too quickly—that staying close to Su Min was simply practical.
Just practical.
Of course.
"Two late-stage Dao Comprehension Fallen Ones. Their auras are practically screaming for attention—and they seem fully restored. Disgusting. Who knows how many lives they've devoured? There's also an early-stage Dao Comprehension and a late-stage Divine Transformation with them."
Eyes closed, Su Min relayed her findings. The two Fallen Ones were so overwhelmingly powerful—and so rejected by the world—that she'd detected them instantly. The other two required slightly more effort.
"What kind of lineup is this?"
Tian Hao's eyelid twitched. Two late-stage Dao Comprehension experts? Even super sects might struggle to field such a force. Take Su Min's Immortal Gate, for example—it only had two Dao Comprehension experts, both at the early stage.
(Though their combat prowess was terrifying, they were still early-stage—completely outclassed here.)
"No idea. But they're definitely not from our world—otherwise, I'd have hunted them down already."
Su Min's voice turned icy. Had these Fallen been in her world, she'd have mobilized forces to exterminate them long ago. The only reason she hadn't dealt with others of their kind was that she couldn't find them.
"Leave those two to me. Anyone who associates with Fallen deserves no mercy—we're ending this today."
Golden light flickered in Tian Hao's pupils. His life's mission was to protect all living beings. These monsters were his sworn enemies. As for Su Min—while she lacked his lofty ideals—she wasn't about to back down from a fight either.
Both of them flared their auras, bracing for battle. Soon, black dots appeared on the horizon—swiftly enlarging until they loomed before them.
"Kekeke! So you're the one who recently broke through to Dao Comprehension. Such vibrant blood essence—what a feast!"
Before the figures even landed, two raspy voices cackled. Then, two withered, grotesque elders crashed down before them. Their yellowed, jagged teeth looked ready to tear into flesh—which, admittedly, was their exact intention.
Tian Hao, with his Great Holy Sacred Body's potent vitality, was practically a walking delicacy to them.
"Two rotting old fools. Keep gnashing those teeth—see if they don't shatter."
Su Min sneered, multicolored light shimmering in her eyes—the radiance of her divine treasures. If she'd once been nicknamed the "Crimson Blazing Bird," her palette was far more diverse now.
"Young lady, I sense the White Tiger's killing aura within you. You must be its inheritor. I'll offer you a choice—"
Before the elders could continue, a youthful voice rang out from above.
"A choice?"
"Such a beauty—why not spend a pleasant night with me? My father is a Mahayana expert, and I rule an entire world. Wealth and luxury beyond your wildest dreams await."
"..."
Tian Hao's eyebrow spasmed as he glanced at Su Min. If his girlfriend had been propositioned like this, she'd have incinerated the offender on the spot.
Yet Su Min remained eerily calm—arms crossed, studying the youth as if deep in thought.
Though this wasn't the time, Tian Hao was genuinely curious now.
Sure enough, Su Min soon spoke.
"Judging by your pallid complexion and feeble vitality, you've overdosed on aphrodisiacs. Such potent stimulants have severe side effects. Despite being a late-stage Divine Transformation expert, you're lacking in certain departments, aren't you? A soft, weak man like you shouldn't embarrass yourself here."
"..."
Silence.
Tian Hao stared at Su Min as if seeing her for the first time. Normally, her ethereal demeanor made such thoughts unthinkable.
But these words? Absolutely savage.
"A three-second wonder like you should spare us the cringe. Go relieve yourself first—I'll wait."
"..."
Tian Hao's face darkened. Even the two elders gaped in disbelief, their eyes darting to the youth. The latter's delicate features twisted into a purplish grimace—because Su Min had struck a very raw nerve. His father's cultivation technique leaned yin—rendering him incapable until reaching the Unity stage.
(Not quite "castrate yourself to cultivate" levels, but close enough.)
For a ruler of an entire world, this was unbearable.
"I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
Su Min's mocking, pitying gaze was the last straw. The youth lunged forward, ignoring the elders' attempts to restrain him.
"Hmph."
Su Min had provoked him deliberately. As a seventh-grade alchemist, she'd instantly spotted his imbalance.
While unsure of the cause, his yang energy was critically depleted—overwhelmed by yin.
(Except for the Solar Sovereign and Lunar Sovereign physiques, all cultivators required balanced yin-yang energies. Imbalance led to... complications.)
If a woman's Yang Qi is too strong, her feminine characteristics will be covered up, and she may even grow things like a beard and an adam's apple, and she may not be able to practice.
For men, the most visible symptom was certain inadequacies.
Hence his rage—Su Min had struck his Achilles' heel with surgical precision.
So when Xie Yingying saw that Su Min was able to absorb the Taiyang Qi, it was like seeing a ghost, because there was no change in Su Min at all.
"Oho, triggered. This one's yours. Two late-stage Dao Comprehension experts shouldn't be too much for you."
Su Min whispered to Tian Hao. These two Fallen had self-sealed—their laws irrevocably flawed. Though troublesome, they shouldn't overwhelm him.
As for the remaining Dao Comprehension expert and this late-stage Divine Transformation youth? Her prey.
And since he'd charged at her—well, she wouldn't hold back.
In a flash, Su Min's form blurred. Obsidian armor encased her body, and her raven hair turned snow-white.
"Azure Dragon Skyrending Fist!!!"
Without hesitation, she channeled her power into her fist—and smashed it into the youth's face.
THUD!!!
The impact sent him flying even faster than he'd arrived. After tumbling hundreds of meters, he finally stabilized—but his once-delicate face was now a mess.
Blood gushed from his shattered nose, and one eye had been obliterated. Residual energy rampaged through his meridians, ravaging his soul.
"Not so tough, kid."
Su Min flicked a scratch on her armor. Both had traded unguarded blows—but hers had been completely negated by her defenses.
