Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Silent night.

The purple-black color of the sky seemed to have descended more densely on the city.

The most terrifying thing was—

So much of the smell of death all around, so much of the signs of destruction, so much of fear—yet nothing was making a sound anymore.

It was a city of death.

And in the middle of that city of death stood the only living being—Reaper.

Reaper was silently looking around.

His light pink eyes were so cold and terrifying that it seemed,

He didn't see anything as human or life.

He was like a creature on another level—

A pure "Predator", whose job was destruction.

A thin invisible line was spinning in his hand—

That power was silently cutting through the air of the earth.

This was his Psychic Aura, the first level of which was now awakening.

Psychic Ability - "Mind Devourer"

Reaper's first ability:

He can steal the thoughts, plans, fears, and memories of his enemies — everything.

Just by looking, he can see

who is thinking, what they are planning, how weak they are.

It's not just reading.

He can inject poison into the enemy's brain if he wants to—

cause wrong decisions, panic attacks, or complete paralysis with just mental pressure.

Suddenly, a huge monstrous ghost emerged from a crack in the ground.

His body was rotten, melting, and poisonous shadow smoke was spreading around him.

He screamed, so loud that the surrounding ruins shook.

But Reaper didn't move a single step.

He just closed his eyes.

The Awakening Pulse spread through his mind —

A powerful wave, invisible but terrifying.

And in the next moment, the monster suddenly began to tremble.

His soul was being cut out of his body by an invisible knife.

The monster fell to his knees.

He held his head in his hands, as if trying to pull out his own brains.

His eyes were bloodshot.

A shrill cry escaped his mouth—

of a being who was slowly being eaten alive.

Reaper moved forward slowly.

The air around him grew heavier with each step.

His long, black-purple hair swayed quietly in the wind, but the fire within him was spreading with every passing moment.

He stopped in front of the monster.

There was nothing but a hint of annoyance in his eyes.

"You thought I was going to kill you?"

Reaper whispered softly.

"No. I'm going to break you. From the inside."

Reaper pointed his two fingers at the ground.

And an invisible 'Seal' painted on the ground opened.

A strange sign spread around the monster's body—

Something written in an ancient language, impossible for the human eye to see.

From within the darkness, his psychological degradation began.

His memories, his fears, his pain were all merging together into a black empty hole—

An endless Void, which eventually swallowed up his entire existence.

The monster was destroyed.

But without any bloodshed.

Only with silent cries and stopped breathing.

Reaper opened his eyes.

That cold, lifeless smile appeared at the corners of his lips.

"One down."

"Millions more to collapse."

A thousand plans were still swirling in his mind—

And his mind knew that the stage for the real hunt had not yet been set.

The world had not yet become its final 'Abyss'.

But the time was very close.

And far away, from behind the ruins of the deserted city, unknown and more terrible enemies silently watched.

They knew that trying to stop the Reaper would be digging their own grave.

But still... they would come.

Because between fear and death—the one who stands between the two, his name is the Reaper.

The sky was no longer dark today.

No, it was a swallowing emptiness, from which no light returned.

Reaper stood in the rubble, both hands in his pockets.

The pink light of his eyes was piercing the darkness, like the flame of a forbidden fire.

Now the Aura within him was no longer 'Silent'.

It was a kind of pulsating death wave, which was spreading throughout the area,

rupturing not only objects, but also the veins and arteries of human minds.

Something invisible was moving around.

Nothing was... and something was everything.

A whisper —

A suppressed cry —

An unbearable sadness seemed to descend upon the world all at once.

It was "Whispers of the Abyss" —

Reaper's new but unstoppable Psychic Field,

which could instill fear, confusion, and images of death into the minds of enemies at will.

Psychic Ability Evolution: "Abyssal Whispers" Unlocked!

The ability to ensnare and destroy any living being in its terrifying illusion.

Real-time Illusion Creation and Mind Break are possible.

Reaper closed his eyes.

His long, black-to-purple gradient hair fluttered in the air,

and the dust around him froze for a moment.

His silence shattered the invisible Barrier —

and the first "Mind Fracture Event" began.

The last survivors of the city — the broken soldiers, the drunken survivors — all suddenly stopped.

Their eyes went blank.

They saw—

Their own death.

Their own knees.

The wailing of their own souls.

Some slit their throats, some smashed their heads into the ground.

And there was only one sound around—

crying and moaning.

Reaper began to walk slowly,

small cracks forming in the ground under each of his footprints,

and with each breath he took, the air pressure became more terrifying.

That strange, shameless cold smile spread across his lips—

of a hunter who likes to see his toys die.

Still, he did not fight.

Still, he did not raise his hand.

Yet the city was almost destroyed.

And this was the true horror of Reaper.

He could break people's minds and souls just by being present.

At that moment, something strange appeared in the distant sky.

A strange distorted light—

A Distorted Gateway, from which unknown shadow creatures descended.

They were the reservoir of dirty, chaotic energy—The Broken Ones.

They walked with their bones protruding from their bodies like knives.

Their faces were distorted, their eyes were red, and their gait was like an insect dragging.

They had come here for one reason—

To finish off the Reaper.

But the Reaper didn't stop.

There was no surprise in his eyes.

There was no fear of resistance either.

There was only annoyance in his eyes.

He took a deep breath.

The air around him instantly became heavy.

And an invisible wave rose from beneath the ground—

A Psychic Roar, which was soundless, but shattered everything.

The Broken Ones couldn't breathe.

Their deformed bodies began to crack.

Their eyes burst into blood.

Before they knew it, their existence was destroyed.

Reaper stopped.

He looked up at the sky and slowly closed his eyes.

"Will anyone come again?"

There was an epic emptiness in his voice.

"But come.

I'm waiting.

I haven't woken up yet."
