Synopsis
It's the first day of high school, and our protagonist is walking into a world of new faces, new experiences, and a whole lot of potential for romcom shenanigans. He's feeling excited, but not in a "let's learn some new things" way-more like, "let's see what kind of trouble I can get into." He's convinced that this is the year his love life will finally kick off, even though, let's be real, he's never been good at dating. With a bit of nervous confidence, he imagines the classic "meet-cute" moments that are destined to happen. But things quickly take a turn as his first day is filled with unexpected twists and awkward encounters, all leading him into a high school experience that's way more complicated than he ever anticipated.

Chapter 1 - First Day of Highschool

The First Day of High School

So, it's my first day of high school. You know what that means, right?

New school, new faces, new hotties. And by "new hotties," I mean the kind of girls who walk into the room and instantly make every guy in the building lose their ability to think clearly. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

I'm walking to school, and I have to admit, I'm actually feeling kind of... excited? But, like, not in a nerdy, "I'm excited to learn" kind of way. More like, "I'm ready to get into some romcom shenanigans and maybe meet a cute girl, or five." High school's about new beginnings, right? Well, that's what they keep telling me.

Oh, and I.... the main character of this story .... am already imagining the "meet-cute" moments. The classic moments where the hot girl and I accidentally bump into each other, and she looks up with those eyes you know, the ones that make you freeze and immediately start wondering if you've had enough sleep, because surely, your heart can't be beating this fast.

It's totally gonna happen. I know it. It's basically written in the stars. Like, come on. It's a romcom, and I'm the main character. Of course I get the girl. Why wouldn't I?

But wait, hold up.

Narrator : oh, right, I almost forgot. That thing I always leave out. The thing that's been the elephant in the room since... well, since forever. He's never actually dated anyone.

Yeah, let that sink in. This guy, the "main character," has been completely untouched by romance. Why? Oh, you know, it's not because I'm a bad guy. I mean, if I was, this whole school would know by now, right? No, it's because.... well, look at me. Do I look approachable? I've got those "intimidating eyes," you know? The kind that make everyone think I'm some kind of bad boy, when in reality, I'm just a guy who likes video games and wishes he could get a girl to notice him.

But anyway, here I am, walking to school, pretending like I care about making a good impression. I don't. But whatever. It's just another day in the life of an "average" guy with absolutely no dating experience, but who totally believes that this is his year. Yeah, I've got that kind of confidence. Let's just hope it doesn't get me slapped in the face.

Suddenly, the school bell rings, and I'm like, Oh, great. Another classic romcom trope:

The protagonist running late on the first day. Am I a little too stereotypical? Absolutely. Do I care? Nope.

I pick up my pace, because there's no way I'm showing up late on the first day. I've got image to maintain.

But as I'm rushing through the front gates of the school, guess what happens? I see her.

There she is. The girl of my dreams. Cue dramatic music.

Her name? Mikaela Sato. And let me tell you, she's a total bombshell. Cute? Check. Intelligent? Oh, absolutely. Friendly? Sure, if you don't mind the fact that she's probably too busy to give you the time of day. But here's the kicker, and I'm not even gonna pretend like I don't notice it: Damn, her boobies are out of this world.

You didn't hear that from me. Okay, maybe you did. Whatever. I'm a guy.

Cut me some slack.

I can't help it. My eyes probably look like they're gonna pop out of my head. It's just too much for my poor, innocent soul to handle. But hey, this is a romcom, right? So, if I happen to stare a little... just a little... okay, a lot, sue me.

Now, here's where I get to do something I've been dying to do: I introduce myself.

"Yo, I'm Ryuji Takahashi," I say, without skipping a beat. "I'm in Class 1-A, and yeah, my life's about to get weird. Probably gonna make some dumb mistakes. Like, you know, being a pervert right now. But I can't help it. You saw her too, right? Just... wow."

Narrator: and now that I've made my dramatic introduction, let's move on. Because guess what happens next?

Screams echo down the hallway. It's not the kind of scream you'd expect from a horror movie. Oh, no. This one's different. It's the kind of scream that makes you think, "Something big is about to walk through those doors."

"She's here! Back up!"

Everyone moves out of the way, like magically creating a path in the middle of the hall. And then, there she is. Walking like she owns the school. Her name? Akira Suzuki. The most intimidating girl in the whole damn building.

If you had to describe Akira in one word, it would be "badass." She's got that "I will end you if you talk to me wrong" vibe. But what really gets me is the way everyone just steps aside when she walks. Like, they all know, Yeah, don't mess with her.

But here's the kicker, right? Akira's got a secret. The moment she spots Mikaela, her whole attitude changes. She goes from "Mafia boss" to "awkward puppy" in, like, one second. I'm talking about a complete 180. I swear, I almost expect her to start giggling like a little girl when she gets closer to Mikaela. It's like, one minute she's ready to fight someone, and the next minute? She's blushing and all soft around Mikaela. What is this, a switcheroo?

I'm not even gonna bother trying to explain that one.

And look, I'm not here to do the whole "narrative buildup" thing. I'm lazy. So, let me just tell you what's going on: Akira is Mikaela's best friend. Yeah, I know. Shocking. But don't worry, I'll actually tell you more about it later. Right now? I'm still too busy being completely distracted by Mikaela.
