Synopsis
Note: The main character is a Girl Ye Lin acquires a mysterious system that allows her to change exactly one word of the original Douluo Continent plot—and each single alteration sends shockwaves through the entire story. Changing “walk” to “roll” makes Tang San literally tumble down the mountain. Swapping “cry” for “laugh” turns a desperate plea into maniacal glee, nearly costing Yu Xiaogang his life. Altering “hundreds” to “tens” upends spirit ring counts—and Tang San’s power scaling. With every edit, Ye Lin watches familiar characters’ fates twist into unpredictable new shapes. Can she master this world-rewriting power… or will one wrong word destroy everything? Full pdf of this fanfic is available on my Patreon shop - no more waiting for chapters patreon .com/UIGOD

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Changing One Word, Tang San Tumbles Down the Mountain

"Change just one word in the storyline, and it actually alters reality?"

Ye Lin stood there, staring in surprise at the system prompt. She had just transmigrated to Douluo Dalu's Holy Soul Village—literally not even a second ago—and the system had already arrived. Now that's speed.

And of course, she had the classic protagonist setup: both parents dead, completely alone. No surprise there.

"How do I modify it?"

The system interface floated up, showing the current plot:

[Ye Lin was preparing to carry a pot of congee…]

She thought for a second, then changed the word "congee" to "chicken."

Inside the iron pot, a flash of white light burst out, and the plain congee transformed into a fragrant, mouth-watering stewed chicken.

She took a sniff, her eyes widening."This smells amazing!"

She asked the system,"Can I modify anything?"

"Give me a plot where Ye Lin is a human, and I want to change 'human' to 'god'."

[If you have enough points, it's possible.]

"What do you mean?"

[You get only three modification chances per day. Small changes like this aren't restricted, but major ones have strict limitations. Every modification earns a point. Points can lessen restrictions or be used to redeem prizes in the points store.]

"Interesting,"Even though there were limits, this golden finger was still pretty damn strong.

"But only three points a day? That's stingy."

[The system will issue random missions. Completing them earns rewards—including points.]

[Ding! New mission: Modify Tang San's storyline. The bigger the change, the bigger the reward.]

"Not bad, not bad."

"At this time, Tang San should be up on the hill practicing Purple Demon Eye, right?"

After wolfing down half of the tender stewed chicken, Ye Lin quickly made her way to the little hill where Tang San trained.

Up on the hill, a skinny kid sat cross-legged, eyes closed, breathing steadily. When he opened them, a trace of purple shimmered across his pupils—Tang San himself.

Tang San slowly got up. Suddenly, he shivered and sneezed hard, feeling a weird sense of unease. He looked around, found nothing, and shook his head, blaming it on his imagination.

[Tang San is walking down the mountain, preparing to go home…]

Ye Lin saw her only chance and silently modified a verb.

Tang San worked so hard getting up the mountain, so she thought she'd help him "speed up" the trip down.

Tang San was walking when suddenly—his foot slipped. He tumbled forward, his body curling into a ball as he rolled uncontrollably down the hill.

He frantically circulated his Xuan Tian Technique, trying to stop, but it was absolutely useless. His body was completely out of control.

"BANG!"

Tang San slammed straight into a tree. He sighed in relief. Finally stopped, right?

Ye Lin watched from afar, curious what would happen next.

Would he really stop?Or would he… get up and roll again?

Tang San didn't stop. Instead, like a rubber ball, he bounced off the tree and continued rolling down the hill.

Ye Lin's jaw dropped."Holy crap, this is a rule-breaking modification!"

Tang San tumbled at terrifying speed, and when he finally reached the bottom, he collapsed flat in front of Ye Lin with a loud "thump!"

[Ding! Story modification complete. Tang San tumbled down the hill. Reward: one limited-restriction modification opportunity—such as downgrading Tang San's Xuan Tian Technique from level ten to zero, or changing his Clear Sky Hammer to a Clear Sky Nail.]

A mental image popped into Ye Lin's head of Tang San clutching a tiny black-blue nail instead of a hammer. She almost let herself get bamboozled by the system.

Ye Lin thought darkly,"System, stop trying to trick me. I don't even know what my martial spirit is yet. Tang San might have his dad to back him up; I have nothing."

She stepped forward and helped Tang San up."Tang San, how'd you end up rolling down the hill like that?"

Tang San awkwardly patted the dirt off himself. His body was covered in bruises and hurt like hell.

"I, uh, kinda got dizzy going downhill and tripped."

He himself wasn't sure what the hell just happened.

"You were staring at the sun at dawn—of course you got dizzy."

"You weren't secretly training some eye technique, were you?"

"No! No, no!"Tang San frantically shook his head. There was no way he could let anyone know about Purple Demon Eye.

Back home, Ye Lin pondered how to use her new modification opportunity.

She glanced at the system interface. The mission was still there, but grayed out.

"System, didn't I already complete the mission? Why's it still there?"

[It's a daily mission. But only the first completion gives the best reward.]

"Daily mission!"

"I like it!"

At that moment—

"Xiao Lin, are you home? Grandpa's here to pick you up!"

The voice of Old Jack, the village chief of Holy Soul Village, rang outside.

Ye Lin suddenly remembered:Today was Martial Spirit Awakening Day.

She walked out and saw Tang San already tagging along behind Old Jack.

They lived close by, so they naturally went together.

On the way, Old Jack kept rambling about martial spirit knowledge.Tang San listened politely—but obviously already knew all this.

Led by Old Jack, they arrived at the so-called "Spirit Hall" of the village—basically just a brown wooden hut.

Seven other kids were already waiting there, along with a young man dressed in crisp white gear.

"Damn, he's kinda handsome,"Ye Lin muttered, fangirling just a tiny bit.

"This guy must be Su Yuntao, the future Blind Douluo."

Su Yuntao was quick and efficient. After a brief chat with Old Jack, he got straight to business—he had a tight schedule and had to visit multiple villages a day.

Su Yuntao quickly arranged six black stones into a hexagon on the ground, signaling a child to stand in the center.

"What you're about to see might be scary,"he warned,"but if you're lucky, you'll experience it too."

"Martial Spirit: Lone Wolf—Possession!"

With a sharp shout, Su Yuntao completed a martial spirit possession.Even with the warning, the kids were still scared stiff.

He moved fast.

"Blue Silver Grass, tool spirit, no soul power. Next."

"Stone, tool spirit, no soul power. Next."

...

Soon, only Tang San and Ye Lin were left.

Ye Lin started getting excited—What would her martial spirit be? Could she sneak a peek at the storyline?

[Tang San awakens Blue Silver Grass, innate full soul power. Ye Lin awakens...]
