Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: The Tangled Web

The secret room had become their sanctuary — a forbidden space where professional façades slipped away and raw desire took root. Here, behind locked doors and shielded cameras, Park Min-Joon and Seo Yuna shed the polished masks they wore for the world, giving in to a passion that grew more reckless with every stolen moment.

Their early encounters crackled with nervous energy, the constant threat of discovery only sharpening the intensity between them. Whispered confessions in shadowed corners. Kisses stolen behind towering equipment racks. Every touch was a brush against danger — and it thrilled them.

Min-Joon found himself hopelessly ensnared by Yuna's dangerous duality: the innocent charm of her baby-faced features clashed deliciously with the daring spirit she revealed only to him. He relished the way her shyness would dissolve under his hands, replaced by a fervent need that mirrored his own barely restrained hunger.

Yuna, for her part, was awakening to a side of herself she had never dared explore. Min-Joon's dominance stirred something inside her — a secret craving to surrender, to be guided, to trust. It both frightened and excited her. The office hierarchy they maintained during the day bled into their secret encounters at night, creating a tangled dynamic of power, submission, and dangerous longing.

Their clandestine meetings grew bolder. A stolen kiss in a darkened stairwell. A heated embrace in an unused storage closet. Every secret tryst fed their hunger — and their carelessness.

Yet, their fragile facade was beginning to crack. Lingering glances held too much heat. Fingers brushed for a second too long. A flush of color would bloom on Yuna's cheeks whenever Min-Joon's gaze settled a beat too heavily on her.

The office, with its intricate web of gossip and ever-watchful eyes, was a perilous place for lovers with secrets.

Sharp-eyed secretaries traded knowing looks. A few managers seemed to pause a moment too long when passing by. The subtle shift in atmosphere had not gone unnoticed.

And then, there was Lee Jae-Hyun.

Jae-Hyun, another senior employee, had long nursed a quiet resentment toward Min-Joon. Ambitious, calculating, and always observant, he had begun watching them more closely. There was a speculative gleam in his eyes whenever Yuna laughed a little too freely near Min-Joon, or when Min-Joon's hand brushed her lower back — a touch too familiar.

One late afternoon, fate conspired against them. They found themselves working late in a shared office space, the tension between them almost unbearable. They moved carefully, maintaining the illusion of professional distance — yet the pull was undeniable.

As Yuna reached for a file high on the shelf, her hand grazed against Min-Joon's. The shock of contact jolted through them, momentarily shattering their composure.

It was in that charged instant that Ms. Choi — their notoriously strict boss — entered the room.

Sharp heels clicked against the polished floor as she approached. Her gaze swept over them with a predatory precision. A faint, knowing smile ghosted across her lips.

"Working late, Mr. Park? Ms. Seo?"Her tone was mild, almost amused."Dedication is admirable. Just ensure all confidential materials are properly secured... We wouldn't want any accidental disclosures."

Her eyes lingered — too long — and the subtle emphasis on "accidental" sliced through the air like a blade.

Min-Joon and Yuna stiffened, exchanging a silent, panicked glance. Ms. Choi's parting smirk was a silent warning: I see you.

That night, back in his apartment, Min-Joon stared at the ceiling, unease gnawing at the edges of his mind. The risk they were taking was growing heavier by the day — but stopping now felt impossible.

His phone buzzed.

A message from an unknown number.

His blood chilled.

A single blurry photo loaded onto the screen — him and Yuna, entering the third-floor secret room, unmistakable even in the grainy shot.

Beneath it, a simple text:

"I see you."
