Chapter 28 - 28: Nicole Kidman

That's right; it is indeed Nicole Kidman! Although she appears quite young, Henry can still recognize her.

With an angelic face and a devilish figure, she dazzles with her long golden hair, shining brightly in the sunlight!

Nicole Kidman is not only stunningly beautiful but also comes from immense wealth—shocking wealth, to be precise! According to a survey from various magazines, the Kidman family owns 24 million acres (approximately 97,000 square kilometers) of land in Australia, ranking eighth among the "individuals and families with the most land" globally. They possess more land than Hungary!

Nicole embodies the archetype of a wealthy young heiress, exceptionally affluent and radiant!

However, she has been passionate about acting since childhood and has participated in many TV shows and films. By 1989, this Australian beauty would become an overnight sensation with her stellar performance in the movie "Sky Crossing," subsequently rising to stardom in Hollywood.

The film is nearly finished as the editing is likely in progress.

Nicole Kidman's arrival in the United States seems to signal her intent to pursue a career in Hollywood!

"Are you a Cisco technician? Oh, please come in; I have been waiting for an hour or two!" she exclaimed, inviting Henry inside her home, which many would view as the residence of a goddess.

After entering the house, Nicole poured Henry a cup of coffee. Henry thanked her and took a slow sip, evaluating Nicole Kidman's coffee-making skills. The taste wasn't extraordinary; it was just slightly bitter...

"Could you add some sugar? Thank you..." Henry requested, extending his coffee cup toward her.

"Oh, of course!" Nicole replied, fetching a box of sugar and leaving him to sweeten his drink as he pleased. They chatted as Henry added sugar. The conversation primarily revolved around movies, during which Henry said, "With your looks and charm, if you choose to act, you'll undoubtedly become a Hollywood star!"

Nicole laughed heartily at his compliment.

"Mr. Henry, I'm actually an actor!" she revealed.

"Oh, really?!" Henry feigned surprise. "I believe you'll be a big star in no time!!!"

"Hehe, thank you for your encouraging words!"

After chatting for a while, Nicole led Henry upstairs, where the computer was set up in the bedroom alongside the modem—facilitating the easiest access.

Nicole's bedroom featured a large Simmons bed. Henry noted how spacious it was for both of them. The room was tidy, adorned with movie posters on the white walls, including posters of Nicole's own films as well as her favorites.

On the right side of the room was a computer desk, housing an Apple computer.

Henry opened his toolkit, retrieving the modem, network cable, crystal head, and networking pliers, then proceeded to connect the network cable. As he finished connecting and prepared to rise, he caught sight of a pair of striking long legs. His eyes instinctively traveled upward to view her shapely, toned thighs, and he felt a wave of dryness in his mouth.

He regretted drinking that coffee...

Henry stared for a few seconds but ultimately managed to regain his composure. He was no longer the naive youth he once was; he had matured into someone of high standing, with numerous assets and experience that tempered his previous lack of restraint.

Nicole remained blissfully unaware of Henry's gaze. Instead, she focused intently on the computer interface, dialing a number. Her slender fingers struck the keys, creating a cute image as she worked to connect. Following the call, she opened the Netscape browser, and Henry felt a thrill of satisfaction seeing that she was using the correct software and not the AL browser.

A moment later, a global online website popped up.

"Do you have a Global Online email account?" Henry inquired.

"Of course," Nicole replied, continuing to browse the webpage.

Henry scratched his head in confusion. Did she forget that he was in charge of her account?

Forget it. He could access it from the website's backend. Although she wouldn't say it, he was well aware of her account credentials because Global Online utilized real-name registration—ha ha...

"Thanks, I can go online now!" Nicole said, breaking Henry's train of thought.

"No need to thank me; Cisco's service users always come first!" he replied, before reluctantly preparing to leave. He couldn't be too shameless about overstaying his welcome. Just as he opened the door, a young man approached, ready to knock.

The young man held a bouquet of roses and smiled broadly. However, when his eyes landed on Henry and Nicole together, his expression soured.

"Nicole, who is he?" the young man asked coldly, glancing at Henry.

Nicole Kidman did not offer a response. Instead, she said, "Jim Aaron, stop sending me flowers; I don't like you at all!"

Jim's expression darkened even further; he knew rejection all too well. A handsome guy like him had never experienced such thwarted attempts at romance.

"Nicole, ever since I first saw you, I fell deeply in love. Don't you adore making movies? I'm studying directing at the University of California Film School, and I promise to make you a Hollywood star!!!" Jim Aaron proclaimed loudly.

"Jim Aaron, my acting relies on my talent, not someone else's assistance!" Nicole retorted coolly, revealing her anger.

"Nicole, I'm a good-looking guy, a top student at the University of California, so I deserve you. Do you really feel nothing for me at all?" Jim pushed, his voice filled with desperation.

"Even if I liked someone, I'd prefer an ordinary technician over you!"

Hearing Nicole Kidman defend him made Henry smile inwardly. However, he thought, "Nicole, could you find a better comparison? What does it mean to 'like' someone? Am I just a spare tire?" He shook his head in disbelief at the absurdity of it all.

Jim's embarrassment morphed into resentment upon hearing Nicole's words. He shot Henry a disdainful glance and mocked, "Who are you to feel wanted? You, a little technician? Wait and see, Nicole. I never intended to be a director before, but now I will become a major Hollywood filmmaker. I swear I'll get you into bed!"

Henry couldn't contain himself and spat out, "You diving little brat!!"

Really? Who the hell does he think he is? Nicole Kidman claims to want a dive? Is there no law on that? I haven't even mentioned any rules, yet he's acting so self-righteous!

As a little technician, he thinks he's better than me? Jim Aaron's bravado quickly turned into anger.

"Smelly kid, do you dare talk back to me?"

Jim clenched his fists, ready to swing at Henry. Luckily, Henry was quick on his feet and dodged out of the way in time to deliver a kick. At just fourteen years old, Henry wasn't as physically imposing as an adult but was still fit and agile.

In an unexpected turn, Jim didn't see Henry's strike coming and stumbled to the ground, caught completely off guard.

Wincing in pain, Jim scrambled back to his feet, fury ignited in him.

Nicole, shocked by the sudden escalation, rushed to intervene. Her pleas finally made Henry pause, dreading the conflict spiraling further. Sean, Henry's driver, noticed the commotion from a distance, flicked away his cigarette, and rushed towards them. In one powerful movement, he delivered a strong punch to Jim, who collapsed and remained unconscious.

The retired US Navy SEAL wasn't to be trifled with!

"Mr. Williams, are you alright?" Sean Houston asked, concern on his face.

"I'm fine, just a bit injured!" Henry reassured him with a shake of his head, bending down to inspect Jim. "This poor guy—he must've lost a couple of teeth!"

"Sean, wake him up and throw him out!" Henry commanded.

"Understood, Mr. Williams!" Sean replied before dragging Jim towards a nearby faucet. Once there, he turned the water on and drenched Jim's face. Jim stirred awake slowly, anxiety creeping in when he spotted Sean's towering form.

Sean's brawn was intimidating, heightened further by the recent attack on him.

"Get lost when you wake up!" Sean shouted.

"Y-yeah, just let me go!" Jim stammered, almost tripping over himself as he hurriedly departed. But not without a lingering glare filled with resentment, silently vowing to retaliate.

Meanwhile, Nicole led Henry into the room to tend to his injuries.

Henry reclined on the sofa, eyes slightly closed as he absorbed the aromas of the medicine and perfume wafting through the air. Nicole gently applied ointment to the scratches on his face, and he could feel the warmth of her touch. "Does it hurt?" she asked softly.

"It doesn't hurt," Henry replied with a laugh, his eyes drifting towards her figure. Noticing the prominent curves, he swallowed hard. Wow, she was stunning!

Suddenly, Nicole caught Henry staring at her with a gaze that didn't go unnoticed. Her cheeks flushed crimson, and she stood up abruptly. Straightening her clothes, she shot Henry an irritated look. "Pervert!"

"Uh, um... I didn't mean to! It was an accident!" Henry stammered awkwardly.

"Were you hurt anywhere else?" Nicole shot him an annoyed look.

"My arm is a bit bruised. I got hit several times when I was blocking him!" Henry admitted, rolling up his sleeve.

His arm was a constellation of blue and purple bruises. Jim had hit hard, and Henry realized the violence was misplaced!

"Ah! Your arm looks awful!" Nicole exclaimed, her concern evident as she gently touched the bruise. "Does it hurt?"

"It's a minor issue, really! I didn't mention it because it doesn't hurt that much!"

"You must take better care of yourself! You shouldn't ignore your injuries!"

Quickly, she grabbed the ointment and began treating his injuries, murmuring about how he needed to be cautious and heal properly. By the time she finished, it was already dark outside. Realizing Henry had fought, Nicole invited him for dinner.

Excited, Henry agreed without hesitation.

However, to his disappointment, he soon saw her picking up the phone to order takeout.

So she can't even cook?

Henry's spirits drooped, but soon after, the delivery arrived. The meal was rich, including fried shrimp, clam steamed eggs, steak, ham, rice, and thick soup.

As they ate, their conversation flowed naturally.

When Nicole inquired about Henry's background, she noticed his demeanor change. After hesitating for a moment, he replied, "I'm an orphan now..."

Henry shared his experiences, which surprised Nicole and drew her sympathy. Touching on the boy's sorrow invoked a gentle, nurturing impulse in Nicole, leading her to comfort him, "I'm sorry I asked..."

At that moment, the sweet scent of her perfume surrounded him, rekindling his strength amidst the sorrow. As he felt the warmth of her hand stroking his back, he was swept into vulnerability.

In shock, Henry instinctively drew Nicole closer, wrapping his arms around her waist, relishing the serene comfort of the moment.

Yet, Nicole sensed something was amiss when Henry's hand unintentionally brushed her lower back. As a result, her cheeks flushed instantly. Just when she was about to protest, Henry tugged her decisively into his embrace.

Just then, a loud knock broke the tension.

"Mr. Williams, your call!" Sean Houston's voice erupted from outside. "Miss Helen called, saying the company needs you!"

"Alright, I got it!" Henry shouted back, startled.

Nicole quickly extricated herself from Henry's grasp, glaring angrily.

"What were you doing just now?" she demanded, icy anger flashing in her eyes. "You were trying to deceive me and take advantage, weren't you? A perv at such a young age, just like that Jim Aaron! Get out! You're not welcome here!"

Henry felt dumbstruck. He had let impulsiveness guide him into a regrettable encounter. Now, faced with an angry Nicole Kidman, he began to realize that he had misjudged the situation.

"I'm sorry; I was impulsive!" Henry apologized earnestly.

"I don't need your apology; just leave!" Nicole Kidman insisted, her tone unwavering.

Caught off guard, Henry stood in silence for a moment. Under Nicole's piercing gaze, he picked up his toolkit and turned to exit. Before he stepped out, he said earnestly, "I was impulsive and made a mistake, but I didn't deceive you..."

With that, Henry departed from Nicole Kidman's home.
