Chapter 1 - 1 The white wolf's awakening

Chapter 1: The White Wolf's Awakening

The sky bled silver as the full moon rose high, casting its pale glow over the forest floor. Shadows danced beneath the towering trees, and the silence of the supernatural realm was broken only by the frantic crunch of dry leaves under swift feet.

Elvis James ran.

Her chest heaved, her eyes burning with tears, her heart pounding in tune with the ache in her soul. Her parents—brutally slain. Her family—traitors, who had scorned her since birth. Her life—shattered in one merciless night. She had narrowly escaped death, and not by her own doing.

A shadow had saved her.

He was fast. Strong. Dangerous. The Alpha of a clan she didn't know. He didn't speak. He didn't wait. He tore through the attackers with savage grace, his black fur soaked in blood that wasn't his own. And just as quickly, he vanished into the night, leaving her alive and breathless.

She didn't even get to say thank you.

Collapsing to her knees in the clearing, grief overwhelmed her. The moon above called to something deep in her bones, something ancient and wild. Anguish turned into fury, and with a cry that pierced the silence, Elvis screamed.

Pain exploded through her body.

Bones cracked. Skin burned. A fire lit in her blood.

She shifted.

White fur blossomed across her skin as her body morphed. Her eyes turned silver, glowing with a powerful light. She wasn't just any wolf—she was the White Wolf, a rare creature spoken of in prophecy, destined to heal what was broken and cursed.

Unaware of what she had become, Elvis ran. The forest blurred as she dashed through it, silent and swift, until her legs could no longer carry her. For hours, maybe days, she kept running, driven only by instinct and the need to survive.

Finally, she reached Blue Park.

It was a hidden territory, nestled deep in the uncharted supernatural lands. A place ruled by its own Alpha—her uncle. The man she barely knew, yet the only living family she had left. Collapsing at the edge of the forest, exhausted and trembling, she was found by one of the Blue Park wolves and brought before him.

Her uncle was no warm guardian, but he wasn't cruel either. He recognized her scent, saw her eyes, and knew who she was. He welcomed her in, gave her shelter, and for the first time in her life, she had a roof over her head that didn't come with glares or disdain.

Three months passed.

Elvis trained with the pack. She learned control. She honed her strength. But she also kept to herself, haunted by dreams of the Alpha who saved her. A man she had never seen in his human form. A man whose presence still lingered in the back of her mind.

One fateful night, under the glow of yet another full moon, Elvis couldn't sleep. The pull of the woods was too strong. She shifted, her white fur catching the moonlight like snow. She ran—not to escape, but to breathe.

The night air was cool against her fur, the earth soft beneath her paws. She raced through the forest, faster than ever before, until she reached a quiet glade. There, she shifted back into her human form, her bare feet touching the dewy grass as she stood in silence.

A sound.

A shadow.

Someone else was here.

Curious and unafraid, Elvis followed the sound. The woods whispered secrets around her, and her heart beat louder with every step.

Then she saw him.

A tall figure stood beneath the moonlight, his back to her. The moment he turned, their eyes met—silver clashing with deep, primal crimson. Her breath caught. Her instincts screamed.

Alpha.

Before she could move, he was upon her. But there was no violence in his approach—only fate. His eyes darkened with recognition. His wolf had waited. Hungered. Known.

With one swift motion, he bit into her shoulder.

A bond formed instantly.

Pain and pleasure exploded through her, magic weaving into her very soul. Under the full moon, Elvis James was claimed by Alpha Alexander Blackthorn.

The curse had found its cure.

And two fated mates were bound forever.
