Chapter 1 - Pushover Lord in the Game

"Shit."

That was the first word I muttered as I woke up in a plush bedroom. The situation was absurd. I'd gone to sleep and woke up buried in a luxurious bed. I couldn't remember a single thing that had happened after I got drunk last night.

I clearly recalled meeting my friends after a long time and catching up. We grilled meat, joked around, and the drinking session dragged on. I remembered declining my friend's offer to call a taxi and walking through the night streets. Then, I stopped by a convenience store to buy a hangover remedy, but after that, everything was a blank.

And that was what made me anxious.

What the hell did I do yesterday? Where did I go, and how did I end up sleeping in the bedroom of such a luxurious mansion? Did I wander into a furniture store or something?

I quickly looked around. Compared to the lavish bed, the room was stark. A tiny wardrobe was tucked into the corner like a locker, and a full-length mirror hung on the wall. It wasn't a furniture store—it looked more like a kidnapping scene, it was so barren.

Directly in front of the bed was an altar with strange markings, and beside it hung a row of pristine white robes on a rack. I recognized both the markings and the robe design, but I didn't have time to think about it seriously. Figuring out where I was took priority.

"What the hell?"

The room, which looked like the headquarters of some pagan cult, felt oddly familiar. It wasn't my old apartment or a reserve training dorm, but there was something strangely familiar about it. I was certain I'd seen it in some media before.

I got out of bed to inspect the room. Only then did I notice my lowered field of vision and how light my body felt. I was about 10 centimeters shorter, and the phlegm in my lungs had vanished.

Yesterday, I was a wreck from alcohol and overwork, every movement a groan of pain. Now, I felt as energetic as I did in high school. I tried stretching my back, and instead of the usual crack, it bent backward with ease.

That wasn't all that was inexplicable. My rough palms were now smooth, and my sagging skin was firm and glowing. My arms were thin but toned, and my lower body felt solid. My whole body was brimming with energy—I could probably work three days straight loading cargo and still hold up.

What the hell was going on? I rushed to the mirror hanging in the room. Inside stood a golden-haired, red-eyed pretty boy. His delicate features looked almost feminine, with semi-curly hair that gave him a noble air. Even his slightly pointed ears—I instantly recognized who this pretty boy was.

This guy was a game character.

In the Japanese fantasy RPG eroge *Heroine Legend*, there's a character whose concept went so overboard it became a meme. Peta Lucius. The son of Peta Sirius, a priest from the previous party of heroes, he's a powerful physical damage dealer with exceptional buff abilities, beloved by performance-focused players.

But beyond his stats, there's one aspect of his story that shakes the hearts of players: he's an extreme pushover.

Peta Lucius is naturally frugal and humble, and as an elf hybrid, he barely needs to eat. So, he only charges half the usual rent from his tenants. But these tenants exploit his kindness, using poor harvests as an excuse to pay even less. As a result, Lucius's domain has been in the red every year until the heroes arrive.

What's funny is that Lucius, being a priest of the Great Celestial Church, prays for fertile land every time there's a bad harvest. Thanks to this, his domain has the lowest rent but the most fertile farmland in the empire.

So, when you first enter Lucius's domain, you see fat tenants hiring other slaves to hoard crops while praising Lucius and the Great Celestial Church. Just knowing this makes him seem incompetent and pathetic. But Lucius's antics don't stop there. Even when the heroes witness this corruption and tell him about it, Lucius says,

"Even if the tenants are a bit greedy with the crops, I don't mind."

This drives both the heroes and the players up the wall.

To make matters worse, right next to Lucius's domain is the villainous lord, a tanned, fat, blonde NTR scumbag. Lucius's childhood friend, Siery, a trainee priestess of the Great Celestial Church, works as a nun on the NTR lord's land.

The lord pressures Siery to become his mistress, promising to pay off her family's debts and donate generously to the church. Siery, unable to refuse the lord who controls the church's operations, indirectly asks for Lucius's permission.

And Lucius, wishing their love eternal, grants permission and blesses them.

Despairing, Siery becomes the fat lord's mistress. When the heroes first visit the neighboring lord, they see Siery sitting beside him with dead eyes.

Eventually, the heroes resolve the situation by brutally killing the evil NTR lord, who tried to target them too. But many players were furious at Lucius for letting the woman who liked him go to the fat lord.

Anyway, after the heroes fix all of Lucius's messes, they can either take only the hero's relic from the Peta family or bring Lucius along. I remember ditching him and just taking the relic because his pushover behavior annoyed me. Plus, adding a male character to a harem party felt weird, no matter how strong he was.

So, here's the conclusion: I've ended up in the body of this pushover lord. I scratched my head, lost in thought.

If I'm in this pushover lord's body, what should I do now?

After a moment's contemplation, I realized this was similar to an isekai reincarnation. Since I'm already in a fantasy world, what can't I do? I raised my hand into the air and shouted,

"Status window."

**Name:** Peta Lucius

**Shock Trooper**

**Mace Master**

No accuracy penalty when using a mace.

**Heretic Inquisitor**

Can declare opponents as evil or dark-aligned.

Deals double damage to evil or dark-aligned targets and takes half damage from them.

"What the hell, it actually works."

Amazed that the status window appeared, I slowly read its contents.

By *Heroine Legend* standards, Lucius's current stats were more than enough to qualify him as a powerhouse. In the game, an adult male's strength is around 4 to 5. Anyone over 20 is already a superhuman with four times an adult's strength, but Lucius starts with 18 times an adult's strength.

Of course, this is just on paper—in reality, he could be stronger or slightly weaker.

Then there's the **Heretic Inquisitor** trait. In *Heroine Legend*, there's a reason no one tries to take Lucius's lordship despite his pushover behavior: he's ridiculously strong, and he's merciless if you cross his lines. Lucius is strict about his father's legacy—his lordship and his father's honor—more than his own wealth or the family's assets.

His devotion to his father, who died defeating the Demon King, is so extreme that anyone who dares threaten his lordship or insult his father is turned into minced meat on the spot.

In one of Lucius's cutscenes, a thief who knows Lucius's reputation as a pushover insults his father, provoking him. Lucius loses his temper, swings his mace, and kills all the thieves.

It's a scene meant to show Lucius isn't just a pushover, but players find it even more frustrating that someone this strong just takes it all.

"My lord, you're awake."

I looked up. A woman was calling me from the doorway. I couldn't remember if Lucius used honorifics with his servants, so I decided to use polite speech. If I suddenly started speaking casually and acting arrogantly, people would find it suspicious.

"Come in."

The door opened, and the first thing I noticed was her ample chest. Then, her cute, freckled face caught my eye. She was dressed like a typical noble's maid, but her figure and looks seemed too good for this kind of work.

Wondering if I could see her status window too, I tried to imagine it in my mind.

**Name:** Ira

**Occupation:** Fraudster

**Affinity:** 12

**Level:** 6

**Stats**

Strength: 4

Agility: 8

Intelligence: 12

Luck: 3

**Traits**

**Accountant**

Years of handling finances have made her highly skilled in accounting.

Automatically manages the domain's operating costs.

**Acting**

Can pretend to be another profession.

Currently acting as: Maid

**Skilled Thief**

Can unlock all doors below her current level.

This value is further adjusted by tools.

Now I understood this maid's true identity. Even if I didn't know her name, Ira, I recognized her as a key figure under Lucius—a fraudster. Early in the game, there's a scene where Lucius laments that a girl he entrusted with the account books stole money and ran away. This scene is a crucial foreshadowing of Lucius's pushover nature.

Her accounting skills and fraudster occupation made it clear: she was the culprit.

And then I looked at Ira's chest again. Her hands were clasped in front, making her already prominent chest jiggle even more.

"Lucky me."

"Huh?"

"Nothing, never mind."

I was already looking forward to catching this woman and making her pay.
