Chapter 1 - Chapter -1 A large bat.

Chapter -1.

"This? Where am I?" I was shocked to discover that I was still alive after being hit by a large truck; usually, a person's soul would have been sent to hell or heaven, but for someone like me, I wasn't certain which was the right destination, as I hadn't accomplished much in life aside from causing trouble for myself and others; yet, that was the thrill of existence.

Realizing I was alive, I quickly rose from whatever I had been lying on, initially believing I had just woken from a terrible nightmare; however, that wasn't the case when I found out that instead of resting in my cozy bed, I was on an old couch, and the clothes I wore were completely black, as if I were mourning my own demise.

"Ugh.. what is this smell?" As my awareness settled, I began to notice many strange things in and around the house; everything appeared altered or not as it should be.

"Don't tell me, I've been..." Being a fan of many web novels, the first thought that came to mind was to find a mirror, which I searched for, but to my disappointment, there wasn't a single mirror in the house. "Did this bloody fool not want to see his face or what?" I couldn't help but curse at myself, half convinced that I had transmigrated into some random guy's body.

Just as I was about to unleash a few more curse words, my eyes suddenly fell on something familiar; rather than calling it an object, it could be considered a treasure if it were the real deal.

With my heart racing, I picked up the "object," and after examining it for a few seconds, I extended my hand forward and, with a swift motion, swirled it while muttering, "Lumos."

What I wanted to do was have a hearty laugh at myself since the person's body I had acquired was a Harry Potter movies fan like me as he too had quite a good imitation of real wand; however, a few seconds later, right before my eyes, the tip of the wand began to glow all of a sudden, giving me a mini heart attack, "What the fuck? this is a real wand?"

Though shocked, the other thing I realized immediately was that the person's body I had acquired was most likely a wizard; but just at that moment, a flood of foreign memories began to invade my mind, making me even more astonished, "Severus Snape? how can that be?"

If these foreign memories that had invaded my mind were true, then the person's body I was inhabiting right now was the infamous half-blood prince; the only person in the wizarding world who despised brightness and shampoo. Jokes aside, with the arrival of new memories and the vast knowledge of spells and potions, I looked at the small old pillow lazily resting on the couch and once again waved the wand, chanting the spell, "Vera Verto."

The pillow right in front of my eyes changed its shape and the next moment transformed into a fine mirror, which I picked up immediately and then saw a large bat-like figure looking back at me, his entire demeanor matching the vibe of a bat.

"I really did get transmigrated into the body of Severus Snape, but how did this guy die?" I felt slightly confused, as the first thing was that there were no memories of Severus Snape dying, and the second thing was that this guy was one of the strongest individuals in the British wizarding world, so his death without reason seemed excessive.

But even after trying to play a guessing game for a few minutes, I couldn't find any good reasoning, so I decided to drop the matter and focus on myself, "First things first, let's check what today's date is?" I mumbled, and thankfully there were some newspapers lying around like trash, and thanks to the Daily Prophet, I realized that the time I had somehow transmigrated into was the year 1991, early August, "I've only one month to make myself comfortable in this body."

The timeframe I had was quite short, but since I possessed the knowledge and power of the half-blood prince, I knew that things were going to be troublesome even if I had much more time to adjust to this bat's body.

...

The day passed with my mind working tirelessly to make all the memories my own and pinpointing certain behaviors of Snape that I would need to adopt in the presence of specific people, as character development takes time, and I couldn't just start being a nice guy in front of that old Dumbledore; he would surely become more annoying after that.

"First thing, let's clean this filthy house and make it more livable." As the new day arrived and I was feeling full of energy, I decided to use it for a good cause.

"Where are you, my dear?" I joked while searching for the wand that I had placed somewhere yesterday, and after finding it under the couch, the mission of cleaning the house began with full force; "Thank Merlin that I've magic, or cleaning this shithole would take my life away as well."

"Scourgify!" "Scourgify!"

Cleaning the house, even with the most powerful spell that could clean anything in just one swift wave, took too much time, making me think that perhaps the reason Severus had died was because of his house, as he might have thought too much about it while crying for Lily.

"Lily? That's right, her son is going to start school this year, right? Maybe I should pay a visit to that person with some gifts of fine alchemy." Thinking about the image of Lily shown in the movies, I couldn't help but feel slightly jealous, and why not? At the current moment, I was a bat that had been a virgin for more than Merlin knows how many years.

"Let's change the image of a loser virgin first." As I continued to clean the house, which was now beginning to look more like a human habitat instead of a bat cage; the thing about Severus I hated most was his gloomy personality and character, so changing that would naturally allow me to bring about change over time.
