Eric woke up, feeling refreshed as always. The sun had just risen, as it barely shone through his window. Nevertheless, Eric enjoyed the cold breeze entering his window.
Although his room has the best electricity Andrew and Nestor could ever provide, he did not fancy utilizing them. He would not light the candle, either. For some reason, he simply liked what nature could provide.
Perhaps, that was how he became closer to Mother Earth. At first, he found it strange Mother Earth was not able to recognize him when she blessed him and his subjects not too long ago. However, he instantly realized Mother Earth might be bestowing blessings not to the individual but to the community—by only recognizing their effort to help her in some ways or another rather than their identity.
Eric recalled the image of Mother Earth. He did not miss her but he fancied her, too. He thought. She and Cassey might get along. They are both eccentric children.
