Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Hell

Standing in front of her, a menacing black door towered in front of her. Its texture was similar to that of coal and protruding out of it were jagged pieces of rocks that appeared to be shaped like a mouth.

The teeth came together to from this neutral look neither happy nor sad. Yet to the right of it a small grin could be seen a tiny flick unnoticeable almost hidden. As if the door itself was a human with a hidden; darker nature by design.

This only sought to emphasise the eery; oppressive nature of the door.

Looking around her, Shifa (who until a few moments ago had been in the hospital teetering on the edge of life and death) wondered what this gloomy never-ending place was. Suddenly...

everything came to life.

The floor that was originally non-existent seemed to appear in a snap revealing to be similar to the door. Such so that the floor was covered in jagged, black rocks that were sharp enough to cut through flesh.

As Shifa gasped from the pain, fire appeared creating a whirlwind that heated up everything within a certain radius of it. The heat was (although this might be an understatement and incredibly obvious to say) burning. As it cauterized the her previously blook soaked and wounded feet. Turning her feet black from the dried blood. The experience was as you could imagine extremely painful as Shifa bit down on her tongue to stop herself from screaming from the pain.

Finally, the flames died down as a figure arrived. Along with a desk that similar to everything here was also black. Although this time the desk was not rock as you would imagine but wood. The wood itself though had been seemingly charred to the point of becoming black. Its black appearance unlike everything else revealed instead a worn down; old nature. Presumably from years of use.

The figure himself though was yes black but not how you would imagine. As his skin had been seemingly burnt to the point of being black revealing behind his black and yellow teeth.

Looking directly at her, his expressions and eyes that were a gloomy crimson (as if the light in his eyes had gone) revealed him to have a neutral; bored look on his face.

As things started becoming clearer as to the place she was in Shifa almost wanted to despair from the belief that she had lived a good life but...

if she had truly lived a good life how could she be here. There must have been some kind of mistake.

As she was about to say something, anything to get out or even just understand why she was put in this situation. The Devil uttered his first words since appearing in front of her.

"Name: Shifa Hussain,

Age: 26,

Partners: none,

Family: Father, Mother, 2 sisters, 1 brother

Died: of cancer.

This is you. Yes."

As the Devil rattled of information about her. She looked in awe and fear at this demon as a being that came from the depths of hell. The idea that he was just some kind of office worker seemed almost comical. She almost wanted to laugh but couldn't as she was reminded of the grave nature of the situation.

She gathered up courage to speak demanding "Why am I here?"

"That is not for you to know" he answered back robotically answering as someone who had dealt with this question many times

"I don't deserve to be here"

"That is not for you to decide. Now yes or no is this you or not?"

The swerving and dodging of the questions caused her to once again bite her tongue as she wished he would answer even one of her questions. Realizing she was getting nowhere the next thing she said made her wonder if this was something she would later regret as she uttered" Fine. whatever reason I'm here. Whatever purpose. I don't care just don't make me go in there. I'll do anything."

The Devil about to once again answer robotically, processed the information that was given to him and slowly almost hidden a slight grin formed on his face as he asked "Do you truly mean that"

Shifa realizing that it was too late to back out now said "Yes"

Then the devil spoke

"I will give you a challenge. If you truly believe that you do not deserve to be here then show me through your actions. I will send you to 100 different people these people are all people fated to go to hell like you. If you can change their hearts and their fates then I will let you go to heaven but if you fail 51 of these people then you and all the people you failed and even the people you helped change will all go to hell"

With that he waved his hand as a another whirlwind of fire appeared but this time it was under her and it was burning her alive. The fire slowly obliterated whatever was left of her body until only her soul was left.

The Devil who until now thought that this would be another boring day laughed at the pure brilliance of his idea. Either he would get rid of his workload or even if that didn't work out would still get the entertainment and drama that he needed as after thousands of years in hell you can imagine that even for his sadistic soul torturing people had become boring. He needed something else something to add a little spice to the dish.

That is why as he whisked her soul of to wherever souls go to too leave hell. His eyes lit up as he had "forgotten" to tell one little thing that the 100 souls she would have to change are fated to be histories worst villains.
