Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: One Surprise After Another

It wasn't very late, but Li Yun was worried that Xia Weiwei might be concerned, so he quickened his pace and hurried home.

"Squeeeak..."

The long, grating sound of brakes was extremely jarring, followed immediately by a thunderous crash.

"Boom..."

Li Yun saw from a distance a black Audi with its side door caved in. The white airbag had already deployed.

A woman, her face covered in blood, was slumped over in the driver's seat, her head hanging by the door.

Perhaps it was the impact from the truck, or maybe it was the airbag deploying, but she had sustained a head injury.

It wasn't in his nature to leave someone in such a situation. Li Yun rushed towards the accident scene.

As he got closer, he could see that the woman was extremely beautiful. She had willow-leaf eyebrows, a straight and delicate nose with nostrils that seemed to be gently flaring.

Below her elegant nose was a cherry-red mouth with well-defined, plump, and rosy lips, like a ripe cherry that anyone would want to kiss.

Her white and smooth neck was framed by a blue dress, beneath which stood two proud and shapely breasts. But at that moment, blood was dripping continuously from her forehead, staining her chest.

"Drip... drip... drip..."

A strong smell of blood hit Li Yun's face. He grabbed the car door and urgently shouted, "Are you okay? Wake up, wake up..."

In a situation like this, there was no telling how serious the woman's condition might be. At that moment, Li Yun had only one thought: he had to save her immediately.

Li Yun peered through the shattered, frosted glass and confirmed that the woman was the only person in the car. He immediately tried to open the deformed door, but it was jammed and wouldn't budge.

"Hey, can you hear me? Wake up! Come on, wake up..."

Li Yun kept talking to the woman, then wrapped his arms around her ribs and pulled her out through the window with all his strength. Fortunately, her legs were not trapped by the deformed seat. She was dragged over the hard airbag and finally brought outside by Li Yun.

The woman remained unconscious the entire time, her head drooping and her eyes closed. She was an exceptionally beautiful woman, wearing a blue dress that perfectly outlined her slender and graceful figure.

Her skin was as pure and smooth as snow and milk, with an irresistible allure.

Especially her long legs, almost completely exposed beneath the dress, were as bright and smooth as the moonlight. She was truly a stunning and elegant beauty.

Without catching his breath, Li Yun kicked out the rear broken glass, retrieved the woman's handbag from the back seat, and found a Nokia phone inside. He made two calls in a row—one for an ambulance and one for the police.

After hanging up, Li Yun quickly looked back at the woman. She was stunningly beautiful, with a curvaceous figure.

Her breasts, outlined by her bra beneath the blue dress, were prominent. Her waist was so slender that it could be easily encircled by one hand. Her plump and round buttocks were eye-catching.

Li Yun couldn't help but look her up and down. Her fair and delicate arms, combined with her soft, red lips, and the faint perfume and the scent of a beautiful woman, made her incredibly alluring.

However, the blood on her face was quite alarming. Li Yun became anxious. If they delayed any longer, she might be in real danger.

What should he do? After some hesitation, Li Yun gritted his teeth, slung the black handbag around his neck, took a deep breath, and hoisted the woman onto his back.

The woman's body leaned forward, naturally resting against Li Yun's back. In her semi-unconscious state, she vaguely felt that this was a surprisingly broad and warm back.

Without a word, Li Yun started running. His speed was fast, but his movements were smooth, requiring both physical strength and skill, like a wild cat from the deep mountains.

The Lotus Community had comprehensive facilities, and there was a large hospital not far away. However, there was a barrier in the middle of the road, and the ambulance would have to take a detour through the previous or next intersection.

It would be faster for him to climb over the barrier and cross the road himself.

Li Yun ran towards the barrier in the middle of the road at full speed. Suddenly, he exerted force with his legs, leaped high into the air, cleared the 1.5-meter-high barrier, and landed safely on the other side.

A touch of rosy red appeared on the woman's pale face, like a red carp suddenly leaping out of the icy river surface in a snowy landscape, restless and shy.

Li Yun had previously been able to jump up to 1.5 meters at most, but that was without any load. Carrying a woman and still clearing 1.5 meters was much more challenging.

The woman lay on Li Yun's strong yet not rigid back. Perhaps because her lower abdomen had something warm to lean on, her pain miraculously eased a lot. She rested her head on Li Yun's shoulder.

The street was deserted, and in the distance, the wail of the ambulance slowly reached their ears. Li Yun shouted at the flashing lights, "Stop! Over here!"

The driver, who had good hearing, and with the quiet of the night, immediately heard the voice from behind. He glanced in the rearview mirror and then made a sharp turn, driving against traffic towards them...

The car stopped, and the accompanying staff quickly jumped out, placing the woman on a stretcher they had prepared.

After Li Yun explained the general situation, the two medical workers didn't get back in the ambulance but ran back towards the hospital on foot.

Li Yun wiped his sweat and followed, his nervousness easing a bit.

At 11 p.m., a middle-aged man in a doctor's outfit found Li Yun, who was sitting on a bench waiting.

Seeing the blood all over him, the doctor frowned and said, "Young man, are you injured too? Let the nurse take you for a check-up!"

Li Yun stood up and shook his head. "It's her blood. I'm fine. Doctor, how is she? Is she in danger?"

"There are several abrasions on her body and a head injury. Hmm, but overall, she'll be okay. Are you her family? We need to contact her relatives."

"I'm not," Li Yun replied. He thought for a moment, then handed the woman's handbag to the doctor.

"This is her bag. There's a phone inside. You should be able to find her family."

After the doctor left, Li Yun figured he had done all he could and quietly slipped out of the hospital without saying goodbye.

At the accident scene, it felt like a nightclub with flashing police lights that made everything look dizzying. Initially, someone had reported a man brandishing a knife on the street, and now there was a car accident involving a vehicle with a municipal government license plate...

Li Yun didn't want any interaction with the police, so he avoided them and took a roundabout way back to the Lotus Community.
