Evening had fallen when Luo Chen stepped out of the car in front of the city's most luxurious hotel — Imperial Grand Meridian. Slinging an old backpack over his shoulder, dust clung to his shoes, and his clothes had clearly lost their original color from age and wear.
At the reception desk stood a young woman who judged him the moment her eyes landed on him. As Luo entered, she moved forward, blocking his path with a condescending smile.
"Excuse me, sir. This hotel is for premium guests only. You look… a bit lost," she said, her tone dripping with disdain.
Without a word, Luo casually pulled out a sleek black titanium card and placed it on the counter. The receptionist froze in disbelief. The machine beeped — Access Granted.
Just then, the hotel manager received a call. The voice on the other end was deep and commanding:
"Anyone who dares disturb this guest will be terminated immediately."
The receptionist turned pale, panic flashing in her eyes. She quickly bowed her head.
"S-sorry, sir… your room is ready."
Room Number: 8901. The entire top floor. A Presidential Suite.
Luo entered the lift and ascended. When he stepped into the room, even he paused for a moment. It was nothing short of a royal palace — two floors, a private bar, panoramic city views, and a personal pool. Yet, Luo's expression remained blank. As if he expected nothing less.
His phone rang.
"Your first mission begins now."
He was to secure a deal with a small city-based company. But when he checked the name — Asterion Tech Solutions — Luo's eyes narrowed.
That wasn't a small firm.
It was the most powerful tech company in the city.
And the deal?
With Shinwa Conglomerate of Korea.
The Meeting That Shook the City
The next morning, Luo stepped out in a simple black suit. His car? A modest sedan — no flashy display.
When he arrived at Asterion HQ, the lobby buzzed with whispers.
"The new boss is arriving… they say he's young!"
"Do you think he's good-looking?"
"Maybe he's the son of a billionaire…"
Several women freshened up their lipstick in excitement.
But as soon as Luo walked in, silence fell.
"…Isn't he the same guy…? With those clothes, he looks like a janitor."
Then came an arrogant voice — Vihaan Oberoi.
Son of one of the city's top businessmen. Dressed in a designer suit, gold-rimmed glasses gleaming, ego at its peak.
"You? You're here to close a deal? This must be a joke."
Luo simply looked him in the eyes, unfazed.
Vihaan pulled out his phone and made a single call.
Within five minutes, 100 black SUVs screeched to a halt outside the building. Dozens of men emerged, all armed.
One stepped forward. "If you want to leave here alive, kneel and lick the spit our boss just threw at you."
The crowd held its breath. Security didn't move — everyone was under Vihaan's influence.
Then… Vihaan's phone rang. His father.
"You have no idea who you've just offended. Apologize immediately and get out of there. Or we're both finished."
Vihaan's face turned pale. He stumbled forward and bowed deeply.
"I-I'm sorry…"
Luo's gaze was calm. "I forgive you. Not because you deserve it, but because I have no interest in being seen just yet."
Shock rippled through the crowd.
The Deal with the Queen of the Moonlight
Later, the real deal took place in a private lounge at a five-star hotel.
Luo was to meet Sera Han.
Known as the Moonlight Queen, her beauty was celestial, her presence radiant like the sun. Every man in the room craved her attention.
But when Luo arrived… her eyes were only on him.
"You're not what you seem," Sera said, her tone intrigued.
Luo simply smiled. "And you are exactly what they fear."
The negotiation began. Contracts were placed on the table. Sera's assistant raised concerns — Luo's company was too small.
But then… the assistant received an anonymous call.
His hands trembled as he listened.
"Sir… this man… questioning him is equal to signing your own death warrant. His backer… is not someone we cross."
Without another word, the contract was signed.
Luo stood up quietly, buttoned his suit, and walked away.
Behind him, everyone remained frozen — unsure of who they had just entertained.
