"Please come to the city hospital and claim her", the line went dead.
Mia was at a loss for words, she sprinted out of their house, not telling Gia the reason. Gia was confused but rushed out with her anyway. Mia got to the main road, waiting to board a cab but Gia stopped right in front of her with her bike, gesturing for her to hop on. Mia looked thankful and said, "Fast, to the city hospital!".
Gia wondered why they were headed to the hospital but decided not to say anything, it was rare for Mia to lose her composure. They got to the hospital and asked around for Julian and Charlotte's ward. The nurse directed them to the intensive care unit.
Just as they reached the room, Doctor Jake was exiting with a gloomy expression. The twins rushed up to him and asked for their parents. Shaking his head, all Doctor Jake could say was "We tried our best, but they couldn't make it, sorry for your loss ". He patted Gia on the shoulder and left.
Three months later
Mia dressed up in a short red gown which left little to the imagination, her cleavage seductively obvious, she applied light makeup which made her blue eyes and pouted peach lips stand out even more.
Gia was dressed in a black short gown, her back was completely bare in this dress with matching net leggings and a bit more makeup.
They were currently working as undercover agents for the Genovese Hill Gang ruled by the famous mafia boss, Don Klaus Axel. They were on a mission to seduce the CEO of Alpine Ventures, Alexander Hans, and the CEO of Holts Estate Properties, Holt David.
Holt and Alexander were business partners, they were to seal their deal which was worth ten billion dollars, and put it on paper that night at the famous nightclub, Vogue Vibes.
The purpose of the twin's mission was particularly the documents that were going to be signed. Don Klaus had made it clear to them that this mission meant a lot to him before they left and so he only expected success but he further explained "If you feel anything that can endanger your life, retreat immediately ", he emphasized, looking intently at Mia, they nodded their heads in understanding.
As the twins entered the party, they already had their targets in mind. Gia would go for Alexander, he already had a record for not being able to look past beautiful girls, making his case relatively easy.
Mia would go for Holts, who didn't waste his time on girls but loved to attend parties. Mia was perfect for this role because she looked alluring and innocent.
There were gasps and hushed whispers as the twins entered the large hall. Males and females alike were momentarily stunned by how gorgeous they looked. Their intricate and soft features complemented their graceful motions as they outshone all the other women present at that time.
The twins walked slowly and gracefully, secretly searching for their prey.
Holt and Alexander were currently in one of the VIP suites, finalizing the agreement to the business deal.
" I hope doing business with you will turn out just fine ", Holt stood up to shake hands with Alexander when they were through with the document. " same here Mr Holt", Alexander snapped back.
Mia and Gia received information that the deal had been documented so they had to start their act. They looked at each other and nodded, going separate ways.
Alexander was already headed back to his suite when Gia dramatically walked past him, twirling her jet-black hair in her hands and sexily licking her lips, she sized him up and passed by. Alexander was stunned at her beauty and also excited, assuming he was going to get some pussy tonight.
Gia had walked a few distance and wondered why Alexander hadn't called her back. As she was about to go back to play some tricks, she heard "Hey sexy, mind a blast tonight ". Gia was speechless, that was pretty direct, rolling her eyes she turned around.
"And what if I refuse ". Alexander's eyes lit up, "she was hot", he internally screamed. "Name your price, please don't misunderstand, I just think you are expensive, I don't see you as a whore". Gia was furious but she had to hold it in "Fine then, she took slow steps to him, using his tie to twirl around his neck, let's begin".
Meanwhile Mia, on the other hand, had a hard time looking for Holt. She had prepared men to make her act more believable but he just vanished into thin air.
Feeling frustrated, she made to climb the stairs but her mind was concentrated on finding Holts before he could leave with the documents. She suddenly missed a step, just as she thought she was going to land hard on the floor, bracing herself for the fall but it never came.
She only felt a strong pair of hands around her tiny waist. Mia turned around to thank who had saved her but upon seeing his face, she felt like punching him.
Holts was shocked at the blonde lady in his arms, she had a very sincere pair of baby-blue eyes. He was still taking in her good looks when his wolf said to him "Mate". At the mention of that one word, Holt stiffened.
He had run away from his pack because his chosen mate, Cindy, whom he had fallen in love with after realizing he couldn't find his fated mate, attempted to kill him and give the position of alpha to her fated mate who was his brother. He had come to stay with the humans just for one reason " so that he wouldn't find his fated mate".
But the moon goddess had actually given him a human as his mate, Holts wondered trying to pick up a wolf scent in her but she was wolfless.
Mia stared back at him, she stared into his hazel eyes as different emotions crossed them, surprise at first, then excitement, hatred, anger, and hurt. Her back was aching at the prolonged posture, she let out a cough, and only then did Holt come back to his senses and gently dropped her.
Mia shyly looked down, she slowly raised her head, peeking at him through her long lashes. Hell, she was panicking, Holt wasn't the type to randomly invite a girl, given the situation at hand, she could only use her beauty.
Holt was still looking at her with mixed emotions in his eyes, Mia opened her mouth to say something but before she could speak, he carried her princess style and started moving up the stairs.
Mia was seriously confused by his actions then she decided to speak, fluttering her long lashes at him, she said " I sneaked out here alone sir and now I'm lost, can I stay with you for the night ".
Holts gave a low growl, she was so damn cute, all he wanted right then was to kiss her pouted peach lips but he knew better than that, he didn't want to scare his mate.
His wolf, Kaiden, had mixed feelings and Holts could feel it too. He asked Kaiden "Are you okay ", Kaiden gave a low "She's wolf-less, Holts and I don't have a mate". Holts reassured him "Whatever this means, I'll figure it out somehow ".
However, Mia was feeling embarrassed that Holts had ignored her, not realizing he was already taking her to his suite. Holts took her straight to his room, throwing her on the bed, Mia winced. Seeing her pained look, he immediately felt it, it was true after all, he was mated to a human who couldn't feel the bond of mating.
