It's Thursday and 78 degrees on a sunny day in New York on my lunch break. I sit on the grass soaking up the sun rays next to the fountain shooting up water with dancing colors. Pencil and sketch pad in hand . I sweep my gaze across the scene. The typical homeless in the corner , pedestrians walking by, construction workers doing their job, and kids playing. A striking older man caught my attention and I decided he was to be the muse of the day. The man wore a business suit worth more then my paycheck with the most striking blue eyes and the sharpest features I've ever seen .With quick glances and music playing loudly in my ears the man's image appears on my paper with each stroke of the pencil. The man finally caught me staring and is walking over to me as I add showing to my sketch.
"Young lady why are you staring at me so Intently", the older gentleman says as he eyes me from head to toe until he spots my sketch pad. "May I see?" He asks. I rip the drawing from my pad after signing it .
"You can have it sir" I reply. As he eyes the drawing he looks at me again as I gather my stuff to head back to work.
"Your very good lil lady , can you show me more?" He asks nicely. I hand him my sketch pad . As he flips through I see his face look more determined. He hands me back the book and adds his business card on top.
" How would you like to come work for me ? It just so happens I'm looking for a new in house designer for the company. What's your name?". I look down at the business card it reads:

DAVID HARPER CEO
I look up at him wide eyed . " My name is Aurora and are you serious ?" I ask.
"Why don't you stop by my office when your free and we can have a proper conversation. Just bring yourself and a resume ." He states.
I reply " I can stop by tomorrow before work if that's ok ? Around 8."
"It's a deal , I'll see your tomorrow young lady." He states as he shakes my hand . I turn around to head back to my healthcare job . My mind is reeling. Did I really just get scouted for a job? Is this a scam ? I need to research the company tonight. I get back to work to be fully swamped once again with patients. Can I really get out of this hell I'm in ? I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
