[Marsh POV]
"You know.. lets see the news" i say to marcus as i hop on the couch and nafumi sits beside me as i turn on the tv.
Marcus is sitting beside yuno which she seemed embarrassed but her look changed as she leaned over to his shoulder.
The news reporter talks about the usual accidents,forest fires and better was left for last. Nafumi was missing but we have her so i chuckled as i turn to nafumi "Uhh looks like they're looking for you"
Nafumi changed her look as she looked serious. "Behind the beauty of the city hides a very horrible search team or rather the entire safety team"
"Huh? You mean they treat you guys horribly?" I respond to nafumi.
"Ever since you arrived, they let you off the first time but the second time they would have executed you on the spot." Nafumi said as she looked horrified.
"You mean to tell me they work with other organazations?" I sounded stupid but nafumi mentioned delta and i could feel my vains popping out of my forehead. Steaming from rage and so did the others.
Apparently Delta gave some of their infantry a place to stay in devaria city remotely from any danger as also been known for horrible exercises towards it's people.
I cant fathom the horrors these people are dealing with but something in the back of my mind tells me they send the most horrendous people there.. for what? Delta as much as i hate them has incredibly good security so why the heck are they doing this? This is not cool. It's a classic delta move too. What else would i expect from them anyway.
We all head to sleep for another day.
Waking up peacefully is something i wanted for like a week.
My mind clearer than ever. Nafumi cuddling me while i was asleep was a sign. She's here to stay, and better yet she wants to stay by my side.
My phone started ringing as i answer it and it was runa. How did she get my number?
Who gave her my number? Did we forget agent lilly?
She kept things short as she mentioned she'll go to war against delta.
My eyes widened, a bot capable of claiming an entire country is going against a global threat? Delta didnt do anything but i guess the higher ups are aiming to take delta down for good.
Breach of contract? Maybe but who knows?
She hung up afterwards as i sigh heavily.
I get up and wake everyone for a meeting.
I kept it short and straight to the point about the mission.
Then nafumi turned to me and said "Delta will win. We cant go against them now, but something tells me we should at least aid them to dampen the damage."
"They should at least get a taste of their own medicine nafumi. Even if we lose, its a lesson. A tie is our best outcome" i say to nafumi as marcus slams his hand down on the table.
"We want to win and that's all we should think about now marsh. We cant let them get scott free." Marcus spoke up in anger aiming for the impossible.
Gunshots were heard far from here.. did they already initiate the warfare?
We look outside the window as an explosion happens in front of us. A huge shockwave blazing though the glass as we get sent flying across the living room.
I wake up as i see the others still passed out. I get up to see a man walking towards my place, i quickly summon a dagger and walk towards him.
"You... Will pay for the damages but your cost is your life!" I scream in rage dashing straight to him only for him to dodge.
"Easy there my little tiger.." his soft voice hit me like a truck as i turn to see who it is.
"Delta Will pay." He says as it turns out it's an old friend of mine.. out of nowhere???
"Jake?" I say to him.
"In the flesh." Jake responded as he collapsed since he was in the explosion as i quickly get to heal him.
"Dont die on me dude..." I said out loud frustrated as agent lilly and marcus go over to see jake slowly dying on me..or so i thought.
He got back up and patted me on the back.
"You never fail to save me, in every situation you were beside me.. thank you.."
Marcus in absolute confusion looks at me
"Who's this?!"
"Jake, an old friend of mine. Although whenever something horrible happens he rushes towards my location" i giggle softly as i take him to my place as i sigh, glass everywhere as nafumi and yuno just woke up.
Looking at jake in confusion as i explain them that he is an old friend of mine when we worked at delta.
They welcomed him as everyone gathered as we see from a distance an army of delta soldiers marching towards us.
"Killing spree is an understatement" jake said to us.
I nod as i point my finger at the army
"Erase." As they just get evaporated within the range of the blast. Opening wide like a sea being seperated apart.
Jake aims as well and shoots with his finger.
Taking down a few in the process.
Marcus joins in on the fun as he wipes out every soldier targeted at us.
