Twenty thousand years ago, the Celestial Sect ruled with unmatched might. It was the Overlord of half the universe, the supreme ruler of fifty-five Celestial Bodies, and the perpetrator of the Universal War—a war so devastating it destroyed nearly a hundred supreme forces.
Two thousand Gods, sixty-five thousand Saints, and half a trillion lives perished in the flames of that conflict.
And at its center stood the Celestial Sect.
When the war ended twenty thousand years ago, the sect lost its glory, its dominance, and its wealth—all because of betrayal.
Fifty-three of the fifty-five Celestial Bodies—beings far beyond even the realm of Gods—turned against the sect.
