Chapter 1 - Heaven And Hell

The roar of war filled the skies as the battlefield raged below. Hell was in chaos. The ground trembled under the weight of the war, as the dark forces of the underworld clashed with the pure, radiant warriors of Heaven. Demon and angel alike fell to the onslaught, their lives extinguished in an endless tide of violence. The angels, with their shining wings and holy might, had the upper hand in this battle, their numbers pushing the demonic forces back. But still, the demons fought fiercely, claws and swords slicing through divine flesh, determined to claw their way back into the fray.

Amidst the carnage stood Kikidori, his dark silhouette cutting through the smoke and fire that surrounded the battlefield. His red eyes glowed with an unyielding intensity, his black wings flared behind him like a shadow cast upon the flames. He wore the scars of many battles, his dark armor tarnished by the blood of both demon and angel alike. He was a warrior, a fighter, and a killer. The name Kikidori was feared across Hell, and for good reason.

The battle had been long and brutal, and it was clear that the angels were winning. But the demons—like Kikidori—were relentless. They fought with an intensity that only Hell could breed, their rage boiling beneath their skin as they sought revenge for every fallen comrade. Kikidori, with his blade drawn, hacked through the ranks of angels, his movements swift and graceful, despite the chaos around him.

His crimson eyes flicked toward the heavens. The battle was turning. The angels, with their perfect formations, pressed forward. It was only a matter of time before the demons were driven back into the deepest pits of Hell. But Kikidori was not one to retreat.

Suddenly, a figure caught his eye. She was standing there, amidst the flames and destruction, her white wings shining like a beacon. A lone angel, seemingly unaffected by the war around her. Her name was Haruna.

Kikidori's gaze narrowed. He had seen her before, but not like this. Her beauty, even in the midst of such carnage, was striking. Her long silver hair shimmered like moonlight, and her golden eyes glowed with a serenity that contrasted the madness of the battle. But there was something more to her—something different. A part of him hated her, hated the purity she embodied, yet he couldn't look away.

Without a second thought, he lunged at her, sword raised. She was just another angel, another target in this endless war.

But as his sword came down, something within him hesitated.

He studied her face as she stood there, unmoving. The expression on her face was not one of fear, but something else. Something he couldn't quite place. She didn't draw a weapon, didn't try to fight back. She simply... waited.

Kikidori's sword stopped inches from her throat. His heart raced. It was a strange feeling, a kind of unease he couldn't explain.

"Get out of here before I change my mind," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

Without a word, Haruna turned and fled, her wings spreading wide as she ascended into the air. Kikidori watched her go, his mind racing. He should have killed her. He should have ended her life right there. But he didn't.

The silence of the moment was broken only by the sounds of the ongoing battle. Kikidori stood there, his sword still drawn, watching as Haruna disappeared into the sky. His heart pounded, but it wasn't from the fight.

What had just happened? Why hadn't he killed her?

A dark figure appeared before him. It was one of his fellow demons, a towering beast with sharp fangs and a menacing grin.

"She's gone, Kikidori. The battle's not over, though. Don't let that angel get in your head."

Kikidori didn't respond. His thoughts were elsewhere, lingering on the angel's face and the strange moment they had shared.

He knew the war wasn't over. But something had shifted. Something in him had changed.
