Chapter 20 - [20] Yuhara the Great Prophet!

When the sword technique Dancing Waterfowl appeared on Yuhara's selectable skill panel, it genuinely caught him off guard.

The moment he saw it, a memory flashed vividly in his mind: him gripping a game controller, eyes glued to the screen where a woman in a golden helmet, flowing red hair, and a crimson cape moved with unmatched grace. With her prosthetic blade, she danced through the air—and left his character in a pool of blood, Runes scattered everywhere.

That woman had haunted him for a long time.

Her beauty, elegance, and lethal skill had been burned into his memory—and not in a good way. It was enough to make him want to smash his controller.

Eventually, he'd resorted to using a cheat tool just to take her down. Even then, she healed herself while fighting. It was ridiculous.

In his mind, she became a valkyrie. The ultimate warrior woman. A legend.

And now her sword style was right in front of him—with the added bonus of wind-element chakra?

No way he was letting that pass.

"Soon, the ninja world will know the pain of a thousand groin strikes," Yuhara muttered with a smirk.

But a sword style like that needed a proper sword. That brought his eyes back to the two ninja blades left behind by the now-dead Raiga.

Those swords weren't ordinary—they could absorb chakra and even serve as conduits for certain jutsu. No way was he going to let them go to waste. They were war spoils, after all.

The next morning, Yuhara and Shisui took the blades and double-checked to make sure Raiga's body had truly turned to ash before heading back to the village.

Shisui didn't fully understand Yuhara's obsession with the blades. Maybe he had a thing for the special swords used by Kirigakure? Whatever. It wasn't worth arguing about. Technically, they were Yuhara's loot.

And besides, Shisui had bigger things on his mind—mainly, everything Yuhara had said the night before.

That night, after finding a secluded place to camp, Shisui had come clean. He told Yuhara the truth: he had already awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Yuhara had been ecstatic. Even more so when Shisui openly shared the ability of his Mangekyō. That alone proved Shisui was fully on his side now.

But Yuhara needed to confirm a few details—specifically, who else knew about Shisui's eyes and abilities?

Because Shisui's Mangekyō was incredibly dangerous.

Just like in the original timeline, Shisui's ability was Kotoamatsukami—an illusion that could rewrite a person's will without them ever realizing it.

A technique like that would terrify anyone. Especially when it was in the hands of someone they didn't fully trust.

"Only the clan head, a few elders, and the Third Hokage know I've awakened my Mangekyō," Shisui said truthfully. "But I've never told anyone what my ability actually is."

"Good," Yuhara nodded. That was a relief. "You must never tell anyone about your Mangekyō's ability. Understand?"

His expression turned deadly serious, and it pulled a rare moment of gravity from Shisui as well.

"You know what will happen if the clan finds out what your eye can do, right?"

Shisui paused, unsure.

"The dumb ones will try to use you to brainwash the other faction," Yuhara continued. "The smart ones? They'll want you to control the Hokage."

Shisui's eyes widened.

"I'm guessing neither of those is something you'd be okay with?"

"Definitely not," Shisui said firmly. "No matter what, I won't use my power that way."

"Good. Because telling the village would be even worse—it might get you killed."

Yuhara couldn't help but think of how things had gone in the original timeline: Shisui revealed his ability to Hiruzen… and not long after, Danzo tried to steal his eye.

Which made him wonder—was it really just Danzo's idea? Or did Hiruzen secretly give the nod?

"Killed? That seems a bit—" Shisui began.

"You're an Uchiha," Yuhara cut him off sharply. "Don't forget that."

He leaned in, his voice quiet but full of intensity.

"The village has never trusted us. That's in their bones. Even if they say they trust you, the moment they learn what your eye can really do, they'll start wondering… could you use it on them?"

Shisui said nothing. He had never thought of it like that before.

"Suspicion is a dangerous seed," Yuhara continued. "Once it's planted, it doesn't go away—it grows. And it doesn't matter what you say, because they'll never feel safe until that eye is in their hands."

He let that hang in the air.

"Now imagine this: the clan's internal conflict hits a boiling point. You step up and offer to use your eye to resolve it—convince everyone to follow your path. You think the village would be grateful? No. They'd see it as you taking control of the clan. They'd panic."

Yuhara's voice dropped even lower.

"They'd come after you. They'd kill you. And when that happens…"

Shisui's eyes widened in fear.

"…your death would be the spark that sets everything ablaze," Yuhara finished.

"You're the clan's prodigy. Their hope. Your death would enrage them—and then the hardliners would take over. They've always wanted to fight the village. A coup would become inevitable.

And the village? They'd finally have the excuse they've been waiting for to crush the Uchiha once and for all."

Yuhara didn't need to say what came next. Shisui could see it in his mind:

Massacre.

His heart was pounding. Cold sweat poured down his face.

For a long time, he said nothing. Then, in a soft, trembling voice:

"In the end… the clan would be destroyed."
