"There must be a reason we got these status windows.." Mathis said to Theeven in a curious tone.
Words appear on Mathis's status window again "you are right, it isn't without reason. 'Our' goal is to make you and the other choosen members strong enough to defend this place where 'they' will arrive."
Mathis's expression seems to change to curiosity
"And who are 'they'?" Mathis asked
The status window didn't answer and just went back to the normal stat window before a quest pops up on both Mathis and Theeven's status windows.
Quest - Prove your worth.
Requirement: defeat 'it'.
Difficulty: 7/10 (for your level.)
Time limit: 7 days.
Penalty for failure: Death or removal of the status window.
Rewards: 1 random skill(D-A grade skills avalible), normal grade weapon of your choice, 1000EXP, and shop unlock.
As Mathis and Theeven finish reading, their expression shifting from curiosity to fear mixed with a tinge of worry.
"There must be a way to level up before having to fight that so called 'it', no?" Mathis asked The status window.
A tab appears on the status window "would you like to begin tutorial?" And beneath it was 'Accept or Decline' without any instructions.
"Should we go, Theeven?" Mathis asked his companion.
"Yes.. why not."
Mathis presses the accept button as they both suddenly black out before waking up in a completely white area, It seemed to be endlessly large.
Both of their status windows show up infront of them as it says:
Tutorial quest: survival.
Requirement: survive until time limit ends.
Difficulty: 4/10(for your level)
Time limit: 4 hours.
Penalty for failure: Death.
Reward: random skill(D-B grade skill), and 400EXP.
As Mathis and Theeven finish reading they are given a long sword each as people in medieval armor slowly approach them.
"They sure don't seem to be here to make friends." Mathis said to Theeven.
"Seems we can either dodge them for four hours or take them on." Theeven responded.
"We can't run, more and more will appear from what I see and we will eventually be overwhelmed, So we can fight to kill, stall or incapacitate them." Mathis said to Theeven, as he was starting to look abit more intimidated at the sight before them and the penalty for failing.
Mathis takes afew cautious steps towards the armored men as they swing their swords at Mathis, He manages to dodge although just barely as he steps back.
"I'd say our stats go ontop our original capabilities, so training normally will also make us stronger." Mathis said.
"Got it." Theeven responds to Mathis, while looking abit nervous aswell.
"I don't want to die a meaningless death.. not like this.." mathis thought to himself as he gripped his sword tighter.
"If I die, there will be nobody to remember my suffering!!" He thought to himself.
