Chapter 5 - Eastsea Academy

I went to the Eastsea Academy to register myself. It was easy. One just needed to be a Soul master and had a certificate to prove that he had passed the Elementary Academy. Red mountain academy provided me that certificate after I graduated from there.

I failed on my second year on purpose so that I can have the qualifications to join the Eastsea Academy when I graduated from the Red Mountain Academy. If I graduated without the soul master level, then I guarantee that I would not have been able to attend the Eastsea Academy until I have some big talents or I was a Soul Grandmaster.

If I didn't then with my poor talent and proclaimed trash martial Soul, I had to go to some random Academy as Elementary and Intermediate Education is compulsory to all. What a law.

Wulin and his gang had already spread their name in the past year. The class Zero was something that every second year was bragging about.

The school even had printed a poster of them and their fights from the Soul division individual and group competitions from the Skysea Alliance tournament.

That must have been the reason why in the story, Class Zero disappeared from the eyes of people after this tournament. The novel didn't do them justice. The school become rich for many wealthy businessmen and rich aristocrats were sending their sons along with huge donations to the school.

Those guys must be in the Spirit Ascension plane/ platform preparing for the final test that Wu Zhong something, their teacher, gave them.

I had came to the Eastsea City earlier than the reporting time. Classes will start 10 days later. Fortunately the dorms have enough rooms.

The unfortunate thing is that I am in the class 5 the trash one. Even if I was a Soul Master when I graduated the amount I took to become one was one year more than others.

How do they know? It was written in the school certificate, my Soul Master license and on my Spirit Pagoda's form which I used to apply for my Spirit Soul. They could have used any of them.

So I was in class 5 of year one. There was still time for the classes to start. A lot of time. Time enough that I can do a lot of work. And I didn't lack money this time around.

*Ten days later*

The Eastsea Academy's bus was exceptionally wide and could hold fifty people. There were already some on the bus. Some of them were his peers, while the others were adults. These were clearly parents who had come to accompany their children to report.

The bus was already full. Everyone else was accompanied by their parents, leaving him the only one who was sitting alone.

He watched as the scenery outside of the window changed to stores that lined the streets. The bus was travelling amongst an endless stream of vehicles. Urgency and the scent of steel permeated the atmosphere. Everyone on the streets were bustling about. At the very least, it was countless times busier than the streets of Glorybound City.

A lofty building slid into view after the 20 minute long bus ride. In front of them was a high wall.

The wall in front of them was precisely a part of Eastsea Academy. Not too far off were the large stone academy gates which gave off an imposing feeling.

Eastsea Academy was a large academy which was actually comprised of both an intermediate academy and an advanced academy.

The intermediate academy still fell under a compulsory education, so it didn't require any tuition fees. Eastsea Academy was a Soul Master academy and the intermediate academy took up two thirds of the total area. On the other hand, the advanced academy, which only took up one third of the area, was still the most important part of the academy.

As long as one was a Soul Master and resided within the greater area of Eastsea City, or had a recommendation letter, one would be able to enter the intermediate academy and receive a Soul Master's education. They would study at the intermediate academy for six years. After graduating, students would then be able to take the entrance exam to enter an advanced Soul Master academy, but no more than a tenth of the applicants pass.

Advanced academies weren't part of the compulsory education, so a series of rigorous exams would be used to test the applicants. Anyone who was accepted into an advanced academy would definitely be considered an elite.

Now that the introductions over. I feel a weight of my chest. It was the baggage.

I did have a Soul storage Guide but I don't want to attract any unwanted attention. Less than two weeks ad passed since the Glorybound City massacre and if, by any chance that I unfortunately left any clues that could get them to me, then my spending would make their suspicion to be a reality.

More than 15 innocent Criminals have already been suspected, caught and dealt with. The Officer announced it as a group plan done by a mysterious gang. And I didn't want to become a part of his 'mysterious gang'.

For the past ten days I was testing my earlier Half Energy body theory... Not mine but my friend's. And I got positive results for my tests. I eat more than 4 kg of food while using the Soul skill. It's not a passive one but an active skill.

Results failure. I vomited after my 3rd kg. But the positive result was test 5. I ate just how much I normally ate for one single time. Even after a whole three days, I didn't felt any urge to shit. I stead I was hungry in my second day. The food was completely digested. And the best result and also the one that I anticipated the most, it increased my Soul Power.

The increase was minimal. If I didn't notice then I wouldn't even know about the increase. It was low but there was an increase. I gave me hope.

Humans are able to digest 90% of their food. The remaining 10% is flushed out. My soul skill increases the digestion by 40%, meaning if my initial digestion is 80% then my digestion would increase by 32% total 112% of digestion. Twelve % more. This extra % should be the the increase in digestion speed or it could be the energy that increased.

I think that it was both. But the problem still remains , the energy provided by Vegetables are just that much. I needed to find more nutritious food. It was also one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Eastsea Academy. The food they provide is far cheaper than outside and the second being the availability.

Even when I had money, I still won't brag that my resources would be more than them. Some ingredients are only allowed to be supplied to schools. Even if you are rich, you can't buy them.

And this wasn't the only things I found out. My Blue Silver Grass contains poison and its elasticity and maneuverability has also become faster. But I still don't have the poison vine skill.

I thought I had the skill and it was just not showing but I was wrong. I saw someone use his skill and when using skills your Spirit Ring glows and the skill effect is shown. Mine didn't. So I went to the school library and to check about this.

I found out that my Blue Silver Grass being poisonous or more tough or stretchy is the affect of the Spirit rings. The library also had many skill related videos: like how to use skills effectively, efficiently etc.

I watched many videos and all of them were enlightening. I was still a rookie in soul master battles even though I know how to kill and hand to hand combat.

After watching the videos and reading books I remembered that Tang San's Blue Silver Grass also became stronger after he fused with the Mandala snake. I never payed attention to the previous prequels storylines after knowing that it's the third part of the Douluo Dalu series. Need to pay attention to them also.
