Chapter 50 - Unknown Elemental Smith

Chapter 50: Unknown Elemental Smith

The blacksmith office was in sight. A huge building stretching over 5 kilometres in width, more than 5 kilometres in length and over 1 kilometre in height. A gigantic door was in the entrance with the insignia of the federation blacksmith association, which was a complex Rune as the background of the logo and two hammers crossing each other. The hammers are double faced with a hammer and chisel head. Then on the very top of the building, the logo was seen again but something was written beneath it; "Jade Smiths"

Clinton reached the entrance and was stopped by the guards at the entrance.

"Your identity card please?"

Clinton in his hooded figure brought out his ID card.

"Place it in that Rune socket."

The rune socket was a space the size of the ID cards, with complex and intricate runes around it. The ID card with Clinton had silver background with a crest that looked like an adventurer, and a letter was seen below the crest"D" meaning he was a D rank adventurer.

Ranks of adventurers were;

F, E, D, C, B, B+, A, A+, S, SSS.

So Clinton's rank was low. But the guards did not know as they are not to check it.

As Clinton drop the card in the rune socket, it lit up, and Clinton's adventure rank was shown while his name was not shown.

"You can go in." One of the guards said. They were not bothered by Clinton wearing a long robe with hood that covers his face. He was not the first to wear such here.

Clinton retracted his card and went in. A female attendant was behind a large counter some metres from the door entrance. Clinton could see some people there. "That should be the clerk, I think I should meet her first." Clinton walked over and waited till she attended to the customers before he approached her.

"Good afternoon, how may we help you?" The clerk said sweetly.

"I have come to register under the Jade Smiths." Clinton replied.

"Hmm, are you a blacksmith?" The clerk asked.

"Yes."

"What rank?" The clerk asked again.

"Elemental Smith." Clinton replied indifferently.

"What!" The clerk gulped. "Are you sure? It's a grave crime if found out you are lying."

"I am not lying. Bring a metal ore, let me forge now."

"Okay take this pass and shove it into a little socket there, the door will open. That's the trial room." She handed over a pass with a green hammer on it and pointed to the first compartment before them.

"Before that, your name." The clerk stopped Clinton from moving.

"Zhizun Zhu Wang."

The clerk collected the card she gave Clinton and wrote something on it. "Take, you are good to go."

Clinton did as told and went inside the compartment.

Sir a hooded man enter the trial room just now. He claims to be an elemental smith, but we've never hear of him before.... His name is Zhizun Zhu Wang... Okay sir." The clerk dropped the little rune stone she used to call the person she was talking to.

As Clinton was still wandering what to do next because he could see some people hammering away, and some trying to use their captured flame. The room was heated but pleasant to blacksmiths. Each person was assigned each forging table as there were over 200 tables their.

"I will oversee your assessment." A voice startled Clinton as he looked to his left, behold a man in pure long white robe and green at the helm of the robe. The Jade Smiths insignia was at the back of the robe. The man had a bonded white hair and eyebrows. A little insignia of a lightning was on the chest part of the robe, signifying he was an elemental smith.

"Okay." Clinton replied bluntly.

The duo walked towards a table far from the others working. A button with runes around it was at the edge of the table. The elemental smith pressed it and 2 metre barrier covered them.

"My name is Di Yizu. Since you claim to be an elemental smith, that means you will need a quiet place. That's where this barrier comes in. You would be given a metal and you will element forge it. Your forge-success rate is a big determinant, you need to know." Di Yizu said as he pressed the button to turn off the barrier and he stretched his hand towards the metal shelf and a metal flew to his hand, then he dropped it on the table. "Forge that, and good luck." With that, the man left.

Clinton turned on the barrier again and he looked at the metal and smiled.

"What! He is smiling? Why is he smiling?" Di Yizu was startled.

The man beside him had to comment too. "That's a Dragonmark steel. One of the hardest rare metal to forge. It can even be on par with some mythical metals."

The main reason Clinton was smiling was because it was a Dragonmark steel.
