Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: GodFinger: Mechanical Bellingham System

Reborn as the Bellingham Heir — Chapter 49: GodFinger: Mechanical Bellingham System!!

April 16th, 9:05 AM — Tony's Room, Bellingham Mansion, Liverpool.

(Another day, another dawn)

The sun shone bright—brighter than it usually did. It was the start of a new week, but the unexpected father-and-son bonding that happened just two days ago still played endlessly in Tony (Kai's) mind.

Hinata.....Hinata was Cristanio's wife!

(Damn!!! that was an honest surprise)

So… Hinata is… well… was a Bellingham?

Where did she go?

Cristanio had refused to tell him anything, only offering only one simple, yet alarming sentence:

"When the time is right."

When was the time gonna be right? I really hate suspense!

Usually by now, our 21-year-old Tony would've been at work, well... still trying to adapt to the whole Bellingham lifestyle, but today was a resting day for the Bellingham workers—and of course, the heir.

He went into the bathroom, hoping to clear his mind with cold water… but it didn't work.

(Shower time for the heir)

The moment he poured it on himself, he jumped.

"Damn! It's freaking cold!"

(Huh?? Did you expect it to be warm?)

He came out dressed in a casual white top and black baggy jeans. His crimson red eyes added an entirely different drip to the outfit—with or without his hair.

(Nah! I would prefer it with the hair! Silver is the new Gold)

He quickly headed to the living room, asking one of the maids for coffee—extra milk, extra sugar, just the way… Kai liked it.

"Hey! Good morning!" came a magical voice from the staircase.

He looked up to see who it was…

And it turned out to be—

Clara!

(Clara lives with the Bellinghams. This has already been established!)

She was as beautiful as ever. Looking back, Mai and Alina had their strong suits—Alina being the cute one and Mai being the pretty one—but Clara? Clara was just one in a million, no, one in a billion. Her long black nightgown matched her flowing blonde hair. The golden-colored living room just made everything better. A perfect fit for a queen.

Clara: "What are you looking at? And why are you grinning?"

Tony: "Oh! It's nothing. Definitely not admiring your beauty."

Those words stabbed her heart a bit. And just for a moment… she blushed.

That was definitely a side of Clara, Tony had rarely seen—this was a first.

Clara: "Kai… quit it, would you?"

Tony: "Sure, sure! And it's Tony. Just don't rat me out because you're angry! Oh… and yeah… you have nice…"

Clara: "Nice what?!"

Her eagerness to hear whatever Tony was about to say was like that of an excited child.

Tony: "Nic… e…"

Lisa: "You have a nice front yard, Miss Rollins!"

(Thanks Lisa!!)

Lisa—the head maid (introduced earlier in The Headlines Bleed Red and Truth or Dare Edition)—stepped in with perfect timing.

Clara: "Um… thanks. I guess. Um, Tony—?"

But before she could finish, Tony quickly took the placed toasted bread on the table and dashed upstairs to avoid explaining anything.

He didn't get the coffee he asked for—but he got Clara to blush and a sandwich

(He won either way)

That alone was something worth cherishing.

12:00 PM

The day went by quickly at the Bellingham mansion.

Tony didn't have any plans, and because of that, he just stayed home.

"Damn! I'm so bored!"

Before long, the handle on his wardrobe caught his attention. He stood up, opened it, and pulled out the only black box inside.

While searching through it, he came across a familiar picture—the one of Cristanio, Hinata, and Matteo.

The first thought that crossed his mind:

"Déjà vu, huh?"

He dug deeper, discovering things the real Tony had—old socks, some antique gold watches, more photos of Tony as a kid, and ones from his teenage years.

"Wow. Tony had a wonderful life.

Maybe that's why some people hated him… they were jealous."

As he carried the box back to put it away, a smaller black case fell out.

It was rectangular, the kind that usually holds a ring.

There was a timer on top—currently locked.

Suddenly, it began ticking.

"The hell?! Why is it ticking?"

"Oh shit! Is it gonna blow?!"

Out of impulse, he threw the box across the room and bolted for the door.

"It's… it's gonna blow—"

Or so he thought.

The only sound that followed was a calm voice:

"100 days countdown… successful."

Huh???

(Ha ha ha! He actually jumped!!!)

He opened the door slowly, approached the area where he'd thrown the box, picked it up, and opened it.

The inside was velvet red.

(Woah!!!)

A round, blue ring sat perfectly in the center.

Next to it… was a letter.

"What… what the hell is this?"
