Before we knew hat had happened he was holding Beast boy by his neck and before he could shapeshift. Mark snap his neck. Robin rallied everyone between helping those hurt or trapped under rumble while the heavy hitters would subdue Mark,
Things went left so quick Me superboy, Wonder girl(Donna Troy) and aqualads (Jackson Hyde/ Kaldur) and (Garth), (Yes it was confusing for a long time with both of them being called that).
We would try to stop and subdue Mark and figure out why he was attacking us. I knew from the beginning that this version of Mark made his choice and would not hold back while everyone else would. He wouldn't.
I noticed for a while now ever since Mark got his powers he was acting different more cold and distant like he was better than everyone. to the point he stopped coming to titans tower after he got into a fight with super boy and wonder girl and beat them both but took a few bruises himself.
Mark would blitz to me grabbing me and pulling me into the air in the blink of a eye before anyone could do anything. "What's gonna be", he said "the empire and your people or these pathetic insects." I said "how hard did your dad had to beat you in order for you to say that about your own people."
He never laid a hand on me unlike your father mine knows his mission and has stayed true to it and I will take after his example. Mark will punch me to sending me flying into the ocean luckily my barrier took majority of the damage but it still knocked the wind out of me.
When I recovered my barring's I flew as fast as I could to the tower getting their watching him punch conner away and slamming wonder girl into the ground and before I knew it crush speed's head. I screamed 'nooo" and came flying in with a speed breaking the sound barrier and punched Mark in the face so hard the shock waves destroyed the towers reinforced windows.
Mark took a step back then look back at me wiping blood from his mouth, and showing a smirk on his face. Saying "maybe you have potential after all and don't worry I'll only beat you to an inch of your life so you can be reeducated by my father later". Mark got into a stance threw a flurry of punches each stronger then the last I decided to do the same in kind each punch sent echoes through the island.
I started to feel the punches less and less thanks to my barrier then mark decided to change the pace and flew back into the recked tower I chased after. but it was a trap he grabbed my neck from behind in the rubble smoke.
Then he gave me the same treatment his dad and conquest gave him in the show. He proceeded to rush me through multiple floors as i see flashes of people then red over and over again until we were under the tower in the deep subbasement made for emergencies.
Then while I was dissociated from what just happen he punch me so hard I was launched through the man made hole back to the surface just inches away from where we were fighting. I was puking while trying to catch my breath and wipe the blood from my face and looking at my hands just to see another horror.
The Justice League watch tower falling from the sky while on fire miles out just enough that it would hit somewhere in the middle of the ocean. Mark comes out floating behind me with his arms crossed. "Looks like dad knocked down one of their satellites.
Then I heard more shock waves in the distance and when I focused my eyes my jaw dropped. It was Omni man and superman clashing in the sky both looked tired and bru with other league members flying their ways to stop Omni man.
Mark then said Looks like my dad is finishing up his side of the work but I don't see your parents anywhere I guess he probably took care of them. shame your mom was hot but their are more Amazon where she came from. Hearing the that broke that last straw in me and I felt like I heard something snap. Next thing I know I stood up scream at the top of my lungs waking up Conner and Donna.
The I threw a punch at mark he tried to dodge but disappeared then reappeared behind him mid swing slamming him into the ground and I kept going to the point where I was throwing punch after punch. Mark managing to stand up and try to hit me back but when our fist collided. Only his hand shattered. He would step back in pain the meet a fist to his face hard enough to draw blood and destroy his eye protection.
He murdered Titans. Tore through the Tower. I watched Argent and Beast Boy die. Conner Kent and I stood our ground. Raven and Kid Flash flanked us. Robin rallied survivors.
It was war.
We finally brought Mark down. Broken. Bloody.
Then came my reward.
Black Canary's scream.
Martian Manhunter's psychic blast.
Darkness.
And then... I woke up.
Breath caught in my throat. Chest heaving. Sheets soaked in sweat.
"Still haunted," I whispered.
