Chapter 4 - Visions

Bella

As I waited in anticipation, vivid visions danced before my eyes. I found myself being swept away in a grand ballroom, embraced tightly by a mysterious figure. His whispered jokes tickled my ear, causing laughter to envelop us in pure joy. In his arms, I felt a sense of peace and belonging that I had never experienced before.

As the laughter subsided, I gazed into his piercing gray eyes, feeling a strange sense of familiarity wash over me. His hair, a luxurious blend of soft black with hints of auburn, framed his relaxed jawline and loving smile. I was captivated by his presence, never wanting to look away.

With a tender murmur of my name, he drew me in for a passionate kiss. I melted into his embrace, eagerly returning his affection. His touch sent shivers of desire through my body as we became lost in each other. When we finally parted, breathless and exhilarated, his laughter filled the air as he twirled me around the dance floor.

I squealed with delight, clinging to him as he spun us in a whirlwind of emotion and desire. In that moment, I knew that I had found something truly special in his arms.

As he gently placed me back on the floor, his lips brushed mine once more before he intertwined our hands and led me towards a grand stage adorned with opulent thrones. The thrones, embellished with gold and jewels, stood out in stark contrast to the one I had seen in Edward's castle.

Seated in the throne furthest to the right, he bowed over my hand, planting a kiss on the back of it. "I will return shortly, my queen," he whispered before striding towards the tables laden with a feast fit for royalty.

As I admired my wedding band, an elderly man approached me, addressing me as "Sire." But before I could respond, he silenced me with a hiss. "It's King Liam to you! You are not worthy of that throne or of addressing me. Get up!"

Shocked and confused, I stammered, "W-what?" This was meant to be my coronation ball, the day I would be crowned and sit beside the man I loved. I was supposed to transition from a servant to a ruler of the Court.

"I demanded, 'Get up!' He snarled and reached out to grab my hair, dragging me off the throne and throwing me down the stairs. My father-in-law, the king, rushed down the stairs and kicked me hard in the stomach.

I cried out, wrapping my arm protectively around my stomach. "STOP! I'M PREGNANT!"

His smirk widened as he peered down at me, drawing his leg back again. "I know, and that child you're trying to pass off as my grandchild will never see the light of day!"

"Father! STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" My dance partner yelled as he rushed towards us, only to be held back by half a dozen guards.

The King laughed maniacally as he pulled out an ornate dagger. I gasped in terror as I tried to scramble backward, slipping and sliding on the slick floor. "P-please. It's his. I swear! There has never been anyone else. Please. Spare me. I'll leave! You'll never see me again! Please,' I begged."

"Ara! Ara, you aren't going anywhere. You are mine! FATHER, STOP! DON'T DO THIS! She is already my wife! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" My partner screamed as he tried to break free from the guards who were restraining him.

Liam smirked sinisterly down at me before raising the dagger. I turned my head to meet my partner's eyes as the King swung the blade down. "I love you, Edward. I will never say goodbye," I whispered as the blade started to slice through my neck.
