Chapter 6 - Provocation

"The Jk hospital has been shut down today. The higher Authorities has declared it to be closed and it won't function for the next decade to come.

Early today, records of their illegal activities were exposed by an anonymous person. Records of them also talking to a victim's family, exposing how the patients are being treated, were exposed at 12 AM this morning."

The news report ran in the living room.

Solomon took a sip of his water, his eyes indifferently glancing at the news report.

[Hidden mission complete!

The host, being vengeful enough, went behind the doctor's back and posted the record, even after his niece was treated.

Reward: 200K. Laura's treatment fee has been returned to you as cashback.]

Solomon said no words to the system.

Every second that they wasted before treating Laura had been paid to them.

The moment it gave the doctors and nurses would sustain them for some time, as they are jobless now. A smirk appeared on his face.

"The doctor and nurse in question have been arrested for being the most shady among all medical workers, sentenced for a decade."

The news continued, and a laugh finally escaped from Solomon's lips.

The system felt a shiver down its spine….

"Host, you have finally unlocked the new businessman.

You can now start investing your money, making more.

Money is power; the system will not always be here for you. You need your own empire."

"I need to go to school."

Solomon gulped the last bit of his water, not answering the system.

Solomon's footsteps echoed as he entered the class. What caught his eyes were posters of his face all over the class.

Solomon raised a brow, looking at this.

The system was rattled by its shadow and chose to explain.

"Host, for some reason, the school is noticing you for your handsome, wealthy, and rich D-class student status. It's like you are a god to them. They really admire you. And you're smart too.

Host, your aura is on another level."

"It's trouble," Solomon spat, walking away from the hall like he wasn't the one the students were talking about.

"Why are you so nonchalant, host?"

The system continued its chatter.

Solomon ignored the system that was being noisy. What would he want with a peaceful conversation with a devil?

Solomon walked into the class. All the students were in their seats, and their gazes were on him. Solomon didn't flinch.

"Look who's here, the new school cool guy."

Marcus, the guy who always caused trouble for Solomon, said the moment he entered. He was the top bully in the school, usually bullying Solomon and others because of his class and lack of money.

Solomon looked at Marcus. He said no words to him. He had nothing to say to Marcus because he was only here to study. The guy was eventually going to be quiet.

he had always believed that silence was the best way to a non violent life, no trouble would come his way. But him being quiet would only bring more trouble to him…

"I'm talking to you, and you're keeping quiet! Who the hell do you think you are? What do you take yourself for? I'm talking to you! Do you know who my family is?"

Marcus gritted his teeth, seeing the way Solomon was not answering him.

"What do you want from me? I'm just here to study. I don't have time for you."

Exclamations came from the class after Solomon spoke. They didn't expect such dominance from him. It caught them by surprise. They never imagined that he would be so cool and stand up for himself. No one had ever talked to Marcus like that, although this person was just a college student. Because Marcus was crueler than a devil, he caused chaos in the school.

"Today is PE. I'm going to break down the little reputation you've built in this school. Are you ready to face me? Don't be a pup."

Marcus laughed menacingly, spitting on Solomon's shoes.

Solomon's eyes followed the saliva on his shoes.

His lip twitched a little, and he raised his head to look at Marcus.

"Challenge accepted." The moment those words were released from his lips, the system notification rang:

[New mission!!!

High risk

You are challenging the mob, Son. You might get killed.

Mission: Accept whatever challenge Marcus is going to offer you during PE.

> Come out strong, don't let anyone laugh at you.

Consequences for failure: Left kidney fading, instant death.]

"Oh," Solomon reacted, crossing his arms.

"See you, Marcus."

The system was ignored. Solomon went to his seat and sat down.

Immediately, the students started gossiping, and their phones were ringing with different sounds…

In the gossip group:

"Solomon challenged the mob's son."

Class was over. As soon as he heard the bell, he grabbed his bag and went to the PE room to change for the upcoming sports session, not forgetting what Marcus had said.

Solomon carried his bag and came out of the locker room, heading to the PE area.

...

It looked like a normal day of PE as usual, even the sports activities were differentiated by class.

The students were chatting with their peers. Solomon turned to look for his spot.

As usual, he located his own place.

After spotting his place, Marcus arrived,

glaring at him.

Solomon stood still; they ended in a deep stare, like battling with their eyes.

Marcus clenched his fist.

Damn it, why does this D-class person feel superior?

But his plans weren't going to be ruined or stopped because of some little intimidation.

"You are not so much of a coward,"

Marcus sneered, looking at Solomon like some filth.

Silence. No response came from Solomon. The veins in Marcus' forehead bulged.

How dare he ignore him? Is he planning to embarrass him in front of the whole students?

"You accept my challenge to football?"

"Sorry, I don't play football," Solomon stated with no shift of tone in his voice. He said it like the most simple thing in the world today.

The girls present in PE watching the drama all gasped.

"First time, a boy that can't play football?"

Actually, the benefit of football was left only to the higher class. It was only a few times lower class were allowed to play, so Solomon didn't have much interest in football.

Although he was a good player, he said it to spite Marcus.

Marcus lunged at Solomon to give him a punch.

Solomon dodged it swiftly.

He ended up going in another direction, almost hitting someone else, until the girl fled and fell on Solomon.

Solomon easily caught her.

His eyes easily met with the green ones—a girl hidden behind huge specs.

Solomon observed this before letting go of the girl, his attention instantly shifting away from her like she was a side character in some drama.

"Marcus, sorry I'm sick. I can't play with you today."

Solomon braced himself and wanted to walk away from the spot, but the PE tutor called him.

"What gives you the right to leave this place?"

"Who do you think you are?" Solomon turned and faced the teacher. Hearing his fierce attitude, he seemed to be an accomplice of Marcus.

"I'm sick, teacher. Can't a student have a way to go and rest?"

"No."

Solomon put his hand in his pocket and brought it out.

"Here—$10,000. Let me rest."

The money splashed into the teacher's hand.

If it was just bribery that the student Marcus had used, he could do the same.

The teacher's hand shook with the amount of money in his hand.

This much money—he gulped his spit, not wanting to count the money in front of the students.

He quietly watched Solomon walking out of the place

with his hand in his pocket.

"System, my left kidney is safe, right?" he asked the system, his voice not carrying any sensible emotions inside.

"Yes, host," the system stammered.

Solomon's lips twitched.

[Mission complete!

$20,000 reward fee received.]

"Stop there, student Solomon!"
