They both looked at each other. After he saw her, he stunned for a moment before looked away from her and walked towards the old man and greeted him with "Grandfather".
The Old man acknowledged him and introduced him to Lily. "Lily girl, this is my eldest grandson Elisha Allen," he said, and turning to his grandson and introducing her "Eli, She and her family saved me today. She's Lily Cela".
Lily didn't know why, but she felt like she met him before. She felt a sense of Dejavu.
Little did she know their lives are entangled to each other from on.
"Hello, Ms.Cela. Thank you for saving my Grandfather" Eli said, stretched out his hand for a shake.
"Hello, Mr.Allen. No mention. We just did what we could" Lily replied with a smile and shook his hand.
The old man, who was observing their conversation, was a little surprised and raised his eyebrows when he saw that his grandson had shaken hands with an unknown girl. Eli turned to his grandfather to ask about the details of his accident and left the room to inquire about his condition from the doctor.
After sometime Eli returned and noticed that his hard to approach Grandfather was now talking with the young lady in front of him and a secret smile flashed on Eli's lips which was unknown to them. He stood silently a few feet away from them with his hands in his pant pockets.
His grandfather gave him a look and continued talking to Lily.
Eli, who was standing behind Lily, kept his gaze on her from behind. Lily felt like someone was looking at her from behind but she didn't look back because she knew who was there.
Eli, observed her every move without a blink of an eye. He had an urge to hug her from behind and he wanted her to look at him and his inner voice called her 'Lily Cela'.
Lily, who was chatting with her new found grandfather felt as if someone called her name and paused her talk.
Eli, who was watching her every move of course noticed her pause.
"Lily girl, what's wrong?" Felix asked her.
"Nothing Grandfather" she said and blinked her eyes in confusion and asked "Grandfather, Did you hear someone calling me?"
Lily's question surprised Eli for a moment before returning to normal. Grandfather replied to her with a "No".
Eli wanted to test again, so he internally repeated her name slowly
'Lily Cela, Lily Cela, Lily ~'.
Before he could repeat her name in full for the third time,
Lily turned back to look at him with a "Ha~". Their eyes met and a small curve rose at the corner of Eli's lips.
'Yes, it's him' Lily thought internally.
Eli got his answer and turned to leave the room but a sweet voice questioned him. "Did you call me? Mr. Allen"
Eli stopped in his track and questioned back without turning to her with an unconcealed smile "Did you hear me call you ? Ms.Cela"
"No" Lily shook her head and replied.
"Grandfather, I'm just a call away from you" Eli informed and walked away.
Lily, who is in her thoughts turned to the old man and asked "Grandfather, don't you hear someone call me over again?"
Felix, who had been focusing on his grandson, noticed his grandson's smile from the periphery view before he left the room, and finally looked at Lily and replied. "But I didn't hear Lily girl. Perhaps you feel like someone is calling you"
Lily's eyes lit up at the old man's statement which brought her a clarity that she's felt but not really heard "Yes Grandfather, you're right. I didn't hear anyone calling me but I felt someone calling me." She replied and thought of the old man's grandson.
"Oh, how many times do you feel it?" Grandfather asked her.
"Hmm, too many times!! Why Grandfather?" Lily blinked her eyes.
