Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Fugaku Uchiha

Apparently, Nawaki's glances were just wasted.

Kawaki's eyes were almost glued to [her figure]. What a shallow man. He really envied his future kids; they'd surely enjoy a good life.

Reluctantly, he tore his eyes away and bid Tsunade farewell before leaving.

Recalling the banquet, he thought to himself, Tsunade really has an amazing figure!

He strolled home slowly, figuring that Aniki should have gone to the weapon workshop by now. Going back at this time, he'd probably just get a scolding.

Kawaki gave himself a mental pat on the back for his quick thinking.

With the looming war casting a shadow over the village, there were few people on the streets. Most were ninjas rushing by with serious expressions.

Kawaki passed by a secluded alley where even the sun couldn't reach.

Suddenly, he felt a sense of unease. He'd been tailed.

Since he'd crossed over to this world, he'd either been training or doing business. He was pretty sure he hadn't made any enemies. So, who could be following him?

"Show yourself," he said coldly, standing still and glaring menacingly into the shadows ahead.

"Heh, as expected of a genius from the Hatake Clan," a young ninja emerged from the shadows.

He had long, flowing hair and no forehead protector. He was dressed in the attire of a Konoha Jonin, and there was a clan emblem [use a more accurate description here] on his shoulder.

The visitor was from the Uchiha Clan.

"An Uchiha? What do you want with me?"

Kawaki frowned slightly. Could it be that his support for Tsunade had offended the Uchiha Clan?

No wonder they were wiped out; they had such a narrow - minded way of thinking.

"Is the Hatake Clan planning to side with the Senju?" the young man asked seriously and arrogantly, living up to the Uchiha reputation.

"Do I, Kawaki Hatake, need to report my friendships to you Uchihas?"

Kawaki was almost laughed out of his anger. The Uchihas really did meddle too much. The age - old feud was no joke; they still remained vigilant even after the Senju Clan had joined the village.

"It wouldn't matter if you befriended others. But befriending the Senju? That makes us suspicious," the young man said, approaching menacingly, clearly ready to attack at the slightest provocation.

"I, Kawaki Hatake, won't tolerate threats from anyone. I'll avoid you Uchihas if I'm in a good mood. But if not, I'll send you straight to hell. What can you do about it?"

Kawaki knew this situation wouldn't end well. This guy wasn't here to have a civilized conversation. And in Konoha, he wasn't afraid of anyone.

In a flash, his eight - sided Han sword appeared in his hand.

The Uchiha's eyes widened as his three - tomoe Sharingan instantly activated. He hadn't even seen how the sword had materialized.

"Three - tomoe Sharingan. You really think highly of me," Kawaki sneered, standing firm with his sword, fearless.

"What big talk. I'll teach you a lesson today and show you that not everyone can make friends casually," the young Uchiha said.

Kawaki felt like he'd just swallowed a fly. The Uchiha were too afraid to pick on Jiraiya and Orochimaru, so they thought they could bully him?

The young Uchiha's face darkened. No one had ever dared to talk to an Uchiha like this before.

He took out a kunai from his ninja tool pouch and threw it at Kawaki.

Then he quickly formed hand seals.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu"

Kawaki Hatake didn't want to withstand a Jonin's ninjutsu head - on.

He lifted his sword to knock away the kunai and dodged aside.

Unexpectedly, the kunai turned around and shot at him again.

The Uchiha's kunai jutsu was truly tricky.

"Lightning Release, Palm Thunder," Kawaki Hatake shouted.

He held his palm outwards, and a bolt of lightning shot out, shattering the kunai.

"What a peculiar jutsu. It doesn't even require hand seals," an Uchiha member exclaimed, watching as Kawaki Hatake charged towards him.

"Before these eyes, all your efforts are in vain," he said confidently.

His words were full of self - confidence.

As soon as he spoke, the figure in his sight vanished and he was sent flying the next moment.

He crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

"How is it possible? Is he that fast?"

Blood trickled from the Uchiha's mouth, his face full of surprise.

He covered his injured abdomen and crouched on the ground, clearly wounded.

Kawaki Hatake had shown mercy. Otherwise, if he had used his sword, this Uchiha might not have seen the next day.

"Is this all you've got and you dare to tail me?"

"Come find me when your eyes get stronger," Kawaki Hatake sneered.

Having been bullied, Kawaki Hatake showed no mercy.

The Uchiha is nothing special. Without the Mangekyou Sharingan, they'll never amount to anything.

Before he knew it, Kawaki Hatake had sheathed his sword. This kind of opponent wasn't worth his sword.

After saying that, he didn't even glance at the Uchiha again. If it weren't for the trouble of explaining in the village, he would have just killed him instead of going through all this hassle.

Letting him get hurt is a warning to the Uchiha. I, Kawaki Hatake, am not someone they can mess with.

As his words faded, he, Kawaki Hatake, had already left the alley and disappeared from the Uchiha's sight.

Watching Kawaki Hatake leave, the shock on the Uchiha's face remained. There was actually someone whose speed was too fast for his Sharingan to follow.

"Cough, cough," he coughed up a mouthful of blood, staining the ground red.

"Kawaki Hatake, I, Fugaku Uchiha, will remember you," the Uchiha said.

This person was actually the next - in - line Uchiha clan leader. If Kawaki Hatake had heard this, he might have killed him on the spot.

I've never seen a clan leader who allows the massacre of his own clan. What's the use of keeping such a person alive?

Not long after Kawaki Hatake left, the Anbu finally arrived and found the injured Fugaku Uchiha.

Fugaku claimed that he had been injured during a spar with a friend and asked the Anbu to send him back.

The Anbu could tell at a glance that he was lying. But due to the Uchiha's influence, they had no choice but to send him back to the Uchiha clan grounds. Then they quickly left, not wanting to stay for even a second longer.

Supported by his clan members, Fugaku briefly treated his internal injuries and then went to the meeting hall.

In the center of the hall, a middle - aged man sat cross - legged. He looked somewhat similar to Fugaku, and his face was gloomy.

This man was the current Uchiha clan leader and Fugaku's uncle.

"Can't you even handle such a simple thing?"

"He's just a Jonin from a small family, and you had to be sent back by the Anbu," the uncle said, clearly dissatisfied with Fugaku's performance. Such a Fugaku would have a hard time gaining his trust to succeed him as the next clan leader.

"Clan leader, Kawaki Hatake is too fast. My eyes couldn't keep up, and I couldn't even block a single move."

Fugaku candidly admitted Kawaki's strength. Defeat was defeat.

"What!!!"

"Did he use any Kinjutsu?"

The clan leader was stunned and immediately shot to his feet. He thought the worst - case scenario would be a draw, but he never expected reality to be so harsh.

So he assumed that Kawaki had employed some potent Kinjutsu.

"I don't know either. After he beat me, he told me to seek him out once I'd advanced my eyes to the next level."

Fugaku relayed exactly what Kawaki had said to the clan leader.

"Kawaki Hatake, how ridiculous."

"How could he possibly know the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan? He's nothing but a frog in a well."

"Don't worry about him for now. A great war is about to break out. I'll make the ninja world know the weight of the Uchiha name again."

The clan leader was brimming with pride, yet things didn't turn out as he hoped. The Second Shinobi World War wasn't the Uchiha's arena.

"Then I'll go down to heal my wounds."

Only then did Fugaku slink away timidly. He went back to his room and asked someone to treat his injuries again. He felt the Chakra in his body roiling. This Kawaki Hatake was truly peculiar.

His speed was extremely fast. He could use Lightning Release without Hand Seals, and his Taijutsu could even disperse his own Chakra.

He must awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan and face him in battle once more.

At this time, Kawaki leisurely returned home, completely unaware that he had become the motivation for Fugaku Uchiha to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan.
