Chapter 6: Tianyi: My Stupid Onii-san!
"Hahaha! That's great!"
Uchiha Nobuhiko suddenly burst into hearty laughter, his voice echoing through the dining room.
"My son might have the potential to be Hokage one day! Haha!"
The entire table fell silent. Tianyi, Fugaku, and even Uchiha Xinmei looked at him with identical expressions of disbelief.
"Dad… seriously?" Tianyi said dryly. "What does cultivation talent have to do with becoming Hokage?"
"Why not say I have the makings of Uchiha Madara while you're at it?"
Before Nobuhiko could respond, Fugaku scoffed.
"Why not?" he challenged. "If you're strong enough, what's stopping you from becoming Hokage?"
"And as for Madara… don't compare yourself to him. That guy was a traitor to the clan. You think it's funny to invoke his name?"
Tianyi's eyes narrowed. He set down his chopsticks with a small clack.
"My stupid onii-san," he said slowly. "Do you seriously believe strength alone makes someone Hokage?"
"If you think that, you really don't understand politics, power dynamics, or the web of interests behind the seat."
"Yes, if you're overwhelmingly powerful—able to suppress all of Konoha—you can force the title. But you'll never get their loyalty. Not truly."
"Even Madara didn't have that kind of authority. And you—who revere the clan—dare call him a traitor?"
Fugaku flinched.
"You disappoint me," Tianyi continued. "Others can call him a traitor. But for an Uchiha to believe it?"
"You've got bubbles in your brain."
Fugaku's face reddened with anger.
"You little—!"
"Enough."
Nobuhiko's voice cut through the rising tension like a blade. He looked at Fugaku with rare sternness.
"Tianyi's right."
Fugaku blinked. "You—?"
"Madara-senpai was no traitor. He was a founder of Konoha. His departure stemmed from ideological conflict, not treason."
"In truth, it was the Uchiha who abandoned him. They grew comfortable under the peace Hashirama offered, and feared another war."
"Madara left because he saw where it was all headed."
He sighed, eyes sharp now.
"Never forget who built our legacy. You may disagree with his methods, but never shame his name."
Fugaku's jaw tightened. His mind was spinning.
"This… I never knew…"
"Clearly," Nobuhiko said, more softly now. "That's my fault as your father."
He glanced at Tianyi with approval.
"Your younger brother is already thinking with more clarity than you. From now on, I'll personally guide you every evening—just one hour."
"You'll learn the real history of our clan. And maybe—one day—you'll understand what leadership actually means."
Fugaku nodded slowly, still dazed.
After dinner, Xinmei handed Tianyi the long-awaited library pass.
"You'll need this tomorrow. If you have questions, your father and I are happy to help."
Nobuhiko smiled proudly.
He wouldn't be smiling for long.
Ten minutes later…
"…Wait, what?"
Nobuhiko stared blankly at the third question Tianyi asked.
He blinked.
Swallowed.
Opened his mouth.
Closed it again.
Why can't I answer?!
By the time the fourth question came, he rose from the chair and excused himself—cheeks stiff, pride wounded.
I… I will never answer his questions about Chakra refining again, he vowed in secret.
It's just self-humiliation.
But even in his embarrassment, his heart swelled with pride.
Tenichi might actually reach Madara-senpai's level one day… And if that happens…
Maybe… just maybe… an Uchiha Hokage is possible.
The idea ignited something deep in Nobuhiko's chest. The dream of an Uchiha-born Hokage had burned in silence for too long.
Later that night, Tianyi quietly resumed his Chakra refinement.
His energy channels expanded one after another. His meridians gradually opened, and by the time the clock hit 8 PM, his body was near its physical limit.
Satisfied, he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
The next morning.
Tianyi woke early, performed his morning routine, and moved into basic Uchiha body training.
He had no intention of revealing his past-life martial arts yet.
It's not time. I need a cover story—an origin for my "Chinese martial arts."
Today's visit to the clan library might provide it.
If he could trace some reference in the library to a unique physical style, he could build a believable foundation for introducing national martial arts later.
And once that foundation's laid, I'll even teach my parents.
As for Fugaku? …We'll see.
After training and eating with his family, Tianyi followed Nobuhiko to the Uchiha Clan Library.
The elder at the gate—Senior Quan—nodded after a brief conversation with Nobuhiko and stepped aside, allowing Tianyi to enter.
"I've told Senior Quan that you now have limited access," Nobuhiko explained.
"You're free to browse historical texts and anything related to Chakra refining."
"But that's all for now—understood?"
Tianyi nodded at first. Then paused.
"Actually, Father… I'd like to request a few more categories."
Nobuhiko blinked.
"Go on."
"In addition to Chakra refining, I'd like access to information on basic physical techniques, medical ninjutsu and anatomical studies, and—if possible—anything on meditation and the Sharingan."
Nobuhiko raised his eyebrows.
"That's a lot. What for?"
"I want to deepen my understanding of the human body." Tianyi said calmly.
"It's essential for developing a refined Chakra system and physical techniques unique to me."
"As for the Sharingan… I want to try to design a real eye-opening method. Not random activation through trauma or emotion—but a deliberate, controlled path."
Silence.
"You want to… what?" Nobuhiko stared.
Even for him, that was too far.
"Trust me," Tianyi said firmly.
