"The World Tree?" Kathryn's eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe it. How could the World Tree be dying? How could this be happening? She stared at her father, seeking confirmation, even though she knew he wouldn't play such a cruel joke. Still, a seed of scepticism remained.
Kranos, listening from the side, felt his heart skip a beat. He recalled the message from the system: "Could it be because the system used the World Tree to transcend time and show me that vision? Is that the reason why the World Tree is dying?"
Many guesses swirled in Kranos's mind, but he didn't voice any of them. His expression remained neutral, as though he bore no responsibility. He listened with rapt attention as the father and daughter continued their conversation.
