Chapter 2: Kicking Feathers
I think it's been a full year since I've been here. I was back at the shipyard turning the broken ships into actual Warships. The new one was in space itself, a dreadnought. Called Forever Forward, It was torn to pieces by a number of fights. I transform it into something beautiful, in my opinion. It was now a Tau class Star Destroyer, well technically a super star destroyer. Though more compact, it was armored, shielded and carried a number of weapons.
And thanks to my knowledge of other worlds, it has an onboard replication factory. They will be mostly used for equipment that the crew would need. But in a firefight they can produce the new Tau Drones, automanouse Star-fighters that will search and destroy the enemy. They even have a Kamikaze program, with a relatively small Vortex Warhead in its core. You'd be surprised what you can get a hold of when you get a regiment of Guardsmen to side with you. Testing them was surprisingly less dangerous than expected.
I mean you just throw the grenade and it opens the warp for a few seconds and pulls everything in then it's gone. Though to be honest it will stay open if used continuously in the same spot. The Tau had learned that the hard way. On the plus side, Forever Forward is the first ship to use the new Trek-Drive. We found that it is 100% safer but 90% slower and that's going to 9.9 speed. Though it's a start I need to draw up plans to create the Warp Gate that the Borg use.
I was on the ship when my Omni-tool beeps. I turn it on to see Sarge, "Lace? We need you again with the Eldar. They just found out about your Chaos forms. Want to make sure that their 'Savior' isn't corrupted." I sighed "I'll be down in a minute, I got to finish the checks up." He nods and turns off the coms. I sighed, that was something I was trying to avoid. I didn't want to turn into those things. Fighting them is alright with me but the thought turns my stomach inside out.
I thought about taking my time, but that wouldn't be fair to Sarge or the other Tau on world. If I turned into one of them without knowing what to do, I would be a danger to them. I finished my checks and headed to the Transporter. Again another thing that was 100% safer. Thank you Star Trek. A few minutes later I was at the Tau/Eldar base. More Tau than Eldar, but every now and then the Farseer of the Ra Kin would come to demand my attention. Honestly it was getting on my nerves, I had things to do.
Sarge was waiting outside, Him and a dozen Firecaste members having a standoff with the Farseer and her Seer council. I sighed again, I've been doing that more and more these days. I step forward. "Let's go over to the open area. So we don't cause to much of a-" She hissed, "You should have told us that you hold those forms." I arched an eyebrow, "Why?" Her eyes widened in surprise, "So we could prepare in case you turn against us." I began walking, Both groups followed.
"Believe it or not Farseer, you are not my priority nor are you the center of my universe. I can't keep dropping everything to tend to your needs. I have other things to do." We stop at the edge of the base. She scoffs, "What we must do for the safety of not only my race but yours as well comes above all else." "Let's just get this over with. I'm tired of dealing with you." I began to dial up the demons, let's start with the first one. I press down and transform into a greater Daemon of Khorne. Tall, powerfully built and wearing a one piece suit of black and orange.
"COLD- BLOOD! IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU FUCKING KNIFE-EARED CUNT!!?!!" My voice boomed across the area. With literal sparks of ash and fire. It took everything to not tear into her and make sure that all who see me knows that I'm the King here. I clap my chest to turn into the next demon. "Clear-out! Urb, I think I hate this one. I can feel the clean air. Bleh." Again I turn into a greater Daemon of Nurgle. I was a black scab with orange pus. I transformed again.
I turned into a Changer, and I immediately knew something I shouldn't. My bird-like head twitches here and there. I knew that I should change but I also knew that it would be bad to change into it. Ra Kin were an offshoot of the Biel Tan. No, an offshoot of an offshoot. They think they can manipulate me? Do they not know that I know more now than ever? My hand moves up to my chest and presses the Omnitrix symbol almost caressing it.
I transformed into a Keeper now. The air I'm breathing is intoxicating. I looked at the pretty Eldar. "What's wrong, my pets? Didn't you want this? I can do anything now. I can be your good boy or bad girl. They had raised their weapons, their fear tastes SOOOO good. This can get addicting. I slap my hip and transform back into me.
I then laid down as my world was spinning, I could faintly hear Sarge talking at me. With the Eldar making whooshing noises. Soon the world decided to stop spinning. I was lifted up into a sitting position and was given some water. I see a Firecaste Medic checking me over. Sarge came up, "You okay Lace? Jack?" I raise a hand nodding, "After effects, I wasn't ready for them. I got a good idea of what I can do with them, but I need to rest for a few minutes." The Farseer steps forward. "Did you feel the pull of the Cursed ones?"
I shook my head, "No, like Free-seer I was untied to their whims. At least I only have four of them." Just then the Omnitirx made a beeping noise. I looked down and saw that it was yellow. It turned green after a second. I dial the new one…two? They looked like the Daemon from Total War Warhammer 3. One was just wearing the regular one piece. The other was wearing a different looking one. The Top half was split between Orange and black while the bottom half was split the same but on opposite sides.
The Eldar looked at me expectling, I shrugged. "Like I know how the fucking thing works." Sarge helped me to my feet. I shake my head out of the new Cobwebs. The Eldar stood in front of us, "We need to know what they all can do, not you having a tantrum at us." I looked at her then at Sarge, "Sir permission to go home to rest up." He nods, and I turn back to the Farseer. "You'll need to learn to move at our speed. We don't want another miscarried." Her eyes widen barely contain shame and anger.
I took the transport and went home. Lucky me that I cracked site to site teleportation first rather than Ground to Orbit first. I wouldn't trust it at first either.. Or at second or third for that matter. Tele-Fraggin scared the shit out of me. The Chaos Incursion that happened a couple months ago caused another attack three times by different factions of Chaos. Luckily my Tau-Star Destroyers were able to help out. Forever Forward will be the 4th one I've made.
Who would've thought that a 40k Version of Upgrade would be so powerful. I had other plans set to help make more without me being there at all times. Such as a Mobile Space Station Dockyard. Um.. Name pending. I was going to make it look like the Death Star but that seems in poor taste and would paint a giant target on it. But I did make a death star plan. Well the Darksaber from Legends. Just a giant lightsaber shaped starship. Out of all sci-fi genres Star wars was the one to go to for war. Which brings up my next point, Droids. Cheap disposable troops that we can create by the hundreds if not thousands.
Only need to figure out how to make them be more effective then they were in the damn show. Also I would need to make sure the Tactical and General Droids actually use the knowledge of Extra-planer Abilities against the enemy. On a major plus side, I had several universes to get said Droid armies. For instance in Mass effect there was the Regular Mechs and the Geth. In Fallout there are all kinds of Bots to play with. Hell the Animal Machines of Horizon would be very useful.
I got a drink and a bite to eat and went down to my workshop. The room was big enough for an alien like Brainstorm to move around freely. While there was also a small outcove in the wall for Greymatter to work. There was even a Trash Room for Juryrigg, Thank God it doesn't smell. I sat on the bed in the room, and finished my small meal. I took a nap and would hopefully wake up in a few minutes. My dreams were weird like always since being here. I can see myself wrapped in veins or plants like tendrils. Before I can see where it goes, I am suddenly woken up.
My body shape shifts into Goop, while a Tau woman with a glowing green blade attaches to her wrist. She lifts her arm up to hopefully cut me in two. But within a few seconds I was wrapped around her and with a twist of my liquid body I threw her against the far wall. She sticks to the wall, after a few minutes of struggling she sags and looks at me with furious eyes. She sucks in a breath and the next thing I know, her head exploded with a loud pop. Three Fire Casters rushed in, weapons drawn.
"Gue'vesa?! What in the Farsight's name happened?" I transformed back and sat down, back on the bed. "Leather Shapeshifter Assassin tried to cut me in two while I was asleep." They looked at the Woman and saw that the head was dissolving along with the rest of her body. The next few weeks were hectic to say the least. After I told them that the Assassin was from the Callidus Temple. They began to screen all women, and then I told them about the other assassin temples. Like the Vindicare Assassins. Now there's a veritable Armada of Drones of various kinds.
Looking for anything out of place, so far nothing. I got to make some new additions to the base. Such as creating a multiple wall system around the base. First tall walls with no holds to climb up on. Next the top will get spiky bits, third 12 meters of land outside the wall will get cleared and mined out. New mines were developed for situations like this and not by me either. A bunch of Eggheads combined a bunch of different kinds of mines. A combo of Flash and Smoke grenades then some Rainbow Grenades. Deafen, blinded and then shredded will make short work of anybody.
Of course we had an open sea that leads to other places with the help of Kai'rue, and a diving suit for diamondhead. I went around the Sea, creating towers and one sea platform. The diving suit is mostly to keep the water out of me while I land at the bottom. It wouldn't stop me from working but it would be annoying to keep coughing up water. The new Metal Caste began working on every sensor imaginable. The Metal Caste is made up of the Genius Aliens that I had cloned. It really doesn't take long before they become true beings, started expanding their own races.
Speaking of new Castes, the Water sub-caste was the Wave Caste. It was headed by two of my clones who decided that their differences were their strengths. Phagic and Shift-Out, My Symbiote and Martian Aliens. They had the same treatment as the Tau-startes and Sole-Choir. Their minds were mine but they combined and became someone new. They call themselves Tsunami-Domo. They haven't told me what they're meant to be but I have my suspicions. Air got one too, Called the Storm Caste.
A creation of the Metal Caste, they were a literal Armada of Vehicles, Drones and Ships, all controlled by a network Ai. Called StarNet, I sent several strongly worded messages to them about the name. They message me back with a Lm@0, 10!, R0f1 and a Git-Gud-Scrublord I'm ripped. I think I hate children because of that. Only a year old and already acting like brats towards their dad. After building everything I was told to get back to doing what I was doing. When I got back I got started on making the Fire Caste equivalent of the Storm Caste.
I started to create the Droid Army of my dreams. Starting with Star Wars, I made the entire roster of Separatist Droids. With a few modifications, B1's were thicker and carried multiple weapons. A Lance Rifle/Pistol and Power Blade, they also have an energy shield in the arm. I gave the B2's a shield generator. To save them from being torn to shreds. Droidekas were redesigned and made into the version from Forces of Corruptions.
The BX-Commando's were pretty much the same but with adaptive camouflage armor. MegaGuard was exactly the same, but I made them for security. Crab Droids were fun and I even made them in three sizes. Small(the size of a large bear,) Medium(the size of a large truck,) and Large(the size of several large tanks.) The Seppys droids got the Vehicles too, as a side bonus. Next was Mass Effect, First was the Mechs, such as the FENRIS, LOKI, YMIR, Atlas Mech and Rampart mechs. The only thing I changed was the FENRIS mechs, which made them look like actual Wolves. Even made a Dire wolf version.
Next was the Geth, which was weird, making a couple thousands at a time really up the intelligence of the Machine. So much that they ask me the question that damned a race to 300 years of star travel. I told them the truth, "I don't know, maybe when you're older." The Fallout Series was fun and I made sure to get the voices right. Liberty Prime was fun to make. Especially when you make them in various titan sizes. Hearing the tin can saying, "The Greater Good is non-negotiable." His normal size doesn't even come up to a Knights knees.
But when you can make a couple hundred, and deploy them all in a single battle, with a giant replicator on their backs that will allow them to throw Super-Melta Bombs. Soon after several weeks of building the new Forge Caste. I was ordered to take a week off. I was surrounded by the main squad, Sarge, Kai'rue, Marrick and the Bald Woman whose name is Blana, she was a Pathfinder. Fex Ura, the Mechanic, and Carin Luke the Medic. We were sitting around a fire outside watching the stars.
Blana was drinking my soda that I made. I think it's the Sprite, "Where the Fuck did you even come from to drink this heavenly drink? Emperor's balls, this is good shit." Fex was playing a tune on Flute. I shrugged, "It's called Earth and what you're drinking is called Sprite." Marrick was chuckling, while Carin was telling him bad jokes. Sarge drinking something else, "I have to admit Lacy. I thought this blue water was going to intoxicate me. But all it does is taste funny." Blue water? Oh, "That's the Blue Hawaiian. It's not healthy by any means but it tastes good."
Blana Moves closer to me, Till she can put an arm around my shoulders, "Tell me of Earth Lacy Boy? Is it a shining example of your people in the cosmos or is it a dust bowl of horrors." I smiled, It is a blue jewel with small patches of green. It was beautiful, I can only hope I can go home." Kai'rue shuffles next to me and places her forehead against my arm. The Omnitrix translates this as shared sadness. Proper response was to let it happen till she stops. She does after a couple of seconds. "Shifter good friend, Hope brings tragedy but resolution."
Blana rested her head on my shoulder, "This universe is cruel, can't just have this one, it has to go get another one." I knew that was a possibility, I figured it was Tzeetch that brought me. But it really could've been just some psyker that did the right thing at the wrong time. Or Vice versa. I then suddenly realize that I have two women laying against me. Sure one was an alien and the other was a crazed hunter. Women nonetheless, I then see Carin and Marrick holding hands while looking at the stars. Sarge was laying his head against the back of the log.
Fex had changed the tempo on his flute. It was a peaceful song, with uplifting undertones. Kei'rue and Blana started to lay down and pulled me with them. I went with them and we passed out. In the morning, Kei'rue had gotten up before everyone headed to her Tau-hawk. Blana woke up by standing up real quick looking dizzy then throwing up in the firepit. "What the fuck I thought it wasn't acholic?! Why do I feel sick?!" I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Normally a regular person would drink a couple of cups. You decided that drinking a couple of two liters was okay."
Sarge starts to look worried, "The Blue Hawaiian?" I rolled my eyes, "You're going to pee for a minute longer." Fex got up and kicked Carin's leg to get him up. They both made their way to the Crystal base, with Marrick following suit.
Blana stares daggers at me, "You were probably laughing at me in my sleep." I shook my head, "It slipped my mind honestly, I'm sorry. I'll put some labels on them." I got to my feet and headed to the Base. I suddenly felt an arm around my shoulders again. I look to see Blana give a poor expression to someone who's been wrong. "Oh Lacy, why would you poison someone who gave you their sympathy? I thought we had something in common but you're just as foul as the rest of them." She puts a hand to her head, "Oh how can I go on with this heavy heart."
Her eyes are closed for dramatic effect, until one opens to see if I've been moved. "Blana, my dear?" She looks at me with an almost bashful look, "Yes?" I put an arm around her waist. "Let's get something to eat. I'm hungry." I smiled at her, and she scoffed. "Bah, men, Have three brains but only think with two." I laugh, "Well yeah the third one is trying to keep it all together." She laughs at that, we went to the main room and to the newly crafted cafeteria. A few hundred worlds are within the Farsight Sphere. And before they split, the Tau Empire a Few Thousand. With all the Plants and animal meals that come with it.
Put them in the Food Replicator and you solve galactic hunger. It'll take a while before I can make My Earth food as good as I make the drinks. But I'm making progress, Ice Cream is a hit alongside the ever popular Slice Bread. Blana was drinking water, the Clean/Healthy kind. She was having a few toasted bread with butter and jelly. I was having something called Kem'luk Soup. It looks like Chicken Noodles. If the noodles were blue and the chicken was a weird orange color, It tastes like it though.
Blana was talking about her most daring pathfinding mission. Dodging elite patrols and making a quadruple headshot combo. Though she admits that it was just a bunch of lowly choppa boyz. I was going to question the reality of it, Sarge comes in with a grim look. He spotted us and marched forward. By the way Blana tense up I knew that something bad happened or was going to happen. Stop in front of us and then sit down next to me. He takes a moment before speaking. "Good news is that we have several worlds within the Farsight Spheres. Most of the Alien Cloned children are going to be transported there so that they can grow with minor supervision."
He pulls out a datapad, "By the orders of Commander Farsight, Special Unit Assets are to be sent to the eastern side of the Farsight Enclave War Front. Along with Sargent Lackic, Kroot Air Caste unit Kai'rue, Earth Caste unit Fex Ura, Fire Caste Units Blana Carin Luke, Water Caste unit Marrik. And Special Unit Jack Lace. Alongside the Inferno and Forge Castes. For the Greater Good." I put my head into my hands. "Sarge, how bad is the Eastern Front?" He sighs, "Two Warring Ork Waaghs are fighting us and themselves, Chaos Warbands, Imperial war fleets and one Necron Tomb that is slowly waking up."
Blana Curses under her breath, "Sarge, do we have titles for these monsters?" I raised my head to look at him, as he scrolled through his briefing. "Chaos Warband are a combination of Night Lords, Word Bearers and various Alpha Legions. Most of the Imperium are busy hunting the Orks clans, which are called Clan Orkperium and Clan Bakstabbas." I looked at him in terror, "What do you mean Orkperium and Baktabbas?!" He looks at me in shock. "You know about these clans? We've only just learned about them." "God Fucking Dammit! Those shouldn't even be real!"
Blana looks worried, "So not from 'Official Sources'?" I shook my head. Official Sources was the term coined to hide me from would-be seekers. "Fuck me, They are 'joke' ork clans. Both are based on the imperium and the Chaos factions. The 'Lore' states they mostly argue about who's the better Primarch or replay the Horus Heresy." I took a drink of my water and then thought of something terrible. "What world are they on?" he nods, "They are a newly conquered world Dubbed Jump Off. There are a dozen or so warp routes that can lead to some favorable worlds."
"But it's not just the Orks, several Chaos Warbands and it appears to be a Tomb World and the Imperium are setting up shop in the Northern Mountains, with a confirmed sighting of Space Marines." Blana rubs her face with a groan and I get up. "We best get packing. I would rather we go and deal with this now rather than later." Sarge Gets up and gives us both a Guards Salute, We return it. We went to our respective dorms and got ready to leave. I went to my workshop to see what I can build along the way. Only to see the green adhesive that holds the Assassin was still there.
She was gone but Goop's goop was still there. "Huh" I quickly transformed and got rid of it. Shouldn't leave the place in a mess. I logged into my desktop and downloaded all the tech that can be built the quickest and the can mass built. After I was we piled in the Tau-Hawk and flew to the assembled fleet. I can see Tau Class Star Destroyers, with two new ships. I then realized what they were. The Arc Hammer and the Mothership from Homeworld. There were Ten of the Hammers and four of the Motherships.
And they were scaled up to 40k scales. The mothership was already a giant ship, but now I know it can win. Kai'rue chirps, "We be stars now." I got access to the StarNet, sure it's Network Ai but it's the new space internet. The names of the Motherships, Hera, Frigg, Isis and Kali. The Hammers are called Vulcan, Hephaestus, Brokk, Sindri, Ptah, Ogun, Alue, Celebrimbor, Gond, and Torag. I see hundreds of other ships like trek ships, mass effect and various other ships from different realities. All scaled up to 40k standards.
We landed on the largest Star Destroyer. We were put into temporary quarters. We got beds, food and showers. We suspected that we would be taking a longer but safer route. Until the screen in our room turned on with a series of texts. "Hey Pops, we figured out a way to use Trek-Warp travel a lot faster than normal. Also stargate is a thing now. It's not the Webway but pretty close. Also get to your ship we will be exited from Trek-space soon. XOXOXOXO"
We looked at each other then heard the Klaxon Alarm going off. Everyone was cursing now, Blana was yelling at me. "You better tell your kids to shape up or they're gonna get an ass-kicking." The holo-screens along the wall to the hanger, showed a pair of boots shaking. "Oh fuck you brats." We got into the shuttle and the next thing I knew we made a hot landing in The Horizon Fortress.
Which was being under attack by, guest it Orks specifically Ultra-Orks. Armor and skin painted in both Blue and white. Alongside them was the Gretchen-Guards and in the distance I see a massive Ork in blue and white armor. Every once and while he roars the color of the world disappears briefly. The Ultra-Orks then roar and fight harder. Usually a Tau Fortress would have high walls with an energy curtain. But there's a giant hole in said wall, Sarge orders to take cover. I then heard whistling. I looked up and saw thousands of pods making their way to the earth.
These weren't Marine Pods but nonetheless a force to be reckoned with. They slammed into the ground with thunderous applause. Soon from the pods came bright bluish green bolts of energy. The Prime-Ork Roars and most of his forces disappear in a flash of green and red energy. I looked and saw the Geth units, not just the ones that came out of the pods but said pods are glowing and more Geth units are coming out. Though the Geth looked like the Geth their armor is colored in the Tau colors. Several of the units began repairing the wall and started to set up turrets and War Replicators.
As that is happening, a few dozen shuttles are making their way to the Fortress. The Commander of the Fortress comes to the courtyard. "Attention Brothers and Sisters. I thank those who came to our aid in a most timely fashion. But we have numerous problems. We need to get into contact with the other forts and bases of operations. I know that two other Fortresses have been holding out and hopefully they'll receive reinforcements." He takes a breath but coughs instead. After he was done he continued. "First we need to secure this region. I have a list of 88 Ammo depots, 43 Major Factories and 12 Greater Comms Towers. I need Sargents to gather and decide who goes where and who fights who. I need to try to get in touch with the other Fortresses."
He rushes back in the building and the sargents start to talk, along with the Geth Prime unit. I was checking my armor and weapons to make sure that they were ready. Till I hear Sarge shout for me. "This is Jack Lace Special Asset, Jack this is Sargent Do'kon, Lev'get and Sho'yo. We've been assigned together." He turns to the Prime Unit. "The Forge-Caster says they won't be able to land like they did the last time. They've created a Jamming Device to stop targeting."
The Prime Unit did the Tau salute to me. "Prime-Creator, we need to find the jammers and disable them." I got an idea, "Is it possible to use a tight beam locator?" It nods, "The Geth have already tried that we need to know where bases are exactly." I turn to the sarges, "Do we have maps?" Sho'yo shakes her head, "No, we know where the towers are cause you can see them from just about anywhere but they were all captured by Iron andz, Da Iron Waaagh, and the EmperOrks Fistz. They sent out a scrambler that wiped the drives of our datacores."
I smirk, "Then we need to free the comms towers. I'm going to need a powerful but portable Locator." Sarge puts a hand on my shoulder. "What're you planning son?" The locator doesn't need to be at ground level to work. If I fly I would most likely be shot down. But I have a couple of Speedsters that can in fact get in on the top of those towers." He looks at the other sargents then to the Prime Unit, "Likelihood of success?" The Geth Unit thinks for a few nanoseconds. "We would need to see the speed of each Prime-Creator form." The other Sargents draw a line about a meter apart. First was XLR8 and then Fasttrack.
"We believe that Creator-XLR8 would have a 77% chance to succeed. While Creator-Fasttrack would have a 73% chance to succeed." I transform back into XLR8 and a Geth Trooper waiting with a blocky backpack. I put it on a latch and made sure it wouldn't fly off.
The Sargents gave me a salute, while Sarge, "For the Greater Good!" I give them a sly smirk, "Be back in a Flash!" And I was off, as I was running to 'closest one' the world turned a slight gray and started to freeze in place. The closest Tower was several hundred miles away. As I was getting closer I saw a literal carpet of Gretchen-Guard, when I got close enough I reached out and started pulling pins on their Grenades. Then I saw the Ork-Fort just race up it then down and around till I got to the Tower I went up and up and up. Soon I reached the top and saw it has a maintenance platform.
I checked all over the platform to make sure there were no nasty surprises. I then set up the Locator. Finally I stopped and felt numerous explosions. I'm so high up I don't even get to the soft thump. I then hear the familiar sound of pods dropping. Again a few Thousand came down this time with a few dozen larger pods. I raced down and started pulling pins, poking eyes out and redirecting shots to hit their own. After I was down the Pods landed and out came the Separatist Droid army. They Geth may have thousands but the Seps were meant to win wars of attrition. The Big pods were for their vehicles. An army of BXs do an I,Robot impression swarm over the large warbosses.
I made short bursts of speed to kill over ambitious Orks. Soon Tower Alpha was secured. I ran back to the Fortress and saw that the Geth had made another Locator. I strap it in and race to Tower Beta it was further and bit North-East. And I did the exact same thing. Pulling pins and popping eyes. When I made my way to the top I checked for Traps set up and did the same thing again. I looked to the distance and saw the fleet of Forge-Droid vehicles coming in hot. The Droid speeders were coming in a swarm. I race down and to help out. This happens to Tower Charlie and Delta.
We had a beachhead and while I was out doing the Greater Good Justice. Most of the Tau Army secured a number of assets. Such as a dozen Ammo Depots and 7 of the Major Factories. All are in need of major repair. This is where things get a bit tricky. Tower Espolon and every tower after are across a major highway and bridge. The Former Imperial Citizens had to build it over a Major Canyon. Both ends are heavily fortified and the bridge itself is rigged. Not to mention that the sides of the Bridge have hundreds of Loota Tanks and Trukks so they can fire on us if we try to go around. I was at one of the Depots. Which gave us a good view of said bridge.
Which is under attack by the near Endless Forge-Droid-Army(FDA) The Geth Army are also in the Attack. Every now and then a bright flash goes off. Sometimes several, using the Cain Launchers. I would like a modern version of the Fatman but we're trying to save the planet not kill it. In the Distance beyond the bridge, We can see Thousands of Orks pouring into the bridge to slow down the FDA. Good news, We have control of the Orbit. Bad news, Both the Orks and Chaos have set up Major Bases on different sides of the planet. Good news is that the Imperium is mostly focusing on the Chaos. Bad news, Old Man Necron is partially awake and is pissed that we are on his lawn.
Blana Decloaks next to me, giving me a heart attack. "Fucking Christ women. I coulda shot you." Her armor usually looks clean but now was practically caked in dirt, blood and other things. She takes off her helmet and Breath. Her normally bald head was starting to fuzz up. And she wasn't getting enough sleep if the bags under her eyes are anything to go by. "Are you okay?" I grabbed a cloth and tried to rub some dirt off her face. "I'm fine, tired is all. I got a message from Marrick. Saying that Command got partial scans up and they've detected a huge energy signature near the Chaos base or at least where we think they are."
Most likely Necron, we knew they were waking up. I gave her my cantine and she took a couple gulps. "Damn good water. You never know what you'll miss when you go a few days without it. Don't get me wrong, Lacy your new Armor is very useful. But I don't think I like the idea of drinking my own recycled sweat and piss." I chuckled "I wasn't planning on putting it to use so soon. You should rest up while you have a chance." She nods and lays against some crates. I do the same and try to control my breathing. Back home you hear stories of veterans getting used to the Gunfire and the Explosions in the distance.
But worst of all they don't tell you the smell of cooked meat from a living thinking creature smells disgustingly sweet. The Orks are a Group of sentient Fungus. So to add the Earthy smell to that. If Only there was some way to redirect the Orks to attack Chaos… I lifted up my comms wrist and Contacted The Geth Collective Network.

I need Tsunami-Domo and a couple of Mechamorphs.
It didn't take a genius to figure out what I plan on doing. Though it did take time to figure out how I was going to get there. It took a day for the four Mechamorphs to join me and Tsunami-Domo. I turn to the Geth Unit. "I ask for a couple Mechamorphs. Why four?" One of the Mechamorphs steps forward, "Greetings Pops, I'm Malware, I specialize in Electronic warfare. This is EDI and her twin Cortana, both specialize in Equipment Management." He points to the slightly skinnier version of the Mechamorphs. EDI was Silver with Blue highlights. While Cortana was Blue with Green highlights that pulse with purple every now and then.
"Last but not least, Is Spawner has a unique ability to create mini-copies of himself as well as holograms and whatnot. I looked at the tall and rather fat Mechamorph. He was all black save for a slight shimmer of red. Suddenly a few faces and hands press against his body. With a minor flash, Tsunami-Domo appears. He had the same shape as Martian Manhunter But with a Full yellow body with red, green and white highlights. Of course he was wearing a skin tight bodysuit with red X across it. Though he had a green cape with a white spiral.
"Hello Me/Hello Me" I nodded. He smiled warmly, then Yellow and Black flames flickered around his body. Almost like Lightning Bugs or embers. "We miss it too/We miss it too" I got a brief glimpse of home, family around the campfire. Along with that was the night before our deployment. I breathed in and out, I turned to the Sargents and the Horizon Fortress Commander. "I have a plan. One of my forms is the Ork's Predecessor known as a Krork, I call him War-Drum due to the fact that he has 6 Large Hearts Beating in tandem. Like a wardrum. I only transformed into him once."
"I made a low-end Armor with weapons. With the four Mechamorphs and Tsunami-Domo fused into War-Drum I should be able to challenge the Da Boss Emprah, for control of the Orkperium. And maybe find out what the Bakstabbas are working with them?" I looked at all of them, "This may be our chance to get a Powerful Ally or at least a great weapon. Tsunami-Domo made a humming noise. "Give us a couple of hours/Give us a couple of hours—We need to get something to help us/We need to get something to help us" I looked to the Commander.
He thought for a moment, "If we do this we will need every advantage we can get. I'll give you one hour, Wave-caster, go!" He nods and heads to the Biolabs. I took the time to grab a bite to eat. As I was looking around at the Tau and the various humans and droids. I see something shocking. The Tau women that tried to kill me weeks ago. She was posing as a pathfinder now, she was talking to some of the humans. Smiling brightly, she nods and the humans walk away. She watches them then looks around and then spots me. Her eyes go wide not in fright but pure hatred.
We stared each other down till a crowd between us and when it passed she was gone. I made my way to the Sarge and he looked back at me. He gained a few new scars, "Something wrong Lace?" I nod while looking at the crowds and possible hiding spots. "Remember the assassin a few weeks ago?" He nods, "I saw her again, with the same Tau face, in a pathfinder armor." He looks at me like I grew another head. "Are you sure, she was pretty dissolved at the end there." I nod, "If she was just using the face I'd understand. But when she noticed me I saw nothing but fury. Back home we have a saying, 'If looks could kill.'"
He looks around hoping to see the assassin. "So a clone Or a twin? I'm not sure what's more damning." I shook my head, "Clones wouldn't have the hatred that I saw, a twin might. It was more like 'How dare you?' Like an affront to what was supposed to happen." He grimaces, "Now we have a Revenge Plot to our War story." It was my turn to see if he had grown a new head. He looks at me with a slight embarrassment. "I like a good War novel, and some romances." I tried to arch an eyebrow but I couldn't get it right. "I'm surprised Sarge, You got a beating heart in your tin chest."
He scoffs then chuckles, "I'm human Jack, I bleed red like so many others. I've been married 12 times. I had 4 or 5 children with each and they all cursed me for wanting a better life for me and them." I nod, "Now let's retire this road and return to the problem at hand." We inform StarNet, Geth Network and other intelligence groups. They'll be watching everyone like it was 1984, God I hate how that is more true now then back then. Soon Tsunami-Domo comes back. His skin/suit now have faint blue and purple lines. "We have made an upgrade to us/We have made an upgrade to us" I take a brief look around then we all gather onto a stealth shuttle.
It cloaks, it dampens, it scrambles, and it can make several drones that can create hard light holograms to distract or to ram into other ships. For our purpose we are going to fly over the Ork Fortress and do a Hero landing right in the middle. The trip doesn't take more than a handful of minutes. We all jumped and I transformed into War-Drum. With The Mechamorphs fusion into my armor, while Tsunami-Domo merges with my very being. I landed and the World stopped hearing it. I was surrounded by my lesser kin. All the Prime Orks stood in a circle with the Da Boss Emprah standing at equal height with me.
I raised my hand and then thrust it down, Every Prime Ork fell to their Knees. Da Boss Emprah held strong. He growled, I DA BOSS EMPRAH! YOUS BE DIFFERENT LIKE OLD MOSS KLINGEN. When I spoke it was to all Ork Kind.
I AM THE WAR-DRUM, I AM YOUR GOD MADE REAL! FROM MY SPORE YOU WERE MADE FROM MY TEETH YOU WERE CARVED, FROM MY MIND YOU GIVEN THOUGHT! AND FROM MY BLOOD YOU WILL SERVE!!!!
We stared down at each other then, he kneels. I hear not just from the Orks around us from the universe itself. The united thumping of drums. I sent out a call to the Orks to go find a corner of the Galaxy and build themselves up.
DA BOSS EMPRAH GO AND KILL CHAOS ON THIS WORLD! He nods roars, YA HEAR DA WAR-DRUM BOYZ, WE GOTS TO KILL THE CHAOZ BOYS! FOR DA WAAAAAGH!!!! The Prime-Orks rose up roared and all of the orks turn and race towards the chaos base.
Da Boss Emprah turns to me, I KNOWZ YA NOT A ORK OR OLD ORK. SEND YA WHEN YA A REALZ ORK! He then turned and did a full sprint to catch up. Malware made a hum noise, "Kinda expected a fight." The mechamorphs agreed, "We think they aren't the problem here/We think they aren't the problem here" With that we heard laughter we turned around and saw that woman. Not just her but an army of her. Of various ages and of different members of the Imperium.
"I have to admit that I thought you and them were going to tear each other apart." A woman in her mid forties but probably in her mid hundreds walks forward. A Ordo Xenos Inquisitions symbol on her left breast. "But I guess they are stupid brutes. Now you force me to be the one kill them and that won't do. So kindly lay down and die." NO was all I said that seemed to put a bit off balance. "It isn't an option." ALRIGHT I think she is more used to her enemies going on about their supposed greatness. She takes a breath then snaps her fingers. As Her Cloned Army began firing at me.
Krork tech was meant to block gauss weapons, so their Lasguns do nothing as they bounce off my Energy Shield. Her Sisters of Battle are firing their bolters which again do nothing but detonate against the shield. When any of them need to reload they throw grenades. I walked forward till I was close enough for Tsunami-domo to start throwing biotic and psionic powers. While the Mechamorphs were sending EMPs to disable their tech. I snatch up a guardwomen up and snap her back in half. Dropping her I step on another woman, and a group Callidus Assassins start climbing me to stab at my flesh.
Tsunami-Domo created a singularity and rift combo around me and the Assassins were torn to shreds. The leader of the She-Clone Army was calling for someone. I can hear her even over the battle. "I don't care about sending them now, it's our only option now. All of them!" I backhanded a Sister of Battle, sending her flying. I then heard 10 sonic booms. I looked up to see pods that crashed behind me causing dust and dirt to create a smoke screen. I also heard smoke grenades being popped with flashes following.
I then heard the screeching of the Eversor Assassins. I suddenly felt their claws carved into my armor. They were moving beyond human speed. The mechamorph can track them but can't get a lock on. Till Tsunami-Domo sent a wave of biotic energy which caught all of the women in a stasis field. The Leader had a look of pure hatred. I walked to her, letting her free. I snatched her up and brought her up to my eye level. Tsunami-Domo began to enter her mind, using a combination of innate Martian telepathy, Klentarr Symbiosis and psionic power. We found out quite a bit.
Her name is Marise Legionosa, of the His Most Holy Inquisition the Ordo Xenos. She is a Perpetual who found out that if she clones herself they would wake up as her. She has multiple armies worth of herself to fill many positions. With Tsunami-Domo being fueled by me, we reached into her very soul. We ate them, leaving only her. Her ship at the edge of the Star System loses most of their crew. Her army here and at the Imperial base died. Tears of blood fell from her eyes and she screamed in agony. I put her on the ground.
She fell to her knees, I began walking away. Her army that attacked me fell to the ground after the stasis field went out. The Eversor's exploded in a bloody fashion and I made my way to the safe zone.
Later that month
It's a scary thing when you're the one that is 10 meters tall. It's another to watch the new War-Drum clone tear apart the Ork fortifications. Just to make his armor, Said fortifications were abandoned. As the Orks are going out of their way to kill the Chaos forces. Who sacrifice every one of their slaves to summon an army of demons. Both the Alpha Legion and the Night Lords didn't have a chance to set up ambushes but they're making up for it with their sheer killcount. From what we can tell the Word Bearers Sorcerers are now using the Orks own Waagh energy to bring forth random demons to fuel the war effort.
On an unrelated note, we went back to see if the Lady Inquisition was still there, but we only found her clone's bodies. Most of them had turned to dust and I knew she would now be a thorn in our side… Mine particularly. It's been a few weeks since the Ork Take over. As the Orks deal with Chaos we have to deal with the regular imperium. Said Imperium is in a mountain range with only three pathways into said mountains. Each of them are being mined out and turret covered. Each one is now a death trap/kill box combo. There is also artillery up and down the passages.
"Lace!" I turn to see Blana running up, "We got problems!" I sighed, "What now?" She takes a moment to catch her breath. "The Necrons are acting odd. We need some Official Sources to determine what's wrong." We ran to the Tau-Hawk, as an unknown pilot lifted off and we flew at high speed. It only takes a few minutes to make it to the main Command Center Base. Once landed we rushed to the CC. The moment the main doors opened to the main room I froze. A hologram of a Necron was in the middle, not just any Necron either. A Flayed One was wearing the flesh of the Orc and Chaos cultists that they fought.
"I see you recognise them." I turned to see with cuts, bruises and I froze again in horror. "Sarge your arm?!" It was his right arm, he shook his head. "That's War son, But don't worry, the Metal Caste is already getting me a new one." I nodded. I walked to the hologram, I took a deep breath before blowing it out. "They're called the Flayed Ones, Necron infected with a curse by the Flayer, a C'tan God, that makes them want to eat flesh and to wear the skin. To make themselves think that they are still alive and not machines."
One of the Tau Sarges scoffed, "More God talk really? Do all humans believe such nonsense?" I rolled my eyes, "The C'tan were originally just semi-sentient energy clouds before the Nerontyr turned them into God-engines. Powerful machines that found out that eating the souls of people were tastier than that of solar energy." I sucked a breath in, "It honestly doesn't matter anymore, They've been shattered and scattered." I turned to sarge and I realized for the first time ever, I was pissed. I know he is my commanding officer, but he is a friend. He was patient with a green rookie soldier like me. He knew when to bark or to just listen. Seeing him without an arm, I'm going to stop them.
"Now I need to know how many were among the Necron it'll determine the kind of force we need to bring." The hologram vanished and pulled out to where the tomb was, and I saw hundreds or thousands of flayed ones. "We're not dealing with a regular infection, it's a full blown epidemic." I then spotted the Lord, he was wearing the skin of just Chaos cultists and holding the black stone cane. Another Sargent noticed him too, "Can they be controlled by chaos?" I shook my head, "They're soulless, there is nothing too corrupt. But I wouldn't want to place any bets on it."
They fact that the Lord is wearing nothing but Chaos Skins is setting off alarms. We began to plan for the inevitable wave of Killer Undead Machines. Some suggest that we make contact with the Imperium, but it was shot down because they wouldn't make deals with us. The Metal Caste thought about taking over them with Mechamorphs but shoved back to plan B or C. We know that the Necron are at the edge of the continent. It'll take them a week if they are just walking, less if they don't. Till Scout walks in, with a servo-skull floating next to him.
The skull floats to us and a hologram of the Imperium Leader. Marise Legionosa stood before us one eye now replaced with a cybernetic, along with her left arm and leg. She doesn't look around, But speaks, "Attention Xenos we of the Imperium are willing to parlay." She spit that out like lemons. "As you probably notice the Necron is on a march to the Chaos and Ork forces and we are next. We are cut off from the rest of His Glorious Empire, we leave if we win but know we will return with greater forces." She then turned to me, "And I will exact my vengeance on you Traitor. Long Live the God-Emperor."
The hologram disappeared and with a little burst of electricity it fell down. Blana slapped my shoulder. "Congrats buddy you got Nemesis!" There were snickers across the room. I sighed, "It's too soon I'm not ready!" Now they were laughing. The commander gave the silence hand. "We have a chance to secure this planet. Now we need to take it." He turns to look at everyone, "Let's get to work, Private Lace come with me and Sargent Lackic." I follow them to the Commander's Office. Once the door closes, the windows dull slightly. "Private Lace you are hereby the rank of Sergeant effective immediately. While Lankic becomes a Lieutenant. Any questions?" I nod after a few seconds of being stunned.
"What of the others? Blana, Marrick and Fex or.." Sarg-Lieutenant Lackic holds up his left hand. "Who do you think recommended this? Normally you would be given time to learn how to be an officer, but due to the contribution you've given the Farsight Enclaves. And that of your Sqaudmates, This is the next best thing. With me taking up a new rank you're still going to be under me still but now you got the others to worry about too." He gave me a salute, it was the wrong hand but it meant the world to me. I saluted him back. I then went to the barracks to see the squad looking away doing other stuff. Not paying any mind to me. "So what? No Sargent on deck?" They all turn with stone faces till Kei'rue gave a War-cry.
They all stood at attention. I, with my own stone face, said "You guys need to work on that." After a few moments we began to laugh. They came over to congratulate me on the promotion. I then ask to be taught how to best use them in a combat situation. Blana was a Long-range fighter, Marrick was a comms officer, Fex was a Mechanic with the sole purpose of keeping everything around us working. Carin was a combat medic. If he gets hit we go war crime on everyone. And now both me and Lt Lackic are the one to keep them in line. Kei'rue was both our air-power and extraction. The next few hours was me having to attend a dozen different meetings with the final one being my squad and a dozen others meeting up with the Imperium.
I was unfortunately needed upfront and personal. Marise stood in the center with three Sisters of battle behind her. I don't think they are her. To her right was the Space Marine leader A fucking Space Shark Champion. I can only assume he was staring daggers at the Inferno Squad members. To her left was the Marshal of the local Guardsmen. Beside him was the Head acolyte of the Tech-Priest here. It was an intense moment when the Tech-priest spoke, "You have a STC. You will hand it over. To proper hands." He was looking at me, "I don't have one." Several wheels of his machine's gears turned, "That can be taken in two ways. You either don't have just one and have many or you have none and are creating false creations of the Omnissiah."
"If the Omnissiah knows all and comprehends all, why would 'inventing' matter to him? The moment it is invented he knows it and comprehends it." He turns his full body to me. "You are a former Priest of Mars?" I shook my head, "I'm a good listener and reader." Marise snarled, "It doesn't matter what the Traitor was, he is an enemy to the Imperium." She looks at me with hate, "You will get what all Traitors get in the end." I smirked, "I'll meet you in hell then?" The Space Marine spoke, it was deep and loud. "Enough! The Necrons are the priority right now." We stared at each other for a second before nodding.
And we got down to the Brass tacks in a week's time they'll make it to the Tau. However in a day they'll make it to the Chaos and Ork warfront. However we notice that the Chaos forces are dwindling fast. And War-Drum along with the Prime-Orks have already left for the Great Ork Haven. Taking all but the weakest orks with them. Still they outnumber them 3000 to 1 if not more. The Necrons will still have to fight them, it might slow them down long enough to get the Imperiums forces off world but we aren't taking chances yet. Marise knows she needs us to get to her ship along with everyone else here. After all, they have vital information about me.
We had several drones projecting the landscape to find a way to slow them further. Collapsing the mountain passes is a no go due the flayed ones ability to dig around that. I looked up to see the Shark next to the Squad leader of the Infernos. They were talking to each other, about what I don't know. I look around to see the Tech-Priest staring at me. I think he hasn't let me out of his sight. I went back to the planning, "So you need to get off the planet. Well we need to slow the Necron long enough to have your ship send its shuttles."
The Marshall scoffs, "Traitor if we had a ship we would've been using it to send you and your Xenos to hell." I looked at him with an arch-eyebrow. I then pointedly looked at the Lady Inquisitor. She scowls at me, "My personal ship is at the edge of the system, with only the bare minimum powered." The Marshall curses, "Fucking Inquisition leaving my men to die." She stood up straighter, "I'll give the signal to have them come closer." Lackic nods and had someone give a signal to our ships to allow them to through. "It'll still take them a few hours to get here." She was going to say something else before we saw a giant flash in the distance.
We saw a dozen monoliths appear over the Chaos Ork Warfront. They began vaporizing everything, I turned to Marise, "The closest passage is the route they'll most likely head to. We'll hold off the outer passage. You need to get ready for extraction." I turn to run to the Tau-Hawk. She grabbed my arm with the Cybernetic one. "You will not die today. You and I have unfinished business." I put a hand on her shoulder, and with the straightest face I could manage. "It's a date." She looked shocked as she let go. I got on the Tau-Hawk and looked back before the doors closed, to see she was clenching her teeth so hard that her gums were bleeding.
Blana was giving me a 'Seriously' look, I shrugged. The Tau-hawk hologram system shows both our forces moving to fight. I notice that the Infernos are linking up with the Space Sharks company. I then looked for the biggest force on the planet that isn't the Orks or Necrons. The Droid forces are moving in a giant blob formation. With the Tanks and speeders making a beeline for the Necrons. From the system commands the speeders are on a kamikaze run they get in while shooting and then explode. The Tanks are to keep moving while firing. The Geth are setting up artillery and mortars with a huge number of every Mass Effect Heavy Weapon.
ME-Hammerhead and the ME-Mako are doing the same as the Droid Army's tanks, only a bit faster. Meanwhile from the Space forces, they're sending every Droid-Pod down to make it a bit more bearable. I turned to Marrick who was typing on his Omni-Tool. "Why aren't we firing down on them?" He doesn't look up at me, "Jammers!" I then turn on my comms, "Lieutenant? We need a way to get past the jammers that the Necrons have going on." Lackic came on, "Affirmative, can you use XLR8 to get close enough without being shot?"
I think about it for a minute, "I don't think so Lt, They may be corrupted computers but they're still computers. I would need to be faster than they could compute the time limit…" I suddenly stopped thinking, and a new thought came to me. "Sargent?" I began flipping through the Omnitrix til I came up on Time-Lord the Hrud alien. "I have an idea but I need to land to do it." "What's the idea, Sargent Lace?" I looked at the map, "I can use Time-Lord to stop time long enough to place a Locator at the center."
I hear him chattering with the other command units, "Are you sure of this?" "Yes sir!" "You have permission, Sargent. For the Greater Good!" The Tau-Hawk lands and I turn the dial and push it down. Nothing happened?! "No why the Fuck didn't it work?" I looked around and saw everything was frozen. Then I saw Time-Lord waving his bendy arms and legs around. The doors was nearing the ground till time had stopped.
"We/I/Them are very Bendy! We/I/them think we should stay like this. We/I/Them don't know how to be other anymore." He began to swing his legs towards the Necron. "Come on, Other, We/I/Them have a job to do." We walked there and I saw war frozen in time. Time-Lords steps killed the grass or grew flowers. He poked a gauss beam and it moved to the side like a tree branch. He touched a Droid and it became shiny while touching a Necron made it turn to pure rust. We made it to the center and I was very scared now. There were 12 giant death machines around us.
I looked around and saw three more beings, One was wearing a Starfleet Uniform, the next was wearing a cloth pants and shirt but was glowing blue with a Hydrogen Atom symbol on his forehead. The next was wearing a white suit, but his body was made up of twinkling stars. Starfleet chuckled, "My name is Q-Jack, and these are Jack-Hatten and Alien X or as he will be named J-X. And the four of us are the most powerful forms you'll have or need. Clockwork is not nearly as powerful as Time-Lord but has an interesting ability to predict timelines. You will need to figure out how to deal with him at a later date."
Jack-Hatten allowed his feet to rise slightly to cross them underneath himself. "We can not help you but only at important moments like now. The Changer is looking for us but can't touch us." J-X Nods, "We need to change the game to cause him to panic, when one panics, they all panic. We need to change the future. Though you have made great changes they happened slow enough for him to adjust. The Blooded one does not care for us, The Whore does know what to do with us. However The Infested one is doing something we weren't expecting.
Time-Lord shakes his arms some more. We/I/Them can see him changing the cycle. We/I/Them see Isha crying for help, and for murder. She is being raped by Nurgle. The Changer isn't paying attention to him, The Whore doesn't care and The Blooded one is getting ready for a big push." Q-Jack frowns sadly, "We can't help even if we could, it'll put us at risk in more ways than one. The Cancer Goddess is going to be born and the Priests of Mars is going to be her first target." He snapped his fingers and a locator beacon appeared. "You won't be able to stop her birth but you can win against her. She won't have anything to feed off of, Despite her Father being Nurgle, he won't share with her. Because she isn't like him. Instead of a circle it'll be a line."
They turned to me as time began to move forward slowly. "Good luck Space Cadet, we're counting on you. And remember, you're not alone." I blink and I'm back in the Tau-hawk as it finishes opening the back hatches. "We got a signal! Begin firing solutions aiming for the monoliths first." In the distance I see lances of the highest caliber slammed into the monoliths. Some blinked out of existence in the first round of attacks. I looked at my Omnitrix and saw several new DNA scans.
Blana was cheering at the success of the plan. She turned to me with the biggest grin which faded as she looked at me. I saw the ceiling a second later, with my reflection in it. Long white hair and beard wrinkles and liver spots. I passed out. I woke up and saw my reflection again. My hair was now gray but was getting its color back and my beard was trimmed down but also getting color. No more wrinkles and liver spots. I was on a medical bed back in command. I didn't notice that I was aging rapidly.
I think that was the point. Even Thor couldn't beat Age. I sat up and felt all my bones snapped, crackled and popped! "Ow! Fuck!" I heard running and Carin came in. "Sarge! Oh fuck thank the Greater Good your awake." He pulled up his Omni-tool and Began scanning me, "You had us worried Lacey, From our initial scans you looked like you aged a hundred years." I began blinking a lot as I started to cry. "Sarge?" It wasn't regular tears, it was full of gunk and what not. "Sarge, I need you to close your eyes for a second." I did and then I felt water being poured on my face while a medical rag was drying my eyes.
After a minute or so I could see with minimum tears. But this started a whole mess. My nose began to drain snot, as I sneezed up a storm flinging my snot at bolter speeds. I needed to use the bathroom and I was getting a headache with ringing ears. I can barely hear Carin, "Sorry Sarge, Gonna need to knock you out, you'll kill yourself at this rate." I woke up again, in a different room and bed, My hair color was back at least. Again I sat up and queued the Cereal sounds. All I could do now was moan in pain. Carin came walking in this time, "How do you feel Sarge? Not about to lose your innards?" I hear my stomach growling, "I think I'm hungry, how long have I been out?"
He pulled up a chair, "The first time you were out a couple weeks and the second you were out for a couple of days. And barring another attack like last time, maybe another couple of hours." He gave me a smirk, I wanted to laugh but I couldn't. "Some Sargent am I right?" He chuckled, "You should've seen Lackic's Promotion party. The next morning we were ordered to march in the afternoon on a planet with two suns and a reflective moon. While the Commanders at the time were blaring horns. "
I chuckled or tried to, I had a coughing fit. "Grab me a meal and tell me the latest News." He didn't need to go far as there was a Replicator on the wall. "Chuku porridge, warm." I heard it worked and he brought it to me. With a fucking spork… goddammit. "Now Sargent, don't scoff at the utensil, it saves space. Let start with what happened at Jump Off, After you succeeded at your mission, the Necron retreated to the tomb. The Metal Casters scooped up whatever parts that didn't get reabsorbed by the Energy Wave. Which wasn't much, however we now have a new unit to help us. The New Taucron." I gave him a sour look.
He shrugged, "I didn't have a say, Though Tsunami-Domo have been calling them Exos. However we can't replicate them just yet but the Metal Caste says that they are close. By how much, I don't know. The imperium made a run for it with a nuclear gift left at their base." He scoops up a glob of Porridge. I hate being fed, But I couldn't move my arms. I then looked down at my arm and saw the Omnitrix. Its dull black was now a glossy black with the Orange now a bit glittery like crystals. I then looked up, "Water, please." He had a canteen he put up to my lips and I drank.
When I was done I cleared my throat and said "MIND-SWEEPER!" I transform into a healthy Ethereal. I then floated of the bed while I turned to Carin Luke, "Sorry for not mentioning this I forgot that if I transformed I would be better now I must read your memories it is good that you giving me a debrief you are already remembering everything I am now done I will transformed back" In a bright orange flash I was back to fit shape. My Hair was at its regular brown, my eye a dirty hazel and bright orange. I should be shocked but I'm not. I tried to remember the brief and found that I couldn't. "Fucking Mind-Sweeper, took everything with him."
"He said a single sentence..? Why?" I shrugged, "How the hell am I supposed to know, I can turn into a sentient snot bubble and a being that was born on a star I don't know anymore then you do. At least not without going into deep files." His eyes widened, "Oh yeah, almost forgot, Blana noticed that your Omnitrix turned yellow before your old looking ass passed out." I glared at him, "I can make you run for that now, you know that right?" He rolled his eyes, "Not in here you can't, here, I'm the commanding officer. Now sit back down while I run scans and tests to make sure you're not going to have Heart attack."
I sat down as he began, while I looked at the New Aliens, Protoss from Starcraft, Sayian, Namekian and Majin. Cool, next was Deoxys and Mewtwo? Okay, then there was Starro and a Kryptonian? I think its fucking with me now. Then the next three were scary to say the least. SCPs 682, 999 and 1471. 682 looks like a giant lizard that hasn't been sitting in an acid bath and has the Omnitrix around its front left leg. 999 still looks the same but with the symbol floating in the center of his gooey center. When I turned to Mal0 it waved at me!
"Hey your heartbeat just went up you okay?" I nod then scowled at the monster. It was doing the floss dance. I turned it again, and saw other new aliens. Ogre, Squat, Ratling, an angel from Diablo and a Mind-flayer from Dnd… It is fucking with me. I know it. I hate naming things I freaking suck at it. "Well you look okay for a geezer." I growled "I'm going to punt you across the command center if you keep doing that." I glared at him, without batting an eyelash, "Hm increase blood pressure may need to keep you overnight just be safe." He gives me a shit-eating grin. I stared at him, rolling my eyes, "Okay Doctor you win I'll wait." He laughs, "You're free to go." I groan
I walked outta there like my ass was on fire. I made my way to the Command Center, when I got there I went up to the Commander and Saluted. "Sargent Jack Lace reporting for duty sir!" He gave me a salute, "At ease Sargent, have you been debriefed yet?" I grimace, Yes and no sir. I got some highlights but when I transformed to heal myself I got the whole picture and now I don't know." His eye ridge arch up. "A no would suffice Sargent." I nodded as he gestured to the Holotable. "Good news first, You gave us a new friend in our fight for the Greater Good." The holotable showed the Tech-Priest from earlier. "He said he won't become a Heratek but he wants to know how we 'an outcast splinter' are advancing so quickly without succumbing to damnation."
He rolled his eyes, the Holotable showed three of the Space Sharks, one had a psyker hood and another was a Techmarine. The third was the Champion, the hologram showed the champion fighting with the Infernos. They were teaching them? "Catachan Marine Champion was impressed with the False Marines and wanted to see if they could be better." Then the holotable showed 13 Taucrons wearing robes like the Knight of the Old Republic Dark Jedi.
I turned to the Commander, "Only thirteen?" He nodded, "It's apparently hard to make 'Living Metal' to do what you want. But it is getting easier so says the Metal Caste. The Necrons are contained for now. But still a problem. Hopefully we'll deal with them soon." The holotable zoomed out just a bit to show a new city being built. "The last bit of good news is that the new Droid Works Foundry is mostly operational and in full production swing." I nod in appreciation.
The Commander sighed, "Now the bad news, while we have contained the Necron they're taking a toll on our forces. Sure most of those forces are the Forged, but for everyone we take out they take out either a few hundred or at least up to a thousand." I nodded, "I'm guessing the Foundry is in need of constant replacing of parts?" He nods grimly, with a wave of his hand the map zoomed out to the other side of the planet. To a Continent of nothing but flat plains. And another Foundry being built.
"This foundry is getting spares to build itself up. Once one part is down it helps with the rest. And as of an hour ago it's now self sustaining. It's going to send as much as it can to help with the workload." I nod, "And the other Bad News?" Again the holotable zoomed out till we could see the star system. At the western side was fleet battle with Imperium, Chaos, Tau Empire and The Farsight Navy are in one big cluster-fuck. The largest out of all this was the Farsight Fleet. With the massive ships in the back and the smaller and faster ships cutting into the all sides.
The Imperium was sporting several Battle Barges, all but one had the Space Shark symbol. The lone chapter happened to be a Space Wolf Battle Barge. The Chaos mostly Word Bearers, with a few random other Warbands that I didn't recognise. With the Tau Empire staying as far away from the fight. Firing at the maximum range, I can see that some of them are taking pot shots at us but mostly dealing with the main cluster. I turned to the Commander, "Your orders sir?" "Your order Sergeant is to report to your CO. He'll have your Orders."
He salutes and I do the same, I then head to our barracks. When I made it outside I was met with three Goto's Droids. With each three more Remote Droids. They each made a hologram in front of themselves. I see Jury-Rigg, Greymatter and Brainstorm. The Jury-Rigg smiled widely, "Heya pops, My name is Fixit, We got a bunch of ideas formalized and need some help in getting them started." The Greymatter rolls his eyes, "Hm Quite, we can finally clone your Mineral base aliens as well as the Starborn Alien. Oh yes, My name is Laana."
My eyes widened, he was a she. Brainstorm scratches under their brain plates? "Designation is BS-77-O1. MC-Units have made great strides in the creation of alternate allies. Subject 1: ME Races has had a population boom. Subject 2: Horizon projects have gone into full production. Subject 3: Multi-punk technologies are being implemented. Subje-" Fixit made a loud snoring sound, "God, you're so boring O1. Just put all that in a file and send it to him later." I thought that, er, O1 would get angry, but they crouch. I think it was indicating embarrassment. "Forgive me, I ramble when excited. Most programs are exceeding projected parameters. MC-Units were too pessimistic."
I put my hands up, "What do you need me to do?" Laana cleared her throat, "We need updated samples of your aliens. Including the ones that are new." I nodded and gestured for them to follow towards the barracks training area. And I spotted Lt waiting for me, who looked happy. "Oh good they found you. I assume they told you why they're here?" I nod, "Yes sir, Let's get this over with." We of course started with what they deemed the hardest one.
Heatblast, a being born on a start. For the cloning to happen I needed to literally pay with an arm and leg. But with a bunch of rock and metal around I was able to reform them. After that I grabbed my limbs and bunched them up in a ball. I had to put it in a metal box to keep it heated. Now onto my rocky forms. Chromastone was the first one, they took a couple of my 'teeth' and one of my hands. When I was Heatblast, getting my limbs cut off didn't hurt but was a discomfort.
Chromastone didn't feel anything, Diamondhead on the other hand felt everything. If a bit gets cracked, even a little bit, it feels like breaking a limb. They had to drill into me, with a specialized sonic drill. Did you know that Diamondhead's people had mineral blood? I didn't! The rest took about an hour to finish. The only exceptions to the Cloning process are the Demons, Bug-out, and the SCPs. The Psionics aliens are off of the list thanks to the success of the Psi-marines.
I then had the largest headache as I lay on the bench. I saw Blana walking to me, "Sarge! How is it going?!" I groaned and sent her a glare. She gave me a smirk right back. "That's what you get for passing out so many times. And turning into an Old Geezer. How are you again?" I sat up and groaned again, "I don't know, I'm pretty sure that I aged a century." She was looking at me curiously, "You okay Blana?" Her eyes widened a bit. "I was just thinking you look good with a beard. Though you should cut your hair a bit short."
Her face was slightly red, I grinned at her, "You're cute too." She pouts at me, "Just so you know Sargent Lace, Sir, I can make your death look like an accident." She punches my arm. I rubbed my arm, "Ow I should write you up for that." She rolled her eyes, Fex and Marrick came out of the barracks with their duffel bags. I stood up and they gave me a salute. I return it, "What's happening?" Fex cracks his neck, twice. "We got our marching orders, Sir. For the first time ever, we have made a truce with the Tau Empire."
Marrick nods, "They realize that they can't slow us down anymore. Commander Farsight stated that we won't bow to them anymore. But it'll be good to have the old allies back." I gesture for them to continue, Fex grunt, "We are heading to a new location that isn't associated with any faction." Marrick holds up his arm and brings up his Omni-Tool. I get a ping and look at my own tool. I see an ugly looking asteroid station. I saw that it was in the reach of a hundred different sub-sectors that intersected. Looking further into the map I saw a world that terrified me.
"The Aurelia Sub-sector? Are we meant to conquer it?" They shook their heads, Marrick scratches cheek, "I don't think so Sir, I think it's meant to be more of an observation operation." He shrugs, I nod and we go to pack our things. When we were done, we got on the fastest ship. And headed to Station Lukal. The Ship was large enough to house our squad with few extra. Speaking of extras. I met our newest members. A Taucron named Cleo and a familiar sparkling battle droid. It was named BD-G1. It was just a regular B1 droid, but shiny. It was doing pull ups.
I went to the cockpit to see Kei'rue putting us into hyperspace. "Shifter back? You tired? Need Cleaning?" I nod, "I am tired and I do need a shower. Does this ship have one?" She shakes her head, "Have Wipes. You need help?" I sat in the Copilot seat. "Kei? Are you proposing to me?" Her teeth chatter a bit, "Not Proposing, preparing to later." I lean back into the chair, "First Blana, now you, what changed? I knew guys wanted to be close but now you want to be a lot closer." She pulls a lever back as we exit out of hyperspace. "You good man, need mates."
I think about it, I must admit I don't find either of them unappealing. Which is weird to admit, but did I do something with Time-lord? All I know is that I transformed and we were separate but then nothing. "You no like Kei'rue?" She was looking at me worried, I shook my head. "It's not that but there's a clear difference in your behaviors. I'm worried what else might be different. I think I did something or caused something to happen." My head hurts trying to think about it.
She chirps a bit, "I ask later. I think on it." I nodded as the ship made its way into the station. I noticed that there were a dozen other ships of the same or similar make. We made our way off the ship to our designated rooms. Me and Lackic made our way to the base center. Despite the base being a moon sized station, it was tiny compared to the rest of the galaxy space stations. It took a few minutes to get there but once there we saw a few dozen Lieutenants and their seconds. The watch beeped as it gained a new set of alien DNA.
I heard a clearing of the throat, I looked at who it was. My eyes widened, "Kalm Elm?" The Eldar was wearing the Eldar equivalent of the Tau Commander Armor. She scowls, "I am not my sister, My name is Dar Lic Elm. I am a member of her Seer Council." Before I could say anything else, she held up a hand. "You are to remain quiet now Sargent and listen." With that she goes into the Main Plan of this station. "Our goal is to set up minor transwarp outposts throughout the Sub-sectors. Side objectives are to locate enemy strongholds and possible allies. As a personal request for my people, Eldars should be put higher than the others. If found, contact me immediately."
She pulls up a map of our location, which was named The Intersection. Mostly because a dozen or so sectors are pressed against each other here. To the side of the Map were four colors: Green means Allies, Yellow means Neutral and Red means enemy while the Blue means unknown. It was mostly Reds, Yellows, and Blue. There were three greens. And all of them are along the Intersection. Dar Lic Elm is one of three commanders. The green dots had faces next to them. Ours in the very center was Dar Lic Elm while the left one had Tsunami-Domos and the right had Female Tau named Commander Light-Heart.
Dar Lic Elm pointed at Tsunami-Domo, "Domo's job is to convert Yellows and find out where the blues stand. Light-Heart's job is to do the same but for the feudal and feral worlds. As I had stated before, Our Goal is to set up hidden Transwarp outposts on any world that isn't watched too closely. Each station is equipped with the most effective form of replication technology that the Enclave could design. When an Outpost is made it'll be manned by Geth Programs. They will produce stealth units to keep any wandering eyes away."
She pulls up our ship schematics, or everyones ships. The cargo hold was highlighted, "Each ship's cargo hold will be able to carry 25 portable replicators. We need to deploy 300 within the next year. We have locations to make it easier for you. Focus on the yellows, if Light-Heart confirms a safe location you may use it. Remember Safe doesn't mean secured or allied." She stood up straighter, "You have a week to rest then you have a year to finish the first batch." We all saluted her as she nodded. She gave me a pointed look and head's to her Room? Office? Eh. I need a shower.
