Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Sold as a Breeder

"10,000 silver coins," one of the Alphas with a chubby body bargained, raising his flag.

"500,000 silver coins." Another Alpha bargained from behind the crowd.

"1,000,000 silver coins." A huge man with a fierce look nodded with a smirk, his eyes swirling with mischief. His overgrown black beard was like a forest, his black eyes staring right into mine. His gaze promised a hellish future and unending torment.

My feet wobbled, my legs threatening to buckle down. I was waiting for another Alpha to bid, but no one seemed to say anything, as if they were scared to offend him.

My instincts told me that if I fell into his hands, that would be the end of my life. My eyes desperately scanned the crowd, praying for someone else to bid.

My lips quivered, I felt the bravado facade slipping away from my face. I have never experienced such inhumanity in my life. The fear and anxiety coursing through my veins made me panic more.

"1,000,000 silver going once, going twice…"

'Someone please bid!' I cried inwardly. My eyes stung with tears and pain, I felt like breathing had become painful.

"Going for the last…"

"1,000,000 gold coins." A voice suddenly echoed through the crowd.

Gasps of shock echoed through the hall.

"Is he crazy enough to spend that kind of money on a mere breeder?" One of the Alphas said with disbelief.

"He must have gone nuts. One million gold coins is enough to fortify a pack for a long time." Another voiced out.

"But who is he to be able to go against the powerful Alpha Lucas Wolf of the Bloodmoon pack?" Another whispered.

My eyes searched for the person who had bid the price.

Then I saw him, as he elegantly walked through the crowd, which parted ways for him, his hands tucked in his pockets. Striding as if he was examining the weather.

My breath hitched as my gaze fell on him. He was… he was the ice stone Alpha Damon who had refused to save me earlier. But why was he here, purchasing me?

But this option was far better than the previous one.

Alpha Lucas, the man who had bid one million silver, walked forward, blocking the path of Damon.

A growl echoed across the room, "Step down." He demanded, his huge body shifting with fur. His fangs elongated.

I panicked, he was trying to scare him away.

But Damon looked at him with an expressionless face. "Move away." He replied calmly as if he was not just threatened. And his voice was so cold that the temperature of the room fell dangerously low.

His words were like salt on Lucas's wounds. Lucas's eyes turned golden. His wolf prowled at him to let him loose.

To my surprise, Damon stood, looking at the enraged Alpha with an annoyed expression, as if he was staring at a child throwing a tantrum.

"Scram." Damon's powerful voice thundered in the air, forcing every beta and Omega on their knees, baring their necks. Even the Alphas struggled to defy his command.

I was surprised when my knees buckled, my neck bared… these actions were never intentional, it was like my body didn't belong to me at that moment.

The commanding aura lingered in the air like a mountain pressing down against us, it grew so strong that the werewolves began to whimper.

Alpha Lucas's eyes widened when he realized he was not just any ordinary Alpha. "A Lycan?" he said, his voice lowered.

Damon glared at him, his throat tightening, as if he was holding onto the last straw of his patience.

"The highest bidder gets the prize. Accept your defeat." Damon said, his voice chillingly low.

Lucas swallowed, he would be a fool if he decided to fight with Damon. He reluctantly stepped aside. But that act was like a big blow to his ego, his fists clenched so hard by his side that his nails dug into his palms.

His hateful gaze held promises of revenge. But Damon didn't bother to spare him another glance. Then he strode towards me.

My body stiffened as I saw him squat in front of me, his hand lifting my jaw.

"Not bad." He muttered.

He glanced at Beta Roy. "What are you waiting for?" He asked with irritation in his eyes.

"Umm… yes. One million gold coins going once, going twice, sold." He quickly concluded, using the edge of his sleeve to wipe away the sweat that was dripping down his face.

A smirk formed on his lips. Right then, I didn't know which was a better option, Damon or the huge, Alpha Lucas.

A cry escaped my lips as he suddenly carried me from the ground in his arms.

I struggled to break free from his grip. "Stay still." He clicked his tongue in annoyance.

My body immediately froze in his arms. My mind seemed to be going in circles, I couldn't think straight. Was this also the effect of his power? I wondered.

As he carried me out of the room. "My Beta will send the money to you." He muttered, knowing fully well that they would be able to hear him.

The cool night air stung my cheeks, the only thing reminding me of the present as he carried me towards his car. My heart felt like it was being slowly squeezed, each step dragging me closer to an unknown fate.

He carried me into the back seat of his car, before sitting next to me, his gaze lazily sweeping over my frame.

I've never been in the presence of someone so intimidating, even the look in his eyes was so cold and deadly. 'What have I gotten myself into?' I fidgeted with the edge of my dress.

"Look at me." He demanded.

As if I was hypnotized, my eyes immediately met his. I wanted to avert my gaze, his eyes were like an abyss ready to swallow me.

But his hand swiftly held my jaw, locking my eyes with his. I didn't understand why I was being so scared in his presence.

My eyes watered. I wondered if it was because of everything I had been through or if it was because I was that scared of him.

"Afraid." He muttered, his gaze glinting with distaste and disappointment.

He clicked his tongue again. "What a waste of time." Displeasure laced through his voice.

I didn't know what I did wrong, but I knew that I had just succeeded in making him hate me more.
