I never once thought my life would turn out like this.One day I'm just a normal girl living a normal life though not perfect .My dad pulled up at this humongous school that looked like it belonged in a vampire movie or something.l didn't want to say goodbye but l had to .l always felt different from other kids and l guess it's because of this
I was a witch ,well half witch but a witch nonetheless.l was on my way from the headmistress's when l saw him .
Eyes so red l thought l was hallucinating.l don't know when and how he got to me but the next thing l know he was next to me .
"You shouldn't be here"he said making me confused
Chapter 1

I had another episode today.A table crushed under my touch which was so not normal.These things started like a week ago after my 18th birthday .l didn't want to tell my parents about it but it looks like l have to .
I got home from school when I noticed that the house was eerily quiet.
"Mom I'm home"l shouted
"We're in the living room sweetie"she shouted back
I made my way to the living room .
Something was wrong somewhere.Mom and dad looked uncomfortable which is unlike them
Me:Good afternoon mom, dad
Dad: Afternoon sweetie how was your day
Me: Weird you won't believe what happened today
Dad:tell us later mom has something important she wants to tell you
Me:What is it
Mom:umm umm honey l think you would explain it better
Dad:ok "he sighed"there is no easier way to say this but but Sophie you're a witch
Me:huh what do you mean I'm a witch .You mean like those scary grandma's who fly on brooms and have green skin wearing creepy black clothes and a pointy hat
Mom:no like a real witch not from a fairytale
Me:haa hilarious you got me there
Dad:I'm afraid we're not kidding sweetie you're a witch
Me:That's impossible ,I mean witches don't exist and you guys are clearly human
Dad: actually I'm a warlock,mom is human
Me:How come I've never seen you use magic
Dad: because I've spent too much time here in the human world that my powers faded
Me:wait you're actually serious
Dad:yes
Me:well that explains why l have these ridiculous powers
Mom :What ridiculous powers
Me:l have these episodes when things get destroyed under my touch and sometimes I'm able to control things with just the movement of my hands . thought l was imagining things
Dad: when did it start
Me:Ever since my birthday
Mom:And you didn't think to tell us
Me:l didn't know what was going on and l didn't want you guys to fuss over me like you always do
Dad: You're our daughter of course we will fuss over you
Me:And that's exactly what l didn't want .Well tell me more about this witch thing am l going to have a wand
Dad:well yes but
Me:but what
Dad:You have to go to the school of magic
Me:There is a school for that ,cool
Dad:Yes but it's pretty far from here and mom and l won't be able to visit you until the holidays
Me:ok good thing I'm graduating next week
Mom: So you're not sad
Me: no why would I be
Mom: Because you won't be seeing us for like 3 to 4 months
Me: not really but I will miss you
Dad:we were worried for nothing then
Me:mmm so what do l need for magic school .Oh l need to tell Andrea about this
Mom:You can't tell her
Me:Why she has to know that I'm going to disappear for like 3 months
Dad:The human world doesn't know that magic exists and they would like to keep it that way
Me:Who is they
Dad:The council of magic
Me:The what
Dad:Just don't tell anyone and make the most of your time together
Me:ok can l go now l need to go shopping for the dress l will wear on graduation
Mom:Sure sweetie
The week went by really slow .It was like every minute was taking more than sixty seconds but l made it .l was so excited to explore a new world that l never knew existed but sad because I couldn't take Andrea with me .She was my best friend in the whole world but l have to do this,for myself.l always knew that l was different from everyone at a young age
Today was thee day , everything was ready from the night before so we were ready to go . Graduation went well which was a relief .Now it was time to go to magic school.Dad drove us through a strange wall in the backyard that l never noticed my whole life and we were transported into a strange world .It was the total opposite of where l came from .
He drove us through this huge ancient school written Valeria School of Magical Things .You only see this kind of school in book ,never knew they existed in real life too
