Chapter 13 - Game of Thrones: The Strongest Dragon C13

Chapter 13 Eugenics in Another World

Is inbreeding good or bad?

In the eyes of the general public, couples who marry close relatives are more likely to give birth to children with genetic defects, which is very detrimental to eugenics.

This is a scientific fact.

Since the primitive period of human birth, the cruel natural environment has long helped humans eliminate the genes of most dominant diseases.

Millions of years have passed, and when humans have developed a relatively advanced civilization, genetic diseases are all recessive inheritance-only when both parents carry the recessive gene of the same disease, their children have about a quarter of the chance of suffering from genetic diseases.

Note that it must be the recessive gene of the same disease.

Relatives with close blood are obviously more likely to carry the same recessive gene because their genes come from the same ancestor, and their children are more likely to have dementia or deformities.

However, if inbreeding reproduces for dozens, hundreds, or thousands of generations, all the recessive defective genes of this bloodline will be revealed-then abandon the children carrying the "paired" recessive defective genes, and the remaining children will inevitably have fewer recessive defective genes than the previous generation.

That is to say, through the cruel elimination system, inbreeding is conducive to reducing defective genes - a disguised form of gene optimization.

Of course, gene optimization is two-sided. In addition to reducing inferior genes, it also increases excellent genes - a more practical hybridization.

Here we only talk about the issue of "reducing inferior genes through inbreeding".

To achieve inbreeding gene optimization, at least dozens of generations of efforts are required. If new blood is added in the middle and new defective genes are brought in, all previous efforts will be invalidated and we must start all over again.

Without a thousand years of direct bloodline intermarriage, the plan of "noble bloodline" is better off not thinking about it.

The Great Celestial Empire does not have a thousand years of absolute family - the kind that can refuse royal marriage, so for the Chinese nation, inbreeding is always a taboo that should be avoided.

Even if we look at the history of the earth for thousands of years, only the Pharaoh family of ancient Egypt has achieved this - they were later defeated by the system of inbreeding because of the "low-quality" mixed blood in the middle, and everything had to start all over again.

But they kept giving birth to freaks and mentally retarded heirs, and they couldn't maintain the increasingly collapsing dynasty rule - if the ruling power didn't decline, would the 'noble' pharaoh marry other families?

In the end, the ancient pharaoh race was almost extinct - maybe not all the people died, but the dynasty and the system it established were eliminated.

The ancient European nobles also had similar ideas to the pharaohs, but unfortunately they were worse off than the pharaohs - for example, hemophilia caused the collapse of the European royal family.

The main reason was that they couldn't carry out thorough direct reproduction, and from time to time, fresh blood was added in the middle.

But what the earthlings couldn't do, many families on the Ice and Fire Continent did, they were the real royal blood.

For example, the Targaryen family.

In fact, there was a great inbred race on the continent of Essos - the ancient Valyrian Freehold, and the Targaryens were just a small branch of it.

How strong is the blood of the Valyrians?

Look at Daenerys Targaryen today and you will understand.

Except for the Valyrian survivors, the Duke family of Westeros (formerly the royal family, but downgraded to the Duke family due to Aegon Targaryen's invasion and unification of the eight kingdoms) are more or less, well, only "secondary" inbreeding, and they also intermarry with other families.

This world can achieve "inbreeding optimization of genes" mainly because their history is too long. For example, the family of the protagonist of the plot, the Wolf Stark, has a family history of at least 8,000 years.

The Frey family of the Two Towers, who created the bloody wedding, has always been discriminated by the upper class nobles because of their shallow background.

So how "upstarts" are the Frey family?

Well, they are just a "mere" 600-year-old marquis family, with nothing but money.

Uh, if a 600-year-old noble family were placed in the Celestial Empire, then all the above said is to say one thing: Viserys's behavior of preparing to climb into bed with his sister is a crime in the barbaric and fantastic world of ice and fire, but it is not an ethical crime.

The Targaryen family has always adhered to the ancient tradition: brother-sister union.

For example, Aegon, who founded the Targaryen dynasty, married two sisters.

Er, yes, two: elder sister Visenya and younger sister Rhaenys.

King's Landing is composed of three hills, Aegon's High Hill, Rhaenys's Hill, and Visenya's Hill, to commemorate the three founders of the dynasty.

In fact, Daenerys' parents, "Mad King" Aerys and Queen Rhaella, are also brother and sister, and even her grandparents are still brother and sister.

If Dany was born ten years earlier - no, about five years would be enough - she would most likely marry her eldest brother Rhaegar.

"And then?" Dany said to Lilith lightly, "Viserys is a bastard, I already knew it."

Lilith looked at him strangely, puzzled by her calmness.

At the same time, seeing that she couldn't hurt Dany with words, her anger grew stronger. She turned her head and pointed at Ser Jorah who was looking at her warily, "He fucked me too. Although he didn't call out your name, the way he looked at me seemed to penetrate my skin and fuck your soul."

"No," the sergeant had been guarding against Lilith's sudden attack and hurting the "poor and weak" Dany, but he didn't want to be involved. His face flushed, and his hands with iron gloves waved repeatedly, "You slander me, I don't think so."

"I have seen countless people, you can't hide it from me." Lilith smiled contemptuously.

"Ahem, you are Khaleesi now, no longer a popular card in Lys's brothel." Dany was embarrassed and immediately warned her sternly, "I think Khal Jaco would never want to hear what you said before."

Jorah Mormont had sexual desires for Daenerys, and she knew it a long time ago.

Well, before crossing over, I learned from Game of Thrones that when Big Bear met Tyrion in a brothel, he was hugging a silver-haired, purple-eyed Volantis prostitute, who was also cosplaying the famous Queen of Meereen—Daenerys two or three years later.

"Jaco?" Dany failed to scare her. Lilith's mouth became more and more twisted. She leaned close to Dany's ear and said in a way that only she could hear: "How do you think I followed him?"

Dany's heart tightened. Has she become Helen in Troy?

"Is he in love with me too? It doesn't seem likely." She whispered as well, not at all ashamed.

Lilith sneered, "Because he wants the same things as me, and you and Drogo's horse and tent are no different to him."

"Then you are not even as good as Drogo's tent?" Dany pushed her head away and shouted to drive her away, "Go away, I don't want to discuss these boring topics with you anymore."

"Okay, I'll leave. Anyway, the kalsi will return to Horse King City almost every year. I hope that you can join the ranks of the old women of Dosh Khaleen and still be as proud as you are now."

Lilith left angrily.

The next morning, when it was dawn, Jako's kalsi also stepped on the morning mist and slowly moved north.

It was necessary to leave. Not to mention drinking water and horse grass, even the firewood for making fire was gone. It was gone a few days ago.

The Red Wasteland was dry and hot during the day, but the temperature dropped below ten degrees at night. It was a typical Gobi Desert climate.

Walking out of the dim tent, Dany found that the outside world was frighteningly bright.

The sun rose obliquely, like a furnace dripping with molten gold. The burning gold liquid sprinkled on the earth, scorching the ground until it was dry and hollow.

The small camp was not quiet. The cough of an old man came from a nearby straw hut. A small group of young children ran and played in the open space of the camp despite the heat. Some women were doing daily chores in the distance.

More than a hundred horses without saddles were grazing outside. They kicked the ground, walked around listlessly, and neighed from time to time, as if complaining: Why is there not even a single grass seedling in this damn place?

Seeing Dany, the maids immediately waited by the side with water, wine, fruits and barbecue.

After wiping her face, Dany ate something casually, and asked Ago and others to command Kas to move back to the original location of the straw curtain palace.

Although it was also desolate there, at least there were hills nearby to help block the sun and wind and sand.

Qotho and Hago were still in the tent with Drogo, who was in his last moments. Dany called Ago, Quirrell, Jhogo, Kalalor and Ser Jorah to the shade and sat on the ground in a circle.

The first political meeting was held at the foot of the mound.

"Drogo's khals are gone," she told them directly.

Jhogo said as a matter of course, "A khal who can't ride a horse is not qualified to be a khal."

"The Dothraki only follow the strong," said Ser Jorah. "My apologies, Princess, but we can't keep them. Starting with Bonokko, Drogo's warriors have been leaving in large and small groups day by day."

"Well, how many men and supplies do we have left?" Dany asked.

"Khaleesi, none of your khals have left," Aggo said solemnly, "We are Khaleesi's guards, and we swore allegiance to you, not the khal, so we all stayed."

Dany was happy. Although the Dothraki were barbaric, their moral integrity was much better than those more civilized peoples, such as the Westeros people who treated the sacred oath as shit.

"Who else?" Dany asked briskly, "We have less than a hundred khas, and I saw at least two hundred of our people when we moved the tents just now."

No matter which Daenerys, the Dothraki are her base. The horsemen are loyal, brave, and straightforward. They are more real and trustworthy than the people of their 'homeland' tens of thousands of miles away.

As for Dany's identity, she is the wife of the khal, and she has long changed her "household registration" to the horse people of the Dothraki Grass Sea.

So she calls the Dothraki 'people'.

Others failed to notice such a subtle change in mentality, or the horse people in front of them always regarded her as a member of the tribe.

Jhogo answered her: "The old people with limited mobility stayed, as well as the cowards, the weak and the sick, and the new khals who left were unwilling to take them in."
