Boarding the ship, the two fly high in the clouds, scourging the planet for the distress signal. "I see a town over there," Zara points at the glass to the faint shapes below them. Upon landing, they make their way to a nearby town. A stormtrooper is posted by the entrance who halts them. "Where is your identification?" The stormtrooper inquires. "Free to go we are," Yoda waves his hand.
"You are free to go," The stormtrooper says, opening the gate. They put their cloaks on to cover their faces as they pass by stormtroopers who patrol around. Stumbling into a bar, the bartender pours them something to drink. "Oh, we don't have any currency," Zara pushes the glass back. The bartender takes it back as Yoda looks around the pub for a lead. "Would you know anything about the high amounts of stormtroopers stationed here?" Zara blatantly asks. The bartender freezes, and so does everyone in the pub who passes suspecting glances at them.
"You two are not from around here, are you?" The bartender asks. "We were stopping by," She responds. "Well, you should keep your nose out of Imperial business. We don't need any more problems with the Empire. Who knows why they stationed all these stormtroopers here, one must not question the Empire," the bartender places a cup on the counter.
"Haven't any of you wanted to stand up? The Empire has taken something from all of us. If we band together, then we might stand a chance," Zara starts. "Talk of rebelling against the Empire is strictly forbidden. Get out of my pub before you make my clients even more uncomfortable." The bartender points over to the door. Zara and Yoda leave the pub amongst whispers by the attendants.
"They're scared of us but not the Galactic Empire," Zara looks over to Yoda. "Nothing we can do there is," Yoda says. "Maybe the pilot was right, the Rebellion really has lost all of its supporters. We should return to Dagobah now," Zara turns around to see a group of stormtroopers surrounding them. "You two are coming with us," A stormtrooper says. "Go with them we will. Plan I have," Yoda says.
They are taken into a towering prison with multiple levels where they are thrown into a prison cell. "Good thing I still have this," Zara goes into her pouch bag and brings out the lightsaber from the Imperial ship. As the red lightsaber swishes on, Yoda looks at it cautiously.
"With this, we can escape," "Force, do you possess?" Yoda asks. "I have used the Force only once, but that was thanks to this lightsaber which gave me a small taste of immense power. And I heard faint voices which led me to it," She explains.
"A new lightsaber you will need, the dark side of the Force that belongs," Yoda says. "I understand, but I have been able to do so many more things with this than the times when I didn't have it. It could get us out of this cell," Zara stares at its shiny metal base. Standing, she walks over to the cell door with the lightsaber in hand and slashes through the cell door.
They run down the jail, passing by other cells. Yoda abruptly stops by one. "What are you doing? We have to get out of here," Zara turns back. Yoda uses the Force to push open the cell and steps in. "Could this be the one we were looking for?" She follows after. In the cell, a prisoner sitting on a metal mattress looks up at them.
"Who are you?" An old man asks. "Your signal we received," Yoda explains. "You sent the signal?" Zara asks. "Jedi he is," Yoda replies. "I'm not a Jedi. I never was," The old man sits up. "Yoda is a Jedi as well, we are here to retrieve you," Zara explains.
"I was cursed with Force-sensitivity at a young age, and the Empire saw me as a threat. I have spent the rest of my miserable days locked in this cell when I did nothing to rebel against them, but you Jedi are even worse than the Empire. My distress signals through the Force were ignored by those who went in hiding," The old man turns away from them on the bed. "Here now we are. Apologize I must for leaving you behind," Yoda says. After a pause, the old man speaks. "My name is Dorian, and no one can escape this prison. It is guarded by those Purge Troopers," Dorian says.
"They hunt Jedi along with those Inquisitors who wiped out nearly half of the ones who went into hiding," he adds. "We can defeat them together," Zara says. "You two can escape, but I won't make it," Dorian turns away on the bed.
"Free you we must," Yoda insists. She walks over to Dorian with a saber in hand. He doesn't flinch as she cuts through the chains. "Are we getting out of here or what?" he stands. Zara peeks out of the jail cell, scanning as marching stormtroopers disappear down the hallway. "That way," Zara motions to the hallway. The group makes it down a dark hallway with metal walls, where Yoda again halts. Dorian freezes still. "It's one of them, a Purge Trooper," he has a grave look.
A Purge trooper dressed in all-black reflective armor stands at the end of the hallway. "We shall duel," Zara says, swishing on the red lightsaber. The Purge Trooper then removes her helmet, revealing a young woman with short black hair. Her eyes glow yellow, a sign that she has been consumed by the Dark Side of the Force.
Wielding a yellow lightsaber of her own, the Purge Trooper unnaturally moves, running towards them faster than Zara can blink. Zara strikes against the yellow saber, the two weapons clashing in a duel. The Purge Trooper blocks all of Zara's clumsy attacks."That lightsaber that you yield is not of your own. It does not belong to you, and I will be taking it," The Purge Trooper declares. "You shouldn't get too distracted," Zara says, using the Force to push the Purge Trooper back.
The Purge Trooper halts, seemingly impressed. "It is a shame that someone with such a magnitude of Force sensitivity is with the Jedi," The Purge Trooper says. Zara focuses, holding onto the saber. She runs up, striking the Purge Trooper who immediately blocks with a single swipe. "You are becoming sloppy," The Purge Trooper says as Zara puts all of her might into her swings. Zara takes a step back, catching her breath, running out of strength. Yoda then steps ahead of her.
"You are a brave lifeform, but this is your end," The Purge Trooper twirls the saber in her hand, as if this is a game to her. Yoda uses the Force to shove the Purge Trooper back, a magnitude with which Zara has never seen before. As the Purge Trooper begins another attack, Yoda counters it by using the Force to push her into the metal walls., trapping her. The Purge Trooper angrily grunts, trying to break free from the wall. "I have to use that trick someday," Zara says.
"We must go before they send reinforcements. Follow me, I memorized the exits" Dorian says, having stood back. As they run down the hallway, Yoda uses the Force to toss aside Stormtroopers trying to stop them. Dorian halts as he reaches the exit door, before he resolves a matter in his mind and opens it. Outside, a breeze blows through his thin white hair, and his glossy eyes look up at the clouds. "You both have brought me to freedom," Dorian turns to Zara and Yoda.
"Stand back," Zara says, looking down at the gate entrance where the Purge Trooper awaits. "It seems our duel isn't over," Zara swishes on her red lightsaber. "Defeat the Purge Trooper you cannot," Yoda says. "Watch me," Zara defies, running to the gate, swinging at the Purge Trooper.
The Purge Trooper blocks her attacks, now holding a metal electric staff in hand which she uses to electrocute Zara's arm. Zara grabs her arm in pain, drawing away. "You will not escape this prison alive," The Purge Trooper says. "Or at least with the ability to use your arm," Zara thinks of a plan but is faced with Yoda's comments. "Yield you must. Another way we will escape," Yoda concernedly says. "I cannot yield until one of us is defeated," Zara grips her arm.
She charges at the Purge Trooper who electrocutes her again. Zara's arm goes limp, the lightsaber dropping to the ground. Yoda steps forward, drawing out his own lightsaber. It swishes on, a green light radiating from it. "You have been hiding your weapon all this time?" The Purge Trooper twirls her yellow saber. Yoda strikes quickly, changing direction so fast that she can't keep up.
As Yoda strikes, she clashes it with her saber. The yellow and green beams clash. In a fatal swipe, Yoda strikes at the Purge Trooper, slashing her abdomen. She tumbles down, holding onto her abdomen which paints her hand red.
Zara clutches her arm, feeling all of her strength failing. She falls onto the ground. "Go we must" Yoda says. Above them, a ship hovers, drawing down. "Is this an ally?" Dorian asks. Yoda recognizes the Rebel ship. "I hope I'm not too late," Rex says from the ship.
