Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – Hunt Professionals, Monsters Evolve!

Professionals from the Silvermoon City camp all received the news.

"Y035622? Isn't that the professional who refused Luo Ge's invitation?"

"F**k, is he that strong?!"

The players of the Star Squad were full of consternation.

They all looked at their captain.

Luo Jun was also a little surprised.

"In such a short time, he killed 12 people in a row. This means the professional named 'Eternal Night' had a high-level talent!"

"Damn… I should've insisted on inviting him to the team."

Luo Jun sighed.

Guild promotion required completing system tasks.

Those tasks demanded they head from low- to high-level worlds, kill monsters, and collect designated items.

Low-level yet powerful professionals like Lui Xiang were key targets.

"We can only invite him next time we meet."

Luo Jun made a plan.

Then he looked at his team. "Don't just stand there—keep killing monsters. Once you hit level 5, I'll take you to Silvermoon City for hidden missions."

"Got it!"

The players responded enthusiastically.

They joined the guild partly to find teammates, but also for the guild's perks.

---

On the other side, Lui Xiang fired shot after shot.

He was making his way toward the lizardmen's outpost.

On the way, relying on Mixianghua, he killed hundreds of gray-sideburned wild boars.

[You reached level 3 and gained 1 free attribute point.]

[You reached level 4 and gained 1 free attribute point.]

With all that experience, Lui Xiang quickly gained two levels.

He had increased his Agility by 4 points, and the rest of his four-dimensional attributes by 2 points.

He then split his attribute points equally between Strength and Agility.

Physical Attack: 76

Attack Speed: 3.05/s

After hours of combat, Lui Xiang paused to rest.

He was now only 2 kilometers from the Lizardman Post.

He sat down and took stock of his gains.

He had obtained 85 reward chests, 263 plane coins, and 125 pieces of D-tier equipment.

Many pieces were duplicates.

Lastly, he acquired 11 [Charge] skill books.

In the world of Silvermoon, gray-eyed wild boars already had the highest drop rate for skills.

Lui Xiang activated [Arrow Carry the Path] and consumed the skill books.

[Ding! Your archery has effect 3: After attacking, movement speed +12%, attack distance +6, bonus clears after battle.]

Attack Range: 42.5 → 48

He closed the talent panel and glanced at his arrow reserves.

"Dozens of arrows left in my backpack…"

"The Lizardman Outpost will be tough. I need to stock up."

With that, Lui Xiang began using [Iron Arrow Manufacturing] repeatedly.

One arrow per second.

He had 380 mana, enough to make 380 arrows.

When his mana depleted, he drank a potion to restore it.

[Hint: Your 'Iron Arrow Manufacturing' has reached LV3. Effect: consume 3 mana to create 3 iron arrows...]

Now LV3, his efficiency tripled while cooldown remained at 1 second.

Lui Xiang's arrow count reached 1200.

---

"There's a human here!"

Suddenly, three rival professionals appeared.

Boom—

Three fireballs came flying. Lui Xiang dove behind a tree, narrowly dodging them.

The tree trunk charred black.

"Here comes another group of dead men."

Lui Xiang retaliated.

Precision Shot!

Basic Attack!

He drew the Bloodtooth Longbow and fired four arrows. Each struck a vital spot.

[Hint: Your 'Precision Shot' hits the vital position…]

-160!

-132!

All weak point damage. The first target turned into blood mist. Lui Xiang shot again—this time a crit.

[Hint: You killed the professional 'N032532'. Silvermoon City camp points +1.]

A treasure chest dropped from the corpse.

"So much damage!"

The other two enemies were stunned, growing tense.

They knew—they'd kicked an iron wall.

Bang!

The mage summoned another fireball, but due to [Multiple Flames], it split and struck Lui Xiang twice.

-80! -40! -40!

Because of effect 4, Lui Xiang had 1440 HP—the damage barely scratched him.

"So tanky?!"

The mage's face changed, only to be answered by a flurry of arrows. He collapsed instantly.

Lui Xiang didn't stop.

Precision Shot + Basic Attack finished the last enemy swiftly.

[Hint: Your 'Precision Shot' has reached LV2. New Effect: Consumes 6 mana, accuracy +6, and deals [20 + Physical Attack x 120%] physical damage.]

[Number of heads in this round: 22]

[Silvermoon City faction points: 3968]

With 22 kills, he would get a decent score when the world ended.

"There are bonus rewards for 50 and 100 kills."

"I'll keep pushing."

Lui Xiang considered his options.

In his current game area, professionals from both factions already numbered over 100,000.

A brutal faction war was ongoing.

Only one faction could win.

Failure in the novice world came with a punishment:

Life span -7 days, plus a 7-day ban from entering any "Heavens" world.

"The Silvermoon City faction currently has the advantage. As long as we maintain it, we should win."

"Let's see what I picked up."

Lui Xiang walked over and opened the three professional chests.

[Ding! You obtained: 'Planar Coin x80', 'Dragon's Breath Grass (C-tier) x5', ...]

As players leveled up, the loot they carried improved too.

"Dragon's Breath Grass? On them?!"

Lui Xiang was surprised.

In a dream, he'd once seen a professional use Dragon's Breath Grass to lure powerful monsters.

Now, he had proof the dream might be real.

He opened the map and found coordinates.

"The monster habitat's not far!"

Lui Xiang's eyes locked onto a location.

He decided to go.

Killing powerful monsters also boosted world score.

Higher novice world scores meant better progression later.

Everyone knew that.

Lui Xiang advanced for over an hour and finally arrived at a valley entrance.

The closer he got to the outpost, the more enemies appeared.

Thanks to his high burst damage, Lui Xiang could one-shot professionals at his level.

Unless someone had unusually high defense or health, they couldn't tank him.

With his speed boost, no one could catch him either.

"Damn it!"

"Why is his range so huge?!"

His enemies were infuriated.

But Lui Xiang didn't care for loot—even if treasure chests dropped, he left them.

Too many enemies.

He focused solely on kills.

28… 29… 30…

Eventually, his kill count hit 40.

Just 10 more to reach the first reward threshold.

Nearby enemies started grouping up.

Only then did Lui Xiang stop hunting.

He arrived at a sparsely populated zone—the monster's domain.

Lui Xiang stepped into the valley.

He pulled out five Dragon's Breath Grasses and scattered them.

Then he retreated into the forest and used an item to hide his scent.

Gollum~~

Soon, a behemoth approached.

A massive wild boar with rippling muscles and terrifying tusks.

It sniffed the air and saw nothing unusual.

Then, it munched down the Dragon's Breath Grass.

Roar!!

It suddenly let out a furious roar. Pale yellow light enveloped its body, and it started expanding.

"Evolution?! Wait... I think I threw out all the Dragon's Breath Grass."

Suddenly, he remembered his dream.

The professional in that vision had only used one piece of Dragon's Breath Grass.

But he had used five!
