** Chapter 1: THE BIRTH OF CHAOS**
----------------
In the heart of the powerful Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. Inside the residence of one of the clan elders, silence reigned supreme. Two people were present: a man with black hair, a firm gaze, and a commanding presence held the hand of a woman with long violet hair, as beautiful as she was cold.
"It's time, Zi Ji…," the man said in a deep voice. "He's about to be born."
"Yes, I can feel it, Zhenhai... Something inside him is awakening," the woman replied, tenderness and nervousness in her eyes. Her name was Zi Ji, a former spirit beast who now lived among humans.
The couple looked toward a nursery where, at the center, rested a large egg with a black shell and white patterns.
Zi Ji, looking at the egg, for a moment recalled the day she found it in the depths of the Star Dou Forest, 30,000 years ago.
On a night when the sky was torn apart by incessant lightning, as if the world itself were collapsing, she had thought at the time that some spirit beast was undergoing a heavenly tribulation.
After the tribulation ended, driven by curiosity, she approached the epicenter of the destruction, only to find, among the charred trees, a black egg with white markings, pulsing with a black and white energy that seemed to be in constant conflict.
At that moment, intrigued, Zi Ji released her spiritual energy to analyze that strange force and quickly sensed the aura of a dragon contained within it.
From that point on, she decided to care for that mysterious egg born of heaven and earth, and when it hatched, she would be its mother.
Since then, keeping the egg by her side, her cultivation skyrocketed from 150,000 years to 300,000 years in just 30,000 years. The reason was that the spiritual energy—or aura—surrounding the egg was like a heavenly treasure capable of rapidly boosting a spirit beast's cultivation.
"Crack!."
A dry sound echoed, pulling Zi Ji from her thoughts. Tiny cracks began to form on the surface of the egg, spreading like spiderwebs. Zi Ji held her breath, her eyes fixed on the egg as the fissures widened.
With a final snap, the shell broke, revealing a human baby wrapped in a gentle aura. His hair was a unique sight: white at the roots, like untouched snow, darkening to a deep black at the tips, as if carrying the duality of light and shadow. His eyes, open for a brief moment, gleamed with an intense yellow.
"He... He's perfect..." Zi Ji whispered emotionally, looking closely but not touching him yet, for she knew the next moment would be important for the child.
Zhenhai, however, frowned, observing the baby with a mix of fascination and concern.
"Zi Ji… is this normal?" he asked, pointing at the small one, who, with delicate movements, began to consume the fragments of the eggshell, as if it were a primal instinct.
"Yes," Zi Ji replied with a gentle smile. "He's absorbing the spiritual essence contained in the shell. This will strengthen him from birth."
After devouring every piece, the baby closed his eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep, his soft breathing contrasting with the powerful energy pulsing from his tiny body.
But at that exact moment, the sky above the clan changed.
Black clouds, dense as mountains, gathered into a furious vortex, blocking out the sun and plunging the clan below into a supernatural darkness. Blue and white lightning split the sky, followed by thunder that made the earth tremble.
The clan's own patriarch, Yu Yuanzhen, came running out of his residence, his blue robe billowing as he looked up at the sky with a shocked expression.
"Is this a spiritual storm? No… This is something much greater!" he said in disbelief, staring at the enormous amount of spiritual energy gathering in the sky.
One of the elders quickly approached, alarmed.
"Patriarch! What is happening? The spiritual pressure in the air... I've never felt anything like this!"
Then, suddenly, something appeared.
A gigantic dragon-shaped shadow crossed the skies above the clan, its overwhelming presence paralyzing even the most experienced elders. No one could make out its full form, but all felt its power. Even the veterans stood frozen under such pressure.
"A divine dragon?" one elder cried, his voice trembling. "This… this is impossible!"
Before anyone could process what was happening, the shadow vanished as quickly as it had appeared, taking the clouds and lightning with it.
The sky cleared rapidly, but at that same moment, a mysterious wave of spiritual energy swept across the clan like a celestial blessing.
Cries of astonishment were heard everywhere.
"How?... I... I advanced two levels!" exclaimed one of the clan members in shock.
"Me too! From level 86 to 88!" shouted the second oldest elder, named Yu Loumian.
"My power... I... I've become a Title Douluo. Hahaha! I finally reached this level. I went from 89 to level 90!" said the elder named Yu Leihao, laughing in a daze, suddenly turning to his cousin beside him.
"Cousin! Did you advance too?" Yu Leihao asked joyfully.
"Yes... I can't believe I reached this level... After ten years... I've finally reached the level of the patriarch. I hit level 95," declared another elder named Yu Longwei, eyes wide, staring at his hands in shock.
"Patriarch, you too?"
An elder beside the patriarch asked, making everyone look at him curiously, for if the patriarch had also received a two-level boost, the clan's strength would increase immensely.
Yu Yuanzhen clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles cracked, feeling spiritual energy explode through his veins like a wild river breaking through a dam. From level 95 to 97, his soul felt touched by a divine force, something beyond comprehension.
"Level... 97?" his voice came out in a hoarse whisper, nearly disbelieving, as his wide eyes scanned the sky, as if seeking answers among the dissipating clouds. "This is... impossible! In all of Douluo Dalu, only a handful of legends have reached such a level! How... how did this happen to me?"
He turned to the other elders, his face pale, heart racing, unable to contain the mix of ecstasy and fear at an advancement that defied the laws of cultivation.
"What the hell was that?!" he exclaimed, his voice echoing with an intensity that made even the most seasoned members of the clan shudder.
"Quick, gather all the elders for an emergency meeting now!" the patriarch ordered as he walked away.
"Yes, Patriarch!" one of the elders replied, rushing off.
**
In the residence where the dragon baby had been born, Yu Zhenhai closed his eyes as he felt his spiritual energy vibrate intensely. It was as if thunder roared through his meridians. Within seconds, his cultivation jumped from level 87 to 89, a feat that would normally take years of hard training.
Surprised, he opened his eyes with a spark of amazement. His breath quickened as he looked at his hands, trying to comprehend the sudden rise in power. Then his gaze fell upon the newborn, wrapped in a soft glow, a powerful draconic aura emanating from the tiny body.
"What kind of creature are you, little one?" Zhenhai murmured with a slight smile. The baby's mysterious strength fascinated him, as if the child held secrets beyond this world.
Zi Ji, beside him, felt a tremor in her bloodline. Her eyes shone with a draconic gleam. "My cultivation increased by 80,000 years. My bloodline is purer. What power is this?" she said with a touch of concern, watching the baby carefully.
Suddenly, the baby opened his eyes again, his yellow pupils glowing in the darkness.
Zhenhai, noticing his movement, picked up a blue cloth embroidered with dragon symbols. Carefully, he wrapped the small body and lifted him in his arms, raising him to the sky, where the last distant thunder still echoed.
"From today on, I am your father, and Zi Ji is your mother."
"And you shall be called Yu Tianlong," he said, his voice firm and full of emotion.
The baby stirred, looking at them. "M-mom… D-dad…," he babbled, a fragile but clear voice, his eyes locked onto Zhenhai and Zi Ji.
Zhenhai chuckled, surprised. "Haha, wonderful! You'll definitely become someone extraordinary in the future," he said, joy gleaming in his eyes as he held the baby closer.
Zi Ji stepped forward, gently touching the baby's cheek.
"Xiao Long…" she whispered with a tender smile, her eyes shining with affection.
...
Meanwhile...
In the main hall of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, the emergency meeting simmered with tension. The elders, usually calm, exchanged uneasy glances. The spiritual energy in the air still vibrated, echoing the phenomenon that had shaken the clan.
Yu Loumian, the eldest of the elders, stood with a grave expression. "Patriarch, was this a divine blessing upon our clan?" he asked, his voice firm but laced with apprehension.
Yu Yuanzhen, the patriarch, stood at the center of the hall. His hand touched his forehead, as if trying to confirm reality. "Who knows...," he murmured, feeling his spiritual energy surging at Rank 97.
"Level 97 in an instant... This isn't natural. It's as if a divine beast granted us a portion of its energy." He looked around at the elders, the weight of his words silencing the room.
Yu Longwei, the third elder, slammed his hand on the table. "I also felt my Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon spirit receive a slight power boost," he said, summoning his spirit behind him.
Yu Leihao, by his side, nodded, still stunned. "I felt the same improvement in my spirit, just like all the other clan members. I just wonder if people outside our clan received a boost as well," he said, remembering a certain cousin who had been stuck at Rank 29 for years.
Yu Yuanzhen raised his hand, calling for silence. His eyes gleamed with determination.
"In recent years, many of our clan's talented members have suddenly disappeared. I believe that if our enemy learns of this, they'll increase their attacks against us." He paused, sweeping the hall with a stern gaze.
"Therefore, I've decided that from this moment on, the clan is sealed indefinitely. No one in. No one out. This event must not leak to the outside world."
"Understood?" he shouted, looking at them all.
"Understood!" the elders responded in unison, their voices echoing through the stone hall.
Yu Longwei frowned. "But Patriarch, shouldn't we investigate the origin of this?" he asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and caution.
Yu Yuanzhen clenched his fists, feeling the new energy coursing through him. "Precisely why we will seal the clan. Until we understand what caused this, absolute silence. Not a word about the cultivation breakthroughs. One slip, and our enemies could bring war to our doorstep."
"Those who reached a new realm, tomorrow we will secretly head into the forest in search of some spirit beasts. For now, that's all… This meeting is adjourned," said the patriarch.
"Yes!" shouted the elders, standing up. One by one, they vanished in the blink of an eye, rushing off to stabilize their newly elevated cultivations.
Yu Yuanzhen remained in the hall, his gaze fixed on the entrance. Suddenly, he remembered something and raised his voice, calling out to one of the elders who was leaving.
"Leihao, wait! Where is your brother Zhenhai? Why didn't he come to the meeting?"
Yu Leihao stopped, turning with a slight smile. "Zhenhai told me he was going to seclude himself to try to reach Rank 88. But with this phenomenon, I bet he's already at 89."
Yu Yuanzhen furrowed his brow, thoughtful. "I see. Go now." He waved him off, but his eyes remained narrowed, as if sensing a greater mystery behind Zhenhai's absence.
While the clan stirred, trying to unravel the mystery of the phenomenon, another event was unfolding in the Star Dou Forest.
---
In the depths of the Star Dou Forest...
In a sacred clearing protected by natural barriers, at the center of the Great Lake of Life, the crystal-clear water reflected the clear sky, but its depths trembled with a subtle energy.
A massive silver dragon, with scales gleaming like mirrors, lay in a state of deep hibernation, its body surrounded by intricate magical arrays that completely concealed its presence from the outside world.
Even asleep, the silver dragon radiated a majesty that made the forest tremble, as if it were a god.
Suddenly, a voice echoed in its mind, carried telepathically by a black dragon beside it, whose presence, though immense, was smaller than the silver dragon's.
"Did the Queen feel that?" asked the black dragon, its golden eyes gleaming in the dim light.
"A new dragon has been born...," replied the consciousness of the silver dragon, still immersed in deep sleep. "For a moment, my bloodline was slightly suppressed by it."
"Impossible," the black dragon replied, its mental voice filled with shock. "Only the Dragon God could cause such an effect…"
The silver dragon remained silent, its mind probing the void.
"He was born in one of the three great sects of the human world... the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan...," she said, after using a bit of her mental power to investigate the phenomenon, almost instantly discovering its origin.
She then narrowed her eyes, remembering something, and asked:
"Di Tian… wasn't that where little Zi Ji went a few years ago?"
"Yes, it was," replied the black dragon, Di Tian.
"Does the Queen think she's involved?" he asked, doubtful.
"Maybe." The silver dragon narrowed her eyes, recalling the young spirit beast. "Zi Ji has always been cunning. If she's involved, this dragon is more important than we thought."
"Queen, if this dragon is that important, perhaps I should go fetch him. We can't leave him vulnerable among the evils of humankind," said Di Tian, concerned.
Without answering, the silver dragon simply raised a claw, still entranced. The lake's water stirred, forming a silver mirror in the air. From it emerged a female figure — a clone of her human form, radiating a fraction of her power.
"I will send this clone to investigate. I want to understand what this dragon represents... for humans and for us."
Suddenly, two small creatures emerged from the shadows beneath the silver dragon's body. One looked like a tiny fox, with bright eyes. The other resembled a white caterpillar.
Their eyes glowed with ancient intelligence, and their bodies trembled with an almost primal excitement. They had felt something — an energy that echoed a power they had once fed on millions of years ago, when they clung to the aura of a now-dead supreme being.
"This energy… it's like his!" whispered the fox, its voice high-pitched and anxious.
"We felt this before, millions of years ago, when we lived with him."
"We're going with the clone!" said the caterpillar, in a firm but trembling tone. "If he's like the old master, we must go."
The clone turned, her cold eyes assessing the small creatures. "The human world is dangerous for you. We can't be sure this energy is truly like his." She paused, her tone serious. "Do you really want to go?"
The fox and caterpillar nodded firmly.
The fox stepped forward, a clever gleam in her eyes. "My power has greatly diminished over the millions of years, but I can still use illusions. Even a Rank 99 Title Douluo would be deceived by me," the little fox said, with a touch of pride.
The caterpillar lifted her tiny body. "With my control over space, I can get us out of any danger in the blink of an eye," she declared, her voice full of confidence.
The clone observed the two, gave a slight nod, and said, "Then follow. But stay alert. This dragon might not be what we expect." The little beasts exchanged a look, their bodies trembling with anticipation, and quickly turned into light, entering the spiritual sea of the clone.
"Let's go," said the clone of the silver dragon, disappearing swiftly into the forest, heading toward the human world.
And so, beneath thunder that still echoed in the distance, a soul from another world was born — now named Yu Tianlong.
