Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: New Name

The school bell rang. The kids ran outside, laughing and shouting. Some went straight to the gate. Others stayed to play in the yard.

Juwon Haneul stood by the window. He was a young teacher, just a little older than some of the kids. He liked moments like this—quiet and calm.

When the classroom was empty, he walked back to his desk. That's when he saw it. A small game console, like a PSP or Nintendo. One of the kids had left it behind.

He picked it up and looked at the screen. It said Revenant Sigil.

"Hm," he said softly. "Looks like a fantasy game."

Juwon wasn't really into games. But he didn't want to lose a student's toy. So, he put it in his pocket.

"I'll give it back tomorrow," he thought.

That night, after dinner, Juwon sat at his desk. The room was quiet. Outside, the city was calm.

He remembered the game and took it out.

"Maybe just a quick look," he said.

He turned it on.

A voice told a story. Another world. Lost power. A boy who had no memory. The world looked dark but also kind of pretty.

Juwon said he would stop soon. But he didn't.

Hours passed. The story was good. The fights were fun. The music stayed in his head.

Then the game ended.

The last fight was too easy. The villain—the Hollow King—was beaten fast.

"That's it?" Juwon said, frowning. "That's the end?"

He sighed and put the game down. He felt tired. He lay on his bed and closed his eyes.

When he woke up, everything felt different.

The bed was soft and warm. The air smelled fresh, like flowers. Above him was a high ceiling with gold patterns. A big crystal chandelier hung there, shining.

He sat up slowly. His arms felt thin. His skin was pale.

"Where am I?" he whispered.

Then a glowing screen appeared in front of him, floating in the air.

Welcome, Orien Draeven.

The Revenant Sigil has accepted your soul.

New World Sync in Progress. Please stay calm.

His eyes opened wide.

"Orien Draeven?" he said. "That's not my name."

Another screen showed up.

Name: Orien Draeven

Age: 17

Class: Unknown

Memory: 3%

Body Health: 14%

He touched his face. It felt strange. He stood up and walked to a tall mirror.

The boy in the mirror had pale skin, sharp blue eyes, and blond hair that shone softly. His face looked calm but serious, like he was carrying a heavy weight.

Orien reached out and touched the glass. It was cold.

"Is this really me?" he whispered.

The reflection flickered for a moment, like a shadow passed over the boy's face.

A strange feeling rose inside him. A memory or pain he didn't understand.

Then the door creaked open.

"My lord? Are you awake?" a soft voice asked.

Orien turned around, his heart beating fast.

"I... I think so," he said quietly.

Footsteps came down the hall.

He sat back on the bed and tried to calm his breathing.

"This can't be real," he said, voice shaking. "I played this game. I beat it."

"But now... I'm inside it."

Another screen appeared.

New Quest: Survive

Goal: Stay alive in this weak body

Reward: Class Skill Tree Unlocked

Failure: Endless Sleep

Orien stared at the words.

Why me? Why now?

He looked at his hands. They shook, but not from fear.

"Excitement," he whispered.

He had always loved to learn. As a teacher, he read about history, science, and languages. He wanted to understand the world.

Now, he had a new world to explore.

He was not Juwon anymore.

He was Orien Draeven.

He made a fist.

"I don't know who I am here yet," he said quietly but with fire in his voice, "but I will find out. No matter what."

Deep inside, he knew this was just the start.
