Unknown Location – Silent King's Underground Fortress
The concrete walls echoed with the soft, fearful cries of Selina's son.
Time was running out.
Selina stormed through the underground corridors, her eyes bloodshot, her lips pressed into a determined line. Every footstep echoed like a war drum. Her palms were slick with sweat, yet her grip on the cold steel pistol remained rock steady.
Damian, barely recovered, followed closely behind, his every breath a struggle but his eyes locked on her back like she was his entire world.
She had faced death before, but this time… it wasn't her life on the line. It was the last piece of her heart. And she wouldn't let the world take him too.
Each second passing was another nail hammered into the coffin of her sanity.
Her heart pounded like a warhorse at full gallop, racing toward a battlefield with no guarantee of survival.
Scene Switch – The Final Confrontation Chamber
The Silent King sat calmly in the center of the massive steel chamber, his legs crossed, a single gun resting casually on the armrest beside him.
The boy stood just a few feet away, tears streaming down his face but his little chin lifted bravely—just like his mother taught him.
Selina burst through the door, her weapon raised, her finger already tightening on the trigger.
"Let. Him. Go."
The Silent King rose slowly, his eyes dark, unreadable.
"One last game, Selina," he purred. "Are you willing to pay the ultimate price?"
Selina's knees almost buckled under the unbearable weight of his words.
Was she truly ready to sacrifice everything… even herself… to end this nightmare?
Damian stepped forward, his voice rough and raw.
"Take me instead."
Selina's head snapped toward him, horror and love flooding her eyes at once.
It felt like the walls of the chamber were closing in, the air thick with unspoken sacrifices, every breath a final goodbye waiting to be spoken.
The Silent King lifted his gun, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips.
"Choose, Selina. Your life… or his."
The gunshot rang out.
And then—silence.
