Chapter 4 - "004: The Grand Plan — Su Mo Shall Become the Light"

"So you're just an ordinary person too?"

The Su Mo from the DanMachi world looked at the casually dressed Su Mo with a somewhat exasperated expression.

Was this a joke?

Weren't the versions of himself summoned to this mysterious space supposed to be ones who had all kinds of strange and powerful abilities?

Take himself, for example. Even if he currently wasn't any stronger than a regular person, he at least had Falna, the divine blessing that allowed for growth and power accumulation.

But now, it turned out both of the other versions of him were completely normal humans?

"...No, that can't be right. The power I'm sensing from the shared pool definitely isn't something an ordinary person could possess!"

With a puzzled look, Su Mo from the DanMachi world waited for a response.

"Hmph. Sure, I'm a normal person now, but that's just temporary!"

The casually dressed Su Mo grinned smugly.

"The world I crossed into is one where people can obtain divine powers. Literally a place where you can shoot straight to the top!"

"A world where you can acquire divine powers?"

Su Mo from the DanMachi world raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued.

There weren't many worlds that fit that description—but there were a few.

"It's the world of Campione!"

The modern Su Mo finally revealed the answer.

"You know, the one where, if you slay a god, you gain their divine authority and become an invincible God Slayer on Earth!"

"Tsssss—"

Su Mo from the DanMachi world sucked in a sharp breath.

The Campione world. The very idea of gaining divine powers by killing a god. If there was any world where someone could shoot straight to the top, that would be it.

But... killing a god to gain their authority wasn't exactly easy.

"Wait, don't tell me you're planning to challenge a god directly?"

The DanMachi Su Mo looked at the Campione world Su Mo with a kind of bewildered admiration—as though looking at someone who was both incredibly brave and incredibly stupid.

"I didn't think I had it in me to make that kind of sacrifice... Go ahead, if you die, I promise I'll burn some incense in your memory."

Killing a god as a human wasn't just a matter of strength—it took absurd levels of luck too.

He could feel the power he had now, thanks to their shared link. It was certainly strong, yes.

But trying to go toe-to-toe with a god using just that? Practically suicide.

Su Mo knew full well: he might be a transmigrator, but he wasn't the main character of some story. There was no guarantee of a miracle. No plot armor. No divine intervention.

Counting on luck to beat a god? That was just asking for a quick death.

"As if I would!"

The Su Mo from the Campione world rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed.

"You think I'm that reckless? If I didn't have a cheat, sure, maybe I'd be desperate enough to try that. But now that I do have one, there's no way I'm gonna risk my life gambling with gods!"

"Now that's the kind of logic I like to hear!"

Su Mo from the DanMachi world nodded in approval.

Someone like him—who plays battle royale games by hiding until the final zone—how could he possibly be reckless enough to charge straight into danger like some hot-blooded fool?

"So, what's your plan then?" asked the Danmachi-world Su Mo, raising an eyebrow. "Are you just going to sit around and wait until more versions of 'us' show up, and only make a move once we're stronger than the rogue gods?"

That strategy, while slow, was certainly safe.

"That won't be necessary," said the Su Mo from the Godslayer world, shaking his head confidently.

"With the power we have now, as long as the plan goes smoothly, a mere god is nothing. A flick of the wrist, and they'll be dust!"

"A plan, huh…" Danmachi Su Mo's curiosity was piqued.

"Since we're done with introductions," he said, "it's time you two tell me about this 'plan' you keep talking about. Also, if both of you are just regular people, then where's this strange power inside me coming from?"

He was genuinely intrigued—both by the so-called plan and the power he currently possessed. If these two were supposedly "normal," then how were they claiming they could take on gods so casually?

Su Mo knew his own personality well. He wasn't one to boast without reason. So if these other versions of him were making such bold claims, there had to be substance behind them.

And apparently, there was.

"Let's start with the power inside us," the Godslayer Su Mo offered, not one to leave others hanging. "Actually, before you showed up, another Su Mo had already arrived in this dimensional space. He's just not here at the moment. The power you're sensing—it's from him."

"He's from the FairyTail universe. Over there, he's a mage who's been studying magic since childhood."

"Ah, a FairyTail mage…" Danmachi Su Mo nodded in understanding. "That explains the sudden flood of magic knowledge in my head—LightMagic, GiantMagic… those are all signature spells of Makarov, the Guild Master, right?"

Ultraman-world Su Mo smiled knowingly.

"Exactly. The me from Fairy Tail was trained by Makarov himself. His main focus was on Light Magic."

"And that ties directly into our plan," Godslayer Su Mo added, eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Our plan is actually pretty simple," he said, brimming with confidence. "First, we let the *

Ultraman version of me become the Giant of Light and gain the powers of an Ultraman."

"Then, since the rest of us are connected through shared consciousness, I'll inherit part of the Ultraman power, which makes it easy to challenge the rogue gods in my world and claim their divine abilities."

"And after that," he grinned, "we'll all enjoy a buffet of power!"

"Wait, wait, wait!" Danmachi Su Mo held up a hand, interrupting. "Let's talk about the first step. How exactly are we supposed to become Ultraman in the first place?"

"No ancient warrior genes, no Spark Lens—how do we even start to transform?"

He hit the nail on the head. The power of an Ultraman, capable of leveling planets, was certainly enough to overwhelm a rebellious god.

But how to obtain it? That was the real question.

If that step worked, everything else would fall into place. If not, the entire plan would crumble.

"Becoming Ultraman? That's easy," said Godslayer Su Mo with a smug expression, as if stating the obvious. "We just have to become light."

"In the final episode of Ultraman Tiga, the children turned into light and merged with the Ultraman's body. And in the first episode, Daigo himself transformed into light, which is what awakened the Giant of Light."

"So it stands to reason—if someone becomes light and stands before the stone statue of the giant, they should be able to obtain the Ultraman's power."

"Become light? How exactly are we supposed to do—wait a second!"

Danmachi Su Mo's eyes widened as realization hit.

"Don't tell me… you want the Fairy Tail version of me to study Light Magic until he can literally transform into light—and then go to the Ultraman world to trigger the transformation?!"

"Now you're talking!" Godslayer Su Mo nodded approvingly. "You catch on fast."

In the Fairy Tail universe, elemental mages who mastered their craft could turn into the elements themselves. Laxus, for example, had once transformed into lightning to travel faster.

So, the Fairy Tail Su Mo could, in theory, achieve elementalization—becoming pure light.

"And then we use magical light… to activate a sci-fi Ultraman transformation…"

Danmachi Su Mo opened his mouth but couldn't find the words.

After a few seconds of stunned silence, he finally blurted out, "You guys… are absolute maniacs!"
