Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Dragon Balls

Eighteen years passed in a flash.

Inside a training ground within a textile factory, Smith Dole stood calmly in front of six opponents Mr. X, Cross, Butcher, Mechanic, Gunsmith, and Exterminator. Surrounded, yet completely unafraid.

Before today, he wouldn't have stood a chance. He was just a trained ordinary man. But now, everything had changed.

Smith crouched low, hands like claws, and suddenly dashed toward them.

"Wolf Fang Gale Fist!"

X and Cross were shocked by his speed and immediately activated Bullet Time. It enhanced not only their accuracy but also their close-quarters combat ability.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The next second, it felt like a wild wolf had charged through them. All six were sent flying even X and Cross, despite their Bullet Time, were instantly knocked out.

Fox, watching in awe, gasped, "Oh my god, Smith you're so strong!"

Wesley shouted, "Too strong! GOD is way too strong!"

Looking at the six on the ground, Smith smiled slightly. "Uncles, I don't think we need to continue this sparring session, right?"

Butcher sat up, clutching his bruises. If not for his fat, he was sure his ribs would've broken. He panted, "Smith, seems like we won't need to spar anymore."

"At least in terms of fighting, there's no need."

The others sat up too, waving their hands.

"You win."

"We admit it as a GOD, you're more than qualified when it comes to combat."

Smith smiled. He knew this overwhelming power came from the system that had finally finished loading two days ago.

In truth, Smith Dole wasn't from this universe. His real name was Feng Yi, an ordinary person from Earth. Before he crossed over, he had been playing the mobile game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. After an all-nighter, he fell asleep with his phone charging next to his pillow and somehow woke up in a world that combined Marvel and Western comics.

He realized it was the Marvel Universe, not Wanted, after seeing exhibits of Captain America and the Howling Commandos at a museum and a huge Stark Industries billboard in Times Square.

Oddly, the storyline of Wanted had changed. There was no Sloan, and Cross's son never left the Brotherhood for a normal life.

As for the Dragon Ball game, it became his cheat his golden finger. Unfortunately, it was stuck "loading" until he turned 18. Still, the Brotherhood of Assassins trained him in various skills.

From the Alchemist, he learned to make wax baths. From the Gunsmith, he learned how to curve bullets. From the Mechanic, martial arts. The Butcher taught blade techniques that could cut bullets. The Exterminator taught him how to make rat bombs. He couldn't learn Bullet Time from X and Cross due to bloodline limitations.

Despite that, these 18 years were fruitful. Wesley and Fox grew up with him. He also completed missions for the Brotherhood, essentially working as child labor.

Then, on his 18th birthday, the system fully activated—and gave him an amazing gift. At least now, he wouldn't be powerless when the Snap came.

The system differed greatly from the mobile game. It had only three functions:

1. Item Wish Draw

2. Character Card Wish Draw

3. Partner Wish Draw

Plus an inventory.

No top-ups or recruitment scrolls needed. However, once he used any function, the seven Dragon Balls he was born with would activate. He could only wish again after successfully making a wish using them.

Those Dragon Balls had scattered across the world at his birth he didn't have a single one yet. The cooldown was one year. After a wish, he could summon Shenron and make a wish, then gain three exclusive draws.

Shenron's power scaled with his strength. The stronger he became, the stronger Shenron's ability to grant wishes starting from Earth's Dragon Balls, progressing to Namek's, Evil Red, and eventually Super Dragon Balls.

It was like becoming Kami or the Grand Elder of Namek.

Smith immediately used his three draws.

First, Item Wish Draw. His avatar appeared on screen with a celestial orb overhead. Inside it: Saiyan space pod, Namekian ship, Ultra Divine Water, Dragon Radar, battle armor v1 & v2, capsules, scouter, gravity room, senzu beans, and more. Some items were only glowing lights—details unknown.

He selected a draw. His avatar fired a Kamehameha upward, striking a light.

Congratulations! Smith Dole received: Scouter (Gen 2).

He was a little disappointed it wasn't senzu beans or armor. Senzu beans were like extra lives, and battle armor was way better than any bulletproof vest.

Still, getting a scouter fulfilled a childhood dream.

Next, Character Card Draw. The glowing lights were early Dragon Ball characters: Kid Goku, Krillin (pre-training), Bulma, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yamcha, Chi-Chi (child), Ox-King, Nam, Roshi, Launch, and more.

One Kamehameha later—

Congratulations! Smith Dole received Character Card: Yamcha.

The card showed Yamcha as a desert bandit, sword in hand—before he trained under Roshi.

Skills: Wolf Fang Fist, Wolf Fang Gale Fist.

Using the card gave Smith Yamcha's bloodline and skills.

Finally, Partner Wish Draw. Again, early DB characters appeared: Puar, Oolong, Turtle, King, Upa, Ox-King, Bulla, Android 8…

Result: Partner Acquired – Puar!

Skills: Blade Slash, Puar's Support.

Just like in the game, Puar became a real companion in the world. If he could draw a healer-type in the future, it'd be incredibly helpful.

Once the three draws were done, the Dragon Balls around the world changed back from stone to their original forms.
